Hullo hullo! More celebratory fun ensues! This time, I wanted to share with one lucky winner 2 makeup items which are things I particularly love – blush and brushes. The blush is a Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Temptation which is a rather deep rose that I picked for being flattering on most skintones, although light skintones may find it a challenge. The brush kit was a gift from Shiseido and isn’t branded, but the brushes are lovely items that I know you’ll enjoy using.

1. Hydraluron! Have used it for a week and am liking it so far. My usually dry-ish cheeks feel better already.
2. Yes, and definitely more than once! The first two things I picked up after reading your blog was MUFE Super Matte Loose Powder (the SA was so nice, ended up picking up one of the primers and I think this experience encouraged me to brave counters more, to the dismay of my wallet!) and Kiehl’s Ultimate White Surface Brightening Exfoliator (oh love, love, love! Repurchased twice until they stopped making it. They need to bring this back, the new one they have doesn’t work on me).
Recently influenced purchases that I adore include Dior Wipe Off Gel and Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush (I got the drugstore version). 🙂

1. Let’s see…last skin care item I bought was a moisturizer from Shuu Uemura. It’s nice enough, though not holy grail. I’m still on the look out for the perfect one for my skin.
2. You definitely influenced me to pick up a bottle of Kiel’s midnight recovery concentrate. I don’t use it in the summer because it’s too heavy, but it’s lovely in the winter.

The last two skincare items I bought were Biore SPF 30PA+++ watery Jelly water base and Biore SPF 50 PA+++ watery mousse water base. Both were sunscreens but I can’t say if I like them yet since I’m still waiting for them in the mail!
I haven’t bought anything you’ve recommended or reviewed directly but I have looked up brands you’ve mentioned and bought from those brands.

1. My last makeup purchase was Dior blusher Cherry Bow. I love the colour for being subtle as i tend to overdo my blusher ;P
2. U are like the makeup blogger goddess so your review is my command. Hehehe… but so far i haven’t been disappointed with your reviews and recommendation. My favourite is your review on the lunasol blusher brush. I saved up money just for it and it really paid off. Never have to worry looking like a clown ever since 😀

1. It’s Biotherm Aquasource Deep Serum. I found that it did a decent job, my skin feels less dehydrate as I can see the reduction of oil/sebum on my t-zone area.
2. Yes. I was so tempted to purchase but the product MWS had reviewed are at a higher budget. So far, not most of the skincare works for me coz I’m having different skin criteria. However, make up reviews were really helpful.

1. Becca mineral blush in songbird. I love it so much as it delivers a soft glow on my cheeks!
2. Yes, I bought Lucas Papaw Ointment after reading your review. I was searching high and low and finally I got it at Caring Pharmacy. And it works for my dry chapped lips!

1. well the last item i bought was the Chanel les beiges powder. i was not keen on it till the SA’s tried it on me. and i was sold in an instant.
2. i would say i’ve bought numerous items from your previous reviews before. and just like you i’m a big blusher fan. my mom could never understand how many blushers i need. and one of the best item i bought from your reviews were the Chanel Notorious Ombre Contraste. Honestly i think you sold the product better than the SAs back when it was launched. When i saw it on the shelves at Chanel, i often thought what a weird color for a blusher, and would never thought of buying it till i read your review. and after that – it was just me hunting all over for it since its limited 🙂

1. Err…. I went hauling when I went to the US, so I don’t remember exactly what I bought last. I DID end up being broke though…..
Anyways, I recently tried my elf baked eyeshadow in toasted. It’s ok, but my eyes look kinda red without eyeliner to help balance the red out (I don’t wear mascara…. yet).
2. I’m usually not influenced, since 1. I can’t afford high end makeup or 2. I can’t get Asian makeup (for the most part).

1) RiRi ? MAC eyeshadow quad in “Her Cocoa”. I love the neutral & earth color in this quad. Great for travelling.
2) I love your blogpost on the Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate. I ordered it straight away from zalora.com after reading your post. Love it and i will keep on buying this product, no doubt!
Thanks for the giveaways!

1. I just purchased the skin79 serum trio set. I actually just purchased it tonight online, so I have yet to try it out. I’m excited for it though. $21 CAD for 3 serums, 30ml each! Definitely a steal, and I’ve heard some good things about it.
2. I always wanted a Dior Addict lipstick. But since I don’t have a store that sells Dior in my town, I’ve always struggled with what colour I want to get. A few weeks ago I found your post with swatches of a few dior lipsticks. I really liked Riviera. So a couple days later, I managed to find a store that sold Dior and I picked it up. One of my best lipstick purchases to date. I prefer it over my YSL too!

