Celebrate October Giveaway No. 5 gives you a treat for the eyes, lips and face with a makeup base, fluttery lashes with mascara and a lovely pout with a lovely lip colour that’s wearable daily. A little bit about my Celebrate October Giveaways for the newbies amongst us. As a matter of principle, I don’t run many giveaways on my blog so I appreciate that those of you who do stop by, find the content interesting and useful and stay for the content. To thank you for your support throughout the year I try to find ways to reward you and these gift packs this year are my way of saying thank you. They all contain at least 1 personal favourite item which regulars will readily identify 😉
So, how do you go about winning this kit for yourself? Hopalong and find out.

1. What was the last book you read and do you recommend it?
Sarah MacLean’s ‘Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart’— would only recommend it if you’re into that sort of books 😛 A bit of a role reversal in the story which made it interesting.
2. Are you more likely to interact with us in the comment box of a blog post, or through a social media channel? If you don’t interact, is there a reason why not?
Social media channel because it’s easier. These days, when I read your blog, I’m usually on the go or in between things so sometimes I don’t get much time to sit and think of a proper comment to leave lol I like how the other social media channels are less ‘formal’.

1. The last book I read was ‘Life of Pi’ and I definitely recommend it! I first fell in love with the story, when I saw the movie. And of course, as good as movies are, the books are always better. So I went ahead and read the book too.
2. I would probably interact more through the blog comments. Though I don’t interact much to begin with. Sometimes I don’t have much to say. Especially with a product I haven’t tried yet. Majority of my comments would just become, ‘Oh very nice, I want to try this!’ which doesn’t add much substance.

Hey Paris,
The last book i read was “Deadlocked”, The Southern Vampire Series #12 by Charlene Harris. You will need to really love the HBO TV series “True Blood” to appreciate the adventure of Sookie Stackhouse. I would not recommend it as the story was getting a bit too blahh and predictable after book 12. Can’t she decide once and for all, to either stick with a vampire or werewolf? haha
I actually prefer to communicate via the blog comment and Instrgram. Twitter’s character limitation is a pain to use. Blog comment allows more detailed sharing and as for instrgram, pics say a thousand words! haha

1) The last book I read was “Da Vinci Code” a while back, shyly. Would totally recommend it as it was filled with a sense of mystery, dream & ideology. It manage to somehow capture a sense of “you-have-to-continue-reading-NOW”. Definitely complemented the movie as well. Loved it.
2) I think social media channel would be easier to interact with. Having said that, I do recognize that it would be easier for you to share product details, contest & etc via blog post just because it gives you the flexibility & space. Nonetheless, I’m pretty sure there are ways to go about this or, synching the two. 🙂

1. Gone Girl. I would recommend it. The author’s writing is brilliant!
2. The comment box, because I don’t really have social media…..

The last book that I read is Best Kept Secret by Jeffrey Archer. I do recommend it as it’s a series of story about the 2 boys from different family background and the secret behind these two families. They had another 2 books which are ‘Only Time Will Tell’ and ‘Sins of the Father’.
I mostly interact through comment box in the blog instead of comment in social media.

1. The last book I read was Neil Gaiman’s “Neverwhere”. Would recommend it for people who are used to Neil’s sort of writing and who like stories about possible parallel worlds existing alongside ours.
2. Prefer to comment on the blog post itself, but only if it’s regarding a product I’ve used before so I can share my experience. And because I usually read the blog between short breaks at work/before I go to bed, I don’t usually make time for comments.

1. I just read Boy Meets Girl by Meg Cabot, because sometimes I’m just a kid at heart. HAHA! Actually, I just wanted to read something relaxing and funny, the fluffier the better. The entire book is made up of emails, memos and diary entries, it’s pretty interesting and I would recommend it if you are one who is open to all formats and genres 😛
2. I would be more likely to interact through the comment box of a blog post, because for some reason, I feel that the environment in this blog is different compared to social media. It is more private (okay this is ironic) in a way? Maybe I should say that I don’t find it as intimidating because I have commented here in previous posts and I feel more comfortable.

The last book I read was a particularly trite YA paranormal romance (titled “Incubus”) and I stopped reading about 50 pages in. Would I recommend it? Definitely not!
I normally use social media (twitter) but I will comment on a blog post that has caught my attention (and when I have something to add)

Thank you paris for yet another awesome opportunity
1.It was The Promise by by Nikita Singh, an Indian author.I don’t like reading romantic novels because i think they are like fairy tales but i still i pick it up for a change. So if you are looking for a no fuss and a fast romantic read go for it. This book does bring out some hidden emotion buried deep down our hearts and its not bad to cry once in a while…. right ???
2.I interact with you both ways but i am more active on facebook because i usually read your post while travelling in metro .Being a student i spend lot of my time in metro and when i am home After seeing your notifications on facebook i head over to your blog to read the whole post and to leave comments
I had fun last time answering the bonus entry question i am wondering why you are not doing this time

I am reading the series of “The Secrets if the Immortal Nicholas Flamel”, now I’m reading half way for the third book “the sorceress”. I always love magics, legends and fairy tales so I would recommend these books to people who share the same interest as me. Ya another “kid at heart” here lol.
Ya. I m more active at fb, so after I saw your post there, I’ll come and read your blog here. Din’t comment much unless I own the product, like to find answers by checking thru other’s experience n opinion.

1. Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the end of the Lane 2 weeks ago. Good read, but some parts made me want to grab my teddy bear for comfort. Still, highly recommended. Gaiman’s a master story teller!
2. I prefer the comment box. Social media can be so intrusive and I am uncomfortable using it. In comment boxes like yours, I can still maintain some anonymity.
The lipstick looks yummy! 🙂

The last book that I read is The Lucky One by Nicholas Spark. I would definitely recommend this book because “The Lucky One” is about Logan Thibault , a US Marine who travels across the country in search of a mysterious woman in a photograph he believes to have been his lucky charm during his service in Iraq. There are a few twists and turns, but overall it’s a straightforward tale and plays out pretty decently. Nicolas Sparks knows how to tell a story. This is a wonderful novel, told in a way that is fascinating and enjoyable.
I prefer comment box of a blog post because its solidifies what i just learned or because i want to share my opinion with the person who wrote the article.

1) The last book I read was the “Battle Hymn of a Tiger Mother”. Would definitely recommend it as it is an entertaining yet thought provoking read of strict parenting mehods which met its default too 😛
2)I would definitely prefer to interact via the comment box of a blog post as it offer some degree of anonymity as opposed to social media. However, I am a silient reader most of the time and I would only comment if my comment would add value or if I have something to ask in regards to the blog post.

1. I read a few books all at once depending on my mood (if I want something easy to read, old favorites, or “ponderworthy”)–so I generally finish two-three at a time. The last combination I read was The Princess Bride (William Goldman) and The Somnambulist (Jonathan Barnes). The former’s a romance fantasy that everyone I know–from teenagers to the more “grown-up”–love because it’s witty, easy to read, and incredibly fun. You really fall in love with all the characters and their quirks! The Somnambulist is a fantasy-horror-thriller type book set in the Victorian Era, enjoyable enough, but a little contrived. It was interesting enough to keep me reading, although the elements and story were a bit disorganized. Of the two, I would definitely recommend The Princess Bride! It’s well-written and entertaining–and you can watch the movie (which is also amazing) after!
2. Honestly, I rarely interact on blogs. I follow a large number of them and use Newsify (which is an RSS reader), which makes it difficult to comment. If at all, I only comment when I ask questions or when I can’t hold my enthusiasm about a certain product back. Twitter makes me very shy, although I do want to respond sometimes, just because of the number of people who’d see my replies.

1. The last book that i read is ‘peace is every step’ . This book is mostly contain meditation and stories from Nhat Hanh’s experiences. Although this book write by a monk, the contain in it did not has any Buddha teaching. It is a good book to read especially you meet with problem or angry.
2. I seldom comment at blog as i do follow lots of blogs so it is impossible for me to comment at all of the blogs and follow up the comment as sometimes blogger may reply my comment. I will comment when it is need or has anything to ask for.

This is one of my favourite book which i come back to time and time again. Thich Nhat Hanh is such an inspiring peace activist and poet. He has this strong, peaceful, beautiful presence in his writing which makes me feel more hopeful, inspired and positive after reading his books.

1) The last book I read was Escape From Camp 14. Very interesting insights about North Korea prison camp from a person who is born inside the prison camp itself. Yes, I do recommend this book so that more people are aware about what’s happening in North Korea and how people are actually being tortured, starved and slaved.
2) I prefer to leave comment on blog post rather than social media channel because I get to see what other’s opinions are. I do comment once a while if the topic is something relevant to me

The last book I read was Outliers by Malcom Gladwell. Have been trying to get into reading more non-fiction books as of lately. Highly recommend this book for an inspiring read.
I rarely leave comments on blogs/social media. I am usually more of the silent reader type unless I find myself being able to contribute to a certain topic then I might leave a comment or two.

1 The last book I read was I have got your number by Sophie Kinselle and YES, I would recommend reading this book if you are in a mood to read some thing that would light your mood and give you a good laugh.
I also read The Zahir by Paulo Coelho and in my opinion IT IS A MUST READ I am not going to give any details on the subject of the book but just like Paulo Coelho’s other books it will be loved by people who want to read something related to spirituality.
2.I am not one of those people who comment regularly on the blog although I do read every post as soon as I see it in my inbox .Sometimes I comment under the post but mostly I comment on your Facebook page .

Last book I read was a chinese book called ???,I read it online and sadly I forgot the author. It was interesting and funny, unlike the name suggested but it isn’t something I would recommend or reread. A fair story when one is bored but not a must read.
I prefer chatting w bloggers in comments so I appreciate when bloggers reply readers comments. .
Really hope to win this! I missed the last one by 10min!!!! Was really kicking myself!!!
