Hey guys, you did not actually think I’d allow that 10 year milestone to pass me by without commemorating it in some way, right?! Pish! Perish the thought!
I originally had more lofty plans to celebrate 10 years of blogging, including throwing a little party, but for various reasons, I put those plans to bed (but if you want to help or sponsor something, let’s talk! I can’t do it alone). Instead, I decided to give back to you, lovely readers. And it comes in the form of a humungous beauty hamper.
I’d stopped running giveaways here on MWS for a while now, because they just weren’t appreciated (fact). There, said it, and despite what people kept telling me, it affects how I consider giveaways. But I wanted to find a way to give back, and this was the easiest way.
In this very special My Women Stuff 10th Anniversary giveaway, I have a hamper of full sized beauty products that I specially handpicked from different brands. They are ALL products I personally use and still use and in some cases, use often and keep back ups of. If you’ve been with me, none of them will come as a surprise and you may even find yourself nodding along to each of them, as you would an old friend.
I have 4 5 sets for 4 5 very lucky MWS readers, so here’s what you will stand to win and how you can participate. There is one more opportunity going out, but you’d have to be in the know for that one, so you might want to get on the ball, coz if you’re in the know, you’re in the know! 😉
In this very special giveaway to celebrate 10 years of blogging on My Women Stuff I have specially selected and hand-picked the following gifts worth a little over RM2600 (US$600) made possible thanks to various sponsors named below:-
- Alpha-H Liquid Gold (review) – Sponsored by me because we can’t get this here in Malaysia readily. This is a product I am never without, and one I pick and use often for my lazy evening routine. I always have a bottle on hand, and now you can too! This is the 100ml bottle which will last you a while.
- La Mer The Treatment Lotion (review) – Kindly sponsored by La Mer Malaysia, I specifically requested for this item because I love how it gives my skin that lovely boost of hydration that makes other products work so much more effectively. I believe this will work for most skin types which is why I picked this one. I have back ups, and I rarely ever have back ups of anything!
- Melvita Nectar Supreme La Creme (review) – I’m not that crazy about organic products but when they work, they work! I enjoyed using this cream which is comfortable on my skin and gives it the nourishment it needs and craves in the evening, and it lasts a surprisingly long time. I wasn’t expecting very much, but it impressed me enough to be included in this beauty hamper. Thank you Melvita Malaysia! For oilier skin types, you may want to use just a tiny bit, or reserve it for evening use only.
- Dior J’adore Eau de Toilette (review) – I often say I’m not into floral perfumes or jasmine scents but for some reason, I adore J’Adore by Dior, that is both floral and has jasmine at its heart. But I’ve loved this for years and it’s the one I find myself reaching for the most often as I head out the door. It’s the one I have as a travel purse spray in my daily makeup pouch. It’s the one that makes me feel so lovely and feminine and it’s the one I just knew I wanted you to have. Thank you Dior Malaysia for making that possible! This is the 100ml bottle.
- Guerlain Meteorites Perles (review) – MWS or at least, Paris B is synonymous with Guerlain Meteorites, aren’t I?! I was raving about them and collecting them long before they became the de rigeur prop on Instagram LOL! I love them, and I still love them and every new tub released makes my head swivel around even as I tell myself I don’t actually need more. Thanks to Guerlain Malaysia, you will receive the special edition 30th Anniversary Meteorites, limited edition for Spring 2017. I don’t even own this one! Hmph!