1. The Balm Hot Mama Blush. It looked like an exact dupe to NARS Orgasm so I just had to give it a go 🙂
2. Yes! I have been highly influenced by your love for cleansing oils and have ventured into using them myself, hehe

Thanks for the giveaway and hope to win it for my b’day this month.
1. My latest purchase made for skincare item was Loccitane Immortelle Essential Water. I like it a lot for its anti-aging properties and my skin feels more supple.
2. After having read your reviews, I had bought Estee Lauder ANR, Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Lucas Papaw ointment, Guerlain Meteorites, Chanel Joues Contraste blush, Shiseido Perfect rouge, Loreal Colour Infaillible eyeshadow, Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow and the list goes on…Never regretted all these purchases.

1. That would have to be Maybelline’s Color Tattoo – got it on sale in the States and it’s the best thing ever!
2. Yes Maybelline’s Hypersharp liner was a dream come true!

1.What was the last makeup or skincare item you bought and did you like it?
The last two items I bought were CoverGirl lip perfection lipsticks and a Bobbi Brown pot rouge. I’m still on the fence about both of them. I don’t like the smell of the lipsticks, but the formula is pretty nice. As for the pot rouge, I LOVE it. . .but I don’t. It’s so pretty and natural looking, and easy too use, but I just don’t like cream products that much. :-/ So it sits in the drawer unloved.
2. Have you been influenced by a review here on MWS to purchase anything and if so, did it work for you?
I’m sure that I have, but a specific product doesn’t come to mind at the moment. I usually do a LOT of research on products (ie read lots of blog reviews) so usually when I buy stuff it works. The only thing I am extra careful about is foundations because my skin is extremely picky about what looks good on it. Samples are my best friend! Mac Pro Longwear is *almost* HG status, but I just need to figure out a way to stop my oil from sitting on top of it without blotting every hour. lol.

I bought Shiseido’s sunblock a few weeks ago after reading your review. Its my first experience with a product that turns to a powdery feel after a while. Strange but I like it 🙂
I also bought La Roche-Posay Dry touch sunblock. Its a little too drying for my skin. So I use this on my T-zone and Shiseido on the dry areas of my face.

1. Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain. Love it! Wear it every day! 😀
2. Refer to number 1 😉

1. I recently bought the Apricot face scrub for blemishes and blackhead removal and I am happy with it’s result the granules of the scrub are not so harsh and after using it only twice the nose area where I have my black heads looks soft and better so I hope if I use it for a longer period it will help me more
2. I trust your reviews and from your pictures I can see you have really nice soft skin so I try to buy the skin care products you recommend but problem is I am a student I can not afford the high end pricey ones and also a few of other’s that you recommend are not available in my country but you recommeeded the Olay total effect and I bought it and I love it and I have been using it regularly since then.
Thanks xx

A brush with a blush! It took me a while to get past the title, because I kept thinking, isn’t it a blush with a brush. . . Then I saw the brushes. Clever!
Anyway here goes:-
1. The last skincare item I bought was the Hada Labo Gokyujun facial cleanser, to complement the Hada Labo ES range lotion and milk that I bought recently. I like it very, very much! It cleans well without drying! I just found out that my mom first bought it after reading your review on it, and I was influenced by her to get it, haha!
2. Oh yes, for many items including Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, the eye cream, the sunscreen, Shiseido sunscreen, Cancer Council sunscreen, and recently, Hada Labo products! The MRC worked, eye cream was alright, the sunscreen was a bit oily, the Shiseido sunscreen is the best sunscreen for me, and Hada Labo works like a dream. When I first tried it I wasn’t impressed but I like the ES range and the cleanser very much.

Hi Paris!
I’m quite a silent reader of your awesome blog and did not join much giveaways although they are very tempting most of the time but this round, hey, why not give it a try? So here goes…
1. What was the last makeup or skincare item you bought and did you like it?
The last skincare item I’ve bought should be the b.liv Japan Silk masks (Immerse Me) for hydration in a box of 7. Not sure if you’ve tried this but it’s pretty good. I quite like it and probably might repurchase in the future.
2. Have you been influenced by a review here on MWS to purchase anything and if so, did it work for you?
I bought the L’Oreal Paris Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum Leave In after reading your review and it was awesome! I’ve always avoid buying oil for haircare because i was too afraid that it will turn my hair greasy and yucky. I just want my hair to be smooth and silky so usually i go for cream or hair conditioning mist. But i decided to give it a try, and it was AWESOME! Doesn’t feel greasy at all. Thank you so much for your review 🙂

1. Most recent purchase is a starter kit from Pai skincare… haven’t received it yet and I’m anxious to try it out!
2. Shiseido Camelia Blush. OMG, so beautiful!! I wouldn’t know it existed if I didn’t read it here first. LOL!
