Celebrate October Giveaway No. 5 gives you a treat for the eyes, lips and face with a makeup base, fluttery lashes with mascara and a lovely pout with a lovely lip colour that’s wearable daily. A little bit about my Celebrate October Giveaways for the newbies amongst us. As a matter of principle, I don’t run many giveaways on my blog so I appreciate that those of you who do stop by, find the content interesting and useful and stay for the content. To thank you for your support throughout the year I try to find ways to reward you and these gift packs this year are my way of saying thank you. They all contain at least 1 personal favourite item which regulars will readily identify 😉
So, how do you go about winning this kit for yourself? Hopalong and find out.

The last book I read was Do You Come Here Often? by Alexandra Potter. If you are in the mood for a light, casual chick-lit reading, then yes, I would recommend the book. I like a few other books by the same author, especially Me and Mr Darcy. Hehe.. Jane Austen’s influence.
I’ll likely use comment box more than social media. Social media makes one a little too over-exposed, in my opinion.

Oh boy, this is suuuuuuuuuuuuper embarrassing!!! The last book I read was “Memoirs of a Goldfish” and it’s a kid’s book!!! – cos I was reading it to my 3-year old nephew!!! So the truth is I haven’t read an adult book in AGESSSSSS!!! If I have “free” time, I prefer to surf the net or read blogs, and usually I’m too tired at the end of the day to read before I sleep, so the most I’d do is flip some magazines before zzzzzzzz… Would I recommend “Memoirs of a Goldfish”? To kids yes, it’s a really cute story 🙂
I’m not a social media person so I definitely don’t interact there – don’t even really know how to use Facebook, although I do have an account (but was set up cos I wanted to join some contest haha). Am I really such an odd-one-out???? So comment boxes it is, IF I really feel I have/want to say something — like when there’s a chance to win a giveaway??? Honesty is the best policy, R-I-G-H-T?? 🙂

1. The last book I read was Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy by E.L.James. I still on the third book, and I do highly recommend them. I also looking forward for the movie version.
2. I do sometimes comment on the comment box, though I also like to interact by Instagram. I think I will still prefer instagram.

1. Dear Paris, the last book I read was A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. And YES, I’d definitely recommend it. Don’t be afraid by the thickness of the book (I know I was). After watching the television series, I just had to read it! And it’s so good…full of betrayal, treason, etc… I’d also recommend The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It’s a wonderful heartwarming and inspirational novel about African American maids in Jackson, Mississippi (I’m sure you’ve heard of or seen the movie starring Emma Stone!)
2. I usually use the comment box if something interests me! I dunno, I just think it’s more ‘direct’ compared to interacting on social media if that makes sense!

What was the last book you read and do you recommend it?
Language Choices and Discourse of Malaysian Families: Case Studies of Families in KL, Malaysia.
i would recommend this book as it is an interesting read regarding how family members in malaysia interact among themselves 🙂
Are you more likely to interact with us in the comment box of a blog post, or through a social media channel? If you don’t interact, is there a reason why not?
to be completely honest, i don’t interact in comment box or social media channel because i am kinda afraid of being ‘too exposed’ 😛 it’s kinda complicated actually 😛 there are people whom i do not want them to know so much about me to find out what type of products im using, how do i react to the products (by commenting in certain posts) and then they will spin lots of nonsense about it for a reason i cannot think up of.

>>>Well, the last book I read is
Inferno by Dan Brown and I definitely recommend it. I really like
the theme around which the story is centered, and like always, Dan
Brown has managed to keep me hooked on till the end. I have read
all novels written by him. >>>I’m more likely
to interact through a comment box of a blog post, though I have
joined various sites, I’m not into social media yet, because I’m
very serious when it comes to privacy and social media sites
continuously renew their policies and reduce the privacy options. I
have been following you blog for months, but I have to confess this
is the first time I have commented. I’m studying engineering and
its real hard work, managing studies and my own blog. I do check
out my bloglovin’ feed everyday through my phone but its hard to
leave comments using the crappy mobile browser. Many times I’ve
left comments but later they just don’t appear. I wanted to comment
on your other giveaways but due to one reason or the other I just
kept missing them. Thanks for giving so many opportunities though!
<3 🙂 😀

The last book read was The Palace of Illusions, by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. I read it for second time and let me tell you there are very few books that I go on to read for a second time. This book is an interpretation of a Hindu Mythological Epic Mahabharata from a lady’s point of view, who is also the female protagonist of the original story and has always been a significant part of narration but never as a narrator… this is an interesting book for those who are familiar with the original story and not sure if the others will be able to enjoy it, but there is no harm in trying it out!!
Well, for interaction, I would prefer to do it on the blog post; though I have to remember to get back and comment on a post if I am reading on go but most of the time, I prefer to go back to the original post!