- Dr. Brandt Vitamin C Power Dose serum (review) – I swear, this is the one Vitamin C serum I love and actually saw impressive results with and want to never be without! It’s so bloody effective, but expensive, so when Ken’s Apothecary, local distributors of Dr. Brandt, agreed to my request for sponsorship of this specific product, I was over the moon. You must try this and you lucky ducks will! I have to replenish very soon.
- Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lipstick (review) – Know me long enough and you’d know I love me a good, nourishing, moisturising lipstick. This one from Bobbi Brown impressed me so greatly I not only ended up buying more, I just had to let you try them in my favourite colour, Rosebud! It’s very wearable and will sit well with many people. Don’t blame me if you end up visiting the Bobbi Brown counter to add to your collection! Thank you, Bobbi Brown Malaysia!
- Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen (review) – It’s come to the stage where you shouldn’t even ask me what sunscreen I use because this is the only one I have used for years and for now, appears to be the only one I’ll ever use. If anything, I’ve become synonymous with the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen. If Shiseido reformulates it to the point that I cannot use it anymore, I will cry, I swear! Thank you Shiseido Malaysia for acceding to my request for the one product I am never without and for the product I probably help them sell the most of 😛
- Antipodes Juliet Gel Cleanser (review) – Antipodes Natural Skincare was the brand that revived my confidence in the efficacy of natural and/or organic skincare and this was one of the first products I used and enjoyed. I picked this one because I felt it to be the most universally acceptable for most skin types. It’ll last you a long while and I promise, you will love this as much as I do. Thank you to local distributor, TNS Skinlabs for kindly sponsoring this!
- L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (review) – I was very grateful that L’Occitane Malaysia agreed to sponsor this iconic product, because it is truly one every beauty buff should own or at least try. I love the texture, how it feels, how it smells, everything. It’s one I’ve used for years and will continue using for years to come when I feel like a luxury shower treat. This is the 250ml bottle.
- Caudalie Grape Water Spray (review) – If you think all facial mists or sprays are the same, know that I experienced enough difference in the Caudalie Grape Water Spray to include it in my beauty hamper. It calms my skin, cools it and helps my products and oils absorb more readily. Thank you Caudalie Malaysia and Ken’s Apothecary for being so quick to agree to my request for sponsorship. This is the 200ml large sized can.
- Stickers from Closet Planner Addict – I know how popular planners are today, and cute stickers too; so I commissioned 2 sheets of special edition MWS 10th Anniversary stickers from online sticker shop, Closet Planner Addict, and they were hand delivered all the way from Australia! They are so exclusive you won’t be able to get them anywhere else! Thank you for the hard work, Tine! If you love cute yet practical stickers for your planner, you want to check Closet Planner Addict out. Some of you may recognise the face behind the store, who is my good friend, Tine of Beautyholics Anonymous. I know that some of you have expressed to me your concerns that she’s taken a bit of a hiatus from her beauty blog, but I have spoken to her a few times and been assured that she will return. She just needs a little time to realign so don’t worry – I’ll make sure she comes back 😉
There you have it. 12 very very exclusive items to celebrate and commemorate 10 years of My Women Stuff. I wanted just 10, but it sort of grew of its own accord, and I actually had to stop adding to it or I would never be able to send it out! As it is, I’m hoarding large cardboard boxes and bubble wrap for this purpose LOL! 😀
But what you really want to know is this – HOW DO I ENTER THIS AWESOME JAW-DROPPING GIVEAWAY??
To enter here’s what you have to do:
- Leave a comment below telling me where you hail from and how you stumbled on my blog, if you remember (simply because I’m curious how far MWS reaches) ; AND

