Hullo hullo! More celebratory fun ensues! This time, I wanted to share with one lucky winner 2 makeup items which are things I particularly love – blush and brushes. The blush is a Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Temptation which is a rather deep rose that I picked for being flattering on most skintones, although light skintones may find it a challenge. The brush kit was a gift from Shiseido and isn’t branded, but the brushes are lovely items that I know you’ll enjoy using.

Hi Paris,
1. The last skincare and skincare that I bought were YSL forever youth liberator serum, and YSL youth liberator serum foundation. The serum worked like miracle on my face. And I also like the serum foundation, especially for this autumn.
2. I bought the whole series Dior One essential including eyes essential and one essential mask, after read your amazing reviews about these product,. In fact I still using them everyday, after my regular tone and before my YSL serum.
I also bought Guerlain Madame Rougit blush based on your excellent review.

1. My last skin care-ish item that I purchased was Loccitane’s Precious foaming cleansers (the one with the blue bottle) and I love it !! I love the herbal-ish scenes that it gives and the foam ! Uh ~ a little goes a long way , I would say . ( people have commented I like weird smells so.. I don’t know.. Haha ! – like the Angelica range from loccitane , I adore the scent ! )
2. Yes ! I actually bought a bunch of stuff after reading reviews from MWS , such as the Hada labo hyaline if acid lotion , shiseido sunscreen , and even the Loccitane’s precious foaming cleanser that I currently adore ~
Robert c. says
Sorry typo , it’s the hyaluronic acid lotion from Hada labo *

1. My most recent beauty purchase is so recent that it’s not even here yet! A few days ago I ordered the Guerlain Crazy Meteorite Pearls from their new holiday 2013 collection. They are actually scheduled to arrive tomorrow and I can’t wait!
2. You have been the inspiration for many purchases, but I think my favorite has been the EL ANR 2. Hehe, that looks like some sort of secret code but I know you know what I’m talking about!

1. The last makeup item I got was Peripera’s Tint Water in 05 Candy Juice! I don’t usually go with that brand but I just love lip tints and boy, did they get t so right with the Tint Water! Candy Juice in particular is a bright almost fluorescent pink in the bottle but sheers to a strangely both vibrant and yet natural pink on my lips that remind me of peonies.
2. Oh man I don’t even remember the number of times I’ve bought an item because you mentioned or reviewed it positively here! In particular, I love the Vichy Normaderm line that you recommended; it really saved my skin at one point! I’m really pale too so your foundation and base makeup reviews always come in super handy .

Hello!
1. Most recent purchase was a Lunasol blush brush.
2. And that was influenced by your review! 😉
Kristin T. says
Forgot to mention that I’m loving it to bits!!
I’m not using my other blusher brush anymore >.<

1. What was the last makeup or skincare item you bought and did you like it?
I bought a lot of stuff recently of which Bobbi brown’s wheat eye shadow turned out to be the one I love and see myself reaching for it every day.
2. Have you been influenced by a review here on MWS to purchase anything and if so, did it work for you?
Yes! I trust your reviews and for me it if first look up your brand list, if you have reviewed that product and if it has been given a thumbs up by you, I buy it. 🙂 Not so experimental am I? haha. but thank you!

My most recent purchase would be Clarins Sunscreen Care Milk Lotion Spray SPF50.
Firstly I have never come by a high SPF protection lotion which doesnt have even a hint of ‘Coppertone’ scent. This one here smells lovely . The texture while initially think upon application absorbs very well into the skin. Was a complete sell-out in Europe over summer and I have just managed to get a bottle recently. Last I checked not available in Msia.Price circa RM110 post conversion.
Your blog definitely influences my purchase so much so I have decided to go easy on reading it on the months I need to stick to a savings plan! There were many products that did naught for me ( eg Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil, ANR, RMK Mascara, Youth Code ) Some of your favorites were incidentally mine too ( Clarins tinted sunblock) and some I loved upon your recommendation ( eg Australis Voluptulash, Laneige sleeping pack)!

1. Garnier Aqua Defense Essence Moisturizer. I like the cool feeling when applied. Keep my skin moisturized.
2. Yes. Most of the items work for me.