1. The last book I read was by Chan Fong, ??-????, a local radio station DJ. I like to listen his talk show especially the one in Friday night from 10pm to 1 am, where he became a counsellor and so counselling. I would recommend the book as it actually expose a lot of problems from the caller, where they face problem and how we suppose to solved it. I do learn a lot from his talk show. A lot of the problem seem to be simple to solved, but we are really in that situation, we tend to become blind and don’t know how to solve a simple problem. The book include family, relationship with friends, couple and work. The only cons is this book is only published in chinese language.
2. Yes. I do leave comment here in blog as I think this is the best way for us to interact and share our thought and experience of a products.

1.The last book that I read was… “Students Guide to Hong Kong Conveyancing”. And I definitely would NOT recommend. I am a law student, that’s why.-V-
2.I never have time for proper comments. I’d love to, but I don’t really know how to make myself comfortable talking to complete strangers, or how to compliment without sounding like I’m trying too hard. I do prefer blog post comments, since it’s easier to find related information and see what other people’s opinions are on the topic.
On a side-note, I still remember the first time you reviewed a Lunasol lipstick here! I was dying to try one and I still am. A poor student’s budget can’t afford it, haha, but I am working towards being able to. 😉

Dear Paris,
The last book I read was POUT perfect. Finding a was through lipstick jungle. By Yishan.
I would recommend this book to those who are unable to select right lipstick for them and moreover I would recommend the book to the people like me who really take time to apply lipstick in a perfect way. Tint of lipstick can make a lot of difference. Sometimes I m gloomy or feeling sad I just apply a bright lipstick n feel fresh, motivated and energetic. How powerful a small colorful bullet is….
I like to use comment box. I just donot write every time. I write when I feel like writing. It may be a compliment or any question or something I want to share..

1. My last book was actually a makeup book – Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful. It includes very practical beauty advice delivered in a very fun way!
2. I seldom comment on blogs post or social media unless i really tried out the product that was being reviewed. Yeah, that said i prefer to comment in blog posts.

I am much more likely to comment on a blog post I love in the comment box.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I am reading Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson. It’s a wonderful tale of growing up in the 50’s. Really, he’s just a great writer.

The last book I read was Don’t You Forget About Me by Alexandra Potter. I am a big fan of hers and have read nearly all her books. I am in a chic lit phase right now hence this book. LOL. I would recommend this book if you want a light read but it is not one of her best books unfortunately. For her better books, I would recommend Do You Come Her Often and Going La La as they are my personal favourites 🙂
I am not much into social media yet since I rarely go on Facebook at home (since my office blocks the site) and I am not on Twitter. I love the pictures you post on Instagram though and I always check that every morning at work after reading your blog. I much prefer commenting on your blog posts because it is easier for me that way plus there is always something interesting on your blog which I cannot help but participate in the comments. Haha.

1. The last book I read was “The Pre-Nup” by Beth Kendrick. I highly recommended this book as as the story shows us a fun way to look at love, marriage & commitment.
2. Both 🙂

The Innocent – by David Baldacci. I have a stock pile of his books (I am old fashioned – I still prefer paperbacks where I can feel every page) which I am going through one by one. I am a bit behind in my reading and have quite of his books to catch up on but The Innocent is one book I would recommend. Good reading – exciting, punchy and you are left wanting more at the end of each chapter. His protagonists tend to be the good old fashioned strong, combat prepared (solitary and sometimes complicated) males. Yum..
I tend to be more inclined to blab away in the reply boxes of your blog here as I am not much of a social media communicator.

1. The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino – loved it so much so that I am trying to look for the Japanese movie that it’s based on
2. I seldom chat with people on social media (office blocks facebook!) and I am naturally a very shy person!

My last book I read is “Tuesday with Morrie”. Yes, I’d like to introduce it to whom wanna get inspired of a man whose passion for the human spirit has continued to live long after his last breath.
I would be more likely to “mingle” around using comment box of a blog post, because I somehow prefer not to expose in social media channel, especially Facebook.
Mel says
The last book that I read was ‘Heaven is for Real’ written by Todd Burpo. I am truly a non-fiction fan that hope those books that I read will truly inspired me throughout my life. This story was all about a little boy,Colton Burpo’s encountered in Heaven when he was diagnosed with an emergency acute appendicitis! What really inspired me here was his innocent descriptions about Heaven and kept reminding us that “Jesus loves the children”.
I would love to interact with a social media channel as I truly believe it is much more interactions between us and the admin. We can also able to view for example videos as soon as we can!

Girl with Dragon Tattoo. Its part of a trilogy but I like the first book the best. Yes I highly recommend it.
I prefer to interact using the comment box because its convenient and the post already sets context of my questions/comment.

I last read ‘French Children Don’t Throw Food’ by Pamela Druckerman. I recommend it because it’s a very useful, witty and tongue-in-cheek “manual” to parenting according to the French — as written by an American living in Paris. The book may be targeted to mothers, but its simple messages on patience and life in general are worth noting.
I prefer commenting on social media so long as the answers are short 🙂 If it’s going to be a long opinion piece, i’d rather post straight to the blog.