Hi PB,
I am Julie from Indonesia. I stumbled over your blog when i search for a bag review a few years ago and has since became your silent reader. Congratulation on your blog 10th anniversary. The blog has help me a lot when I need to choose skincare for my skin.
My biggest achievement in 10 years is when I can took my mother to China for a 2 weeks long holiday.

Wow – how generous of you Paris!!! You are always thinking about us 🙂 😉
I live in Sydney but my background is Polish. I think I stumbled across your blog when looking for an Antipodes review. This would have been about 2 years ago or so (mind you, don’t take my word for it – at times I have the memory of a Goldfish!). Ever since, your blog has been that breath of fresh air for me, when I need a break from life 🙂
My biggest achievement is that after years and years of study, I am now working in my field of study 🙂 Not only that, I can help my mum out financially. I’ve always worked a lot because I want to be financially independent but I’m trying to transition out of that mind set that I need to be working all the time. Now that i have a full-time job, I’m letting go of some of my academic work so that I can focus my energy on my full time job (and get a promotion LOL) whilst regaining some work-life balance.
Congrats again Paris, for making it through a decade of blogging! 😀 Maybe one day we will meet Internet Friend!

Oh I forgot to mention!
I’m also proud of the way my blog has developed (writing wise and my photography of stills). I haven’t had as much time as I would have liked to develop it, but I’m getting there! And hopefully now I will have more time for it 🙂

Congratulations for 10 blogging years! Be healthy and strong and enjoy blogging for many many years! It’s been so long and don’t remember the theme that has me stuck in your blog, a CHANEL review maybe, something DIY? My personal achievement has to do with my own life and health, after a successful gastric operation, I lost about 30 kilos. Of course the battle of self-control never ends, but I gain my life back. Big hugs from Greece!
Lily says
Heya! You know I’m from Ipoh, and you were the first beauty blog I read. That was more than 6 years ago. This huge giveaway definitely drew out all your silent readers, because while I see many familiar commentors, there are so many new ones. LOL! And I know what you mean about giveaways though. Sad but true 🙁 Anyway, to toot my own horn.
While I’d like to say my biggest achievement was to climb the corporate ladder and become a Vice President of a financial company, it’s not. It just made me realize the higher you are, the worse politics get, and I’m too blunt and emotional for that crap. So, I’d say, my biggest achievement is to overcome my fear of unemployment and not having my own income, my insecurities of depending on my husband, quit my job and to take care of what’s most important to me, that’s my family. Motherhood is a selfless and most of the time unappreciated job, and SAHM are usually taken for granted (people think we just sleep and shop the whole day WTF), but I’m proud to be one. Never have I thought I’d be one, and I wouldn’t trade the laughter and tears for anything.
If lady luck’s on my side, we’d have coffee while I collect the hamper, but hey, we can do that even without this giveaway eh? I was in a hurry the last time I was in KL, but hope you meet up with you next time.
Lily says
By the way, was it rude of me not to congratulate you again? I’ve written in my previous post, so I won’t repeat what I said then, but CONGRATULATIONS!

Hi Paris!
Congratulations on 10 years of blogging! I can’t imagine blogging for so long cos I’m flighty lah and probably get sick of it after a while..:)
I’m Agnes from Singapore but now living in Japan. Honestly I can’t remember how nor how long ago (maybe 5 years already?) I found your blog…I have a vague feeling that it’s cos I googled something and that’s where I found you.
I enjoyed reading your honest reviews on the products you’re using 🙂
Exactly 10 years ago, after working in a happy and safe job for 10 years, there was a major restructure and I was given a choice to stay or go. I chose to go. It was a big step at that time to leave a safe haven to step out into the harsher world but I’m glad I took the leap. Then came new work which was urgh in that company…anyway I somehow landed in Japan now much happier. Big lesson for me is not to acquiesce to something be it family or super close buddies cos ultimately it’s my one and only life and I jolly well live it for myself!
Anyway congratulations and hope to read more of your articles. Cheers!

Oh wow! Congrats on hitting 10! I remember reading your blog since my undergraduate days – when I was just starting to play around with makeup. And that was like – nearly 10 years ago?! Am pretty sure it was from me blog-hopping (is that still a thing now?) among local beauty blogs. I have to say, you’re the few ones which is still standing strong without sacrificing on content and yet aging gracefully. Kudos to that!
My biggest achievement(s) (yes, more than one occasions) is having a goal and working my ass off to achieve it. Travelling alone in Europe for a month, surviving on the skills I’ve learned over the years working and just being true to myself.
Cheers!

Congrats for your 10 years of blogging! 🙂 I’m from Finland and I’ve been reading your blog now and then for two years – but never commented before. I think I found here from some another blog but I’m not sure!
My biggest achievement… Well, I graduated for my first profession at 23, a year ago. I don’t know about your school system, but until then I was a bit weirdo here in Finland because I chose to work over school at 16. But when I look back now I’m not sure if I’d recommend that! And I’m proud that my disc golf playing skills have become better over the years and I still enjoy the game.

Hi! Been reading and following your blog diligently for over a year now after discovering it via BA. Yours is one of the very few I follow as … it has perfect grammar and spelling! As a teacher, it irks me to read terrible sentences and I itch to correct them. Yours? No such problem! ?
I’m from SG. As for greatest achievement, I’m proud of how much better my skin and overall health are in my 30s compared to my 20s. I definitely take greater care of myself now despite having more responsibilities and less time. I read product labels and investigate how a product or ingredient affects me. Hence, I’m always happy to read your posts as they are aligned to what I desire in my beauty regimen.
Long yakkaty-yak aside, happy anniversary to MWS! I hope there will be many more honest, eloquent and read-worthy posts ahead ?