Last skincare item I purchased was Aveeno’s Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser! Heard many American beauty gurus raving about it, and since I was running out on my gentle, morning face cleanser, I decided to get this one. I don’t really see a huge difference in this one compared to my old Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser, but since I haven’t had any serious breakouts ever since using this (especially during that time of the month), I guess it does what it claims to do! and it doesn’t leave the skin feeling “tight” which i absolutely despise!
Oh boy, the amount of items that you have recommended that I actually purchased… let’s just say the amount wasn’t very pleasing to my wallet. From Face of Aust. mascara, Shu uemura Hard 9 Brow Pencil and Cleansing Oil (though it broke you out, it works lovely for me!), Bioderma Micellar Cleansing water, VARIOUS SUNSCREENS, and my favourite – Antipodes Cleansing Balm. I must say, I wasn’t very happy when i first tried it, smells horrible, makes my shower slippery and slimy, and hard to get rid of! But with it’s hefty pricetag I wasn’t going to give up on this and with more frequent use I found that it work wonders with my skin, making it feel smooth and supple 🙂 Though with this I have to wash my face at the basin instead of the shower because I slipped once due to it being so slimy 🙁

I have been coming here to search for reviews of a particular product I want to know more about so… Yay!

Fresh from a 1 week budget breaking shopping holiday, I came back to KL in mid September and still managed to pick up the Laura Mercier Mystical eyeshadow. I had itched for it when you reviewed the item in August and I succumbed to the purchase 1 month later. Absolutely no regrets and I love it! With a single color and shading/blending only, it speeds up the eye-painting process – compared to when I have to use 3 different shades and then blend and blend some more.
As for whether I am influenced by your reviews … my wallet tenses up and my credit cards quake with fear each time I am about to click on your reviews.. Enough said..

I recently bought Eucerine Clarifying Toner. Works well for me as my facial cleanser is to mild to remove all my make up.
YES! I bought and used L’Oreal’s UV Perfect Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector SPF 50 when you recommended it. I’ve been using it since. I’ve actually lost count of the number of tubes I’ve used up. So thanks!

1. The last make up item was bourjois color boost in peach and fushcia. I like that it is moisturising and pigmented
2. I almost bought Biore aqua rich uv watery essence based on your review, but i opted for Biore aqua rich uv gel on the spot, because the name suggest that it’s a lighteer formula. It’s very light and easily absorbed which i really like

The last makeup item I bought:
Laura Mercier Mystical Baked Eye Color
(which is also the first makeup item I bought in the last 5 years, no kidding)
Was I influenced by MWS? 101%! I was sold after this post:
https://www.mywomenstuff.com/2013/08/laura-mercier-mystical-baked-eye-color-dark-spell/
I liked that I could use this eye shadow for a basic-no-fuss-instant smoky look. Does it work for me? YES!
I’m going to add another question and answer myself:
Q: “Why should I win this giveaway?”
A: “Because it will solve my blusher (or lack of woe). If I win this, I will not have to figure which one to buy (I’ve been intending to). I do not own a blusher, can you imagine?”

1. Just got myself a few tubs of Laneige’s Sleeping Pack Mask! And love it.
2. What haven’t I bought? Lots of Kiehl’s for sure and still loving them. Thanks!

Hi, the last item I bought was Avon Anew Genics treatment cream. This happen just last Monday, so too soon to tell if all the hype was worth it.
I have been reading your blog since 2009, I love it, not only do you give tips and reviews on what’s the latest make up and skin care products and routines out there in the market, but your travelogues are very informative also, I love your South Korea one. Yes, reading your blogs and beauty tips made me a believer in cleansing oils, I love Kose items especially the facial wash, they dont break me out and are non drying, I am a Kose convert. Thanks to Paris. You are a G.I. for me ( good influence ) Keep on the good work. best regards fom Manila : )

2. i haven’t bought anything yet, but i sure am lusting for them Dior blushes! i love how your reviews are honest, not run-of-the-mill copy paste description of the product

1) I recently bought Heroine Make impact frame & curl mascara and I’m a little on the fence about it. It is waterproof, holds curl well and is a very shiny black but it seems a bit wet and prone to clumps, can only use one coat (I love piling on my mascara) and need to comb it properly.
2) You got me hooked on cleansing oils! Love the Softymo Speedy Cleansing oil. I’ve tried quite a few cleansing oils by now but still think it is the most reliable (no funky smell) and the price and volume are simply unbeatable!

1. The latest skincare item I’ve bought is the L’occitane Shea butter hand cream. I like the deep moisturisation it imparts and its faint scent, but I would prefer it more if it absorbed quickly.
2. I’ve not bought anything based on an MWS review so far even though I really enjoy reading them. However, I have my eyes set on The Shiseido Perfect Foundation brush and the Estee Lauder ANR.