1. I am from MALAYSIAAAAAA!!! I stumbled upon your blog when I was trying to break into the blogging scene!
2. My biggest achivement is that I finally bought my own house! My own crib, my own den!
Keep on blogging Paris! You always have my support!

Hi Paris.
I’m from Subang Jaya and I came across your blog ages ago. I believe I was googling something beauty related and your blog popped up. I enjoyed your writing and have been following you ever since.
My greatest achievement is losing about 12kgs about 6 years ago. Since then about 4kgs have slowly crept up but I’m still within the healthy BMI range so I’m at peace with it 🙂
Winning the hamper would be absolutely wonderful and getting to meet you would be the icing on the cake. (although I know you’re not fond of cake!)

Hi,
Ten years is a hell of a long time to be blogging! Well congratulations.
I am from Portugal, and I stumbled upon your blog while searching for beauty bloggers on google. Have been following you ever since.
I consider my greatest achievement, to have brought up my boys alone, while my husband worked abroad. I think I did quite a good job, if I may say so.
Keep blogging.

Dearest, Paris, congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone! I first stumbled upon your blog when I was doing some quick research on Caudalie products back in 2013, and have fallen in love with reading your reviews ever since. It’s not easy to find a local beauty blogger who’s honest yet able to articulate their thoughts as well as you do. I won’t lie, I’m more excited at possibly having a chance to meet you in person to chat over beauty and skincare 😉 my biggest achievement thus far would have to be my career. Still being a fairly young corporate worker, I’m grateful everyday having the chance to work on a brand that touches people’s lives and having the opportunity to build brands that are present in most Malaysian households.
Congrats again, Paris! Fingers cross that we’ll be able to cross paths in real life one day!!

Hi! I hail from KL and I first came across your blog in 2008. Would love a tea session (I don’t drink coffee :P)
It’s funny when I think about how I discovered your blog…I was Googling for Malaysian drugstore makeup and your blog came up on top (Maybelline Watershine lipstick, omg such ages ago!) I unfortunately wasn’t in the best of health and had to get around in a wheelchair for a short while, so I wanted to look somewhat presentable at least with makeup….and Maybelline lipstick it was 😀 and even once that (thankfully) short period had passed, I still continued to follow your blog as I enjoyed your style of writing.
Also admittedly I went through an immature phase of thinking “people who like makeup must be superficial” during my teen years – and you blog proved me SO, so wrong. Even today I still continue to read your posts as I find them original and classy, so refreshing from the overcommercialised content we tend to see from some.
My biggest achievement in the past decade would be….to survive medical school and am currently in a specialty that I love 🙂

Congratulations for your 10 year of blogging!
I am from Shah Alam and I stumbled into your blog about 4 years ago when I was researching for some skincare brand. Love your wit & honest review. This blog has been one that I keep coming back too.
Through your blog, I have learnt to take better care of my skin. I am not much of a make up person but beautiful glowing skin has been always been my aim.
And I am now using more & more brighter lip colours because of you!!
Biggest achievement would be having a better complexion in my 40s as compare to my 20s and 30s.
Looking forward to a favourable reply and no postage necessary. Coffee & cake would be nice 🙂

Hi Paris!
I’m from JB and made KL my permanent residence after marrying last year. Congrats on making it to 10th year of blogging! Yours is the only blog that I still religiously read every single day. Others will open the online news first, but I open mywomenstuff first ? Is a wonder IT never sent me a warning email, hehe. Really missed your updates when you took breaks, but agree that those breaks are much needed once in a while to get yourself realigned.
Reading your blog has really influenced how I make my purchases *cries my wallet*. Love how you provide honest reviews on every single item, regardless of whether is it sponsored or out of your own pocket. Your budget buys segment was awesome! Bought the za brow pencil on your recommendation as I faced the same problem getting my Shu Uemura sharpened in the shops, and having to face snotty sales people.
Greatest achievement I think would be not taking everybody’s opinion to heart as it hurts myself and not anyone else. Learning to be more patient and ignoring negativities in life. When life throws me more lemons, I just need to find more recipes to deal with these lemons!
AND! I just realised that I’ve been following your blog for 10 years, when I started working at 23 and now I am already 33 (but mostly as a silent reader)! From a fresh graduate to getting married. And I am proud to say I learnt all my makeup skills from your blog!
All the best Paris, and to many more 10 years!

Hello PB!
Co grats on ur 10 yrs blogging!
1stly, im from sarawak and ive been following you perhaps 8 or 9 years ago? Cant recall cos its been way too long. I cant recall how i stumble this blog too but ive been a reader after i started my st job after grad and right now, im already married and a mother to one and another incoming baby. If not mistaken, 8 or 9 years ago, internet shopping tru blogspot is really really popular and your blog came frm blogspot before u changed to .com (and went tru few process of hiccup regarding server etc). I was there during those time hihihi. Right now even my life as a mother really took a lot of time n i seldom have time to sit back and scrolling the internet, but i always remember this web of yours, MWS. Especially when i suffer some skin concern (from 20s age hydration problem to 30s age anti ageing skincare now hmph!) Or when i found some new product, i will immediately use ur search button cos i always always know u always have the answer and review.
Secondly my biggest achievement? I dont have anything big or large that i could brag about but being a mom is really really huge milestone for me. I never expected i could be a mother for many reasons but here i am…a mother to a son and another one coming soon after. Hey, ebing a mother is not easy. XD.
Thats all!

Hi! What an awesome giveaway to celebrate this auspicious occasion! I’m an Australian with a particular interest in skincare and cosmetics. I’ve been following your blog for several years and I can’t remember how I first heard about you but I think it was through Tine (Beautyholics Anonymous). My greatest achievement in the last ten years is simple and quite mundane but without it I know my life would have been incomplete. I have achieved and facilitated the successful passage from childhood to adulthood of my two babies, my beloved sons. Both have grown into kind and considerate young men with good moral compasses and solid careers. I gave up my own career and many years of my life to spend on quality mothering but it’s been my life’s work, my greatest achievement and my deepest joy. It is with great satisfaction that I can look back now and know that I gave it my all. It’s a great feeling to have no regrets. See – I told you it was simple but the best things in life always are!
Nabihah says
I really dont remember how I came across your blog. Probably from googling product reviews .
My greatest achievement is probably getting a license and actually driving a car around even though it’s an auto car. I’ve been scared of the thought of driving that sometimes I dream about driving and even in my dreams I feel nervous. I’m not the most skillful driver, but hey, at least I give signal.

Hello there! I am Fatin from Shah Alam, Selangor. I have been following you since forever, because truly i can not recall when, so long time ago. Not being socially good with people, i tend to read and do research a lot on stuff, thats when i found you! *Such a lame person huh*
Well what have i achieved in 10 years. Wow. As i am turning the Big 3 this year (30), i am also questioning myself what have i achieved. But i realised, its all been shapes very well.
Returning back to younger days, i was very ambitious. Studying and working in the field not many ladies would; Aviation. Working with the tools & live aircraft. Climbing, squeezing myself into tiny spaces, getting my hands dirty, working weird shift hours and doing unpopular stuff not many adore. It was like a dream come true for me.
But see it all changes after i got married, and have my kids. After the second one, i decided to everything behind and become a Stay At Home Mom. ? Meaning, leaving my dreams, those hardwork i suffered before to achieve the career, and focus on nothing else but being at home with the family and kids for some reasons. It was a struggle at first. With so many tears, denial, and depressions to deal with. ??
But now, after couple of years, and with the Number Three on the way??, i know this is the best choice i made in life. To nurture my own kids, to see them grow in front of my own eyes, to be able to be there when they need me, and to be able to say i am very lucky for these. This world needs more love, and in the new generations we plant the seed ?of love for them to spread in future.??
So if i would say in 10 years, i learnt that this life is more than just money and fame. Its about investing into things that are more important than that; Family, Love and Life. ???????
Its fun sharing this here. As most of the times we Stay At Home Moms (SAHM£ have nothing much interactions with other than our toddlers and husband? Well, and of course those stuffs you chose for the hampers; would love to have them. And rejuvenate myself with them, pampering myself would be a luxury for a SAHM, so doing them at home would be lovely.
Btw, happy anniversary ? Thank you.
