So, how are you doing this bright breezy Monday morning? Nevermind if you’re feeling peaky or blue. Come join in the celebrations here at MWS in the third (count that, 3!) Celebrate October Giveaway!
For the uninitiated (in which case, maybe you are missing out on lots more than just this giveaway series) the Celebrate October Giveaway series celebrates… October. We all have a favourite month, mine is October. All prize packs are sponsored by me, moi and I by way of a thank you for all your support through the year and years; and they will contain at least 1 personal favourite item.
This 3rd one is a beaut and a celebration of some good high end and low end makeup! We kicked off with makeup, we had some hair and body treats and now, we’re back to makeup and… the famed Bioderma Micellar Cleansing Water! We don’t have it here in Malaysia yet 🙂 I will note however, that I will not send it overseas. So, while this giveaway is open worldwide, if you win and you reside outside of Malaysia, the Bioderma will be omitted from the prize pack as it will cost too much and it is far too liquid to transport. Deal? Ok, here we go!
Celebrate October Giveaway #3: Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Cleansing Water travel size 100ml (read my review), Laura Mercier Foundation Primer 14.7ml, L’Oreal Shine Caresse liquid lipstick in Faye, Chanel Illusion d’Ombre 85 Mirifique (Sparkly black).
There are 2 things to note in this prize pack:
- If this prize pack is sent overseas, the Bioderma cleansing water will NOT be included.
- In the process of photographing this set, my finger accidentally grazed the surface of the brand new Chanel shadow, where I have indicated in the photo below. It was inadvertent but I had to point it out.
For a chance to win this set, here’s what you have to do (and it does not involve you selling your kidney)
Leave a comment below and tell us the following:-
- If I were visiting you in your town or city, where is the first place you’d take me when I arrive? AND
- Do you use the navigation bar at the top of this page (About, Budget Beauty etc) and do you find it useful?
- Bonus entry (optional): A question will be popping up on Instagram so answer it there for a bonus entry. You’ll know it when you see it, so follow the instructions there! (Not necessary to post it here but it is additional to No. 1 and 2)
Please feel free to share the news of this giveaway with your friends.
Some things to take note are:-
- Deadline for entries will be 12noon 10 October 2013 (+8GMT). Winners will be picked at the end of the October from the comments received, and announced on my social media channels and notified by email.
- This one is open worldwide (but the Bioderma item will not be shipped outside of Malaysia).
- If new, here are the general terms and conditions applicable to all giveaways on MWS.
Have fun and good luck!

WINNER: LISA Winner will be contacted by email
1. I will bring you to Tiong Bahru Estate for a quirky mix of international cuisine, old school food finds and coffee. A plenty to discover as shops are popping up and up in this district.
2. I think i’ve only used it twice. So, no. I don’t find it useful most of the time.
I live in jb, but if you do drop by… Hmm, what’s there in jb?… I will bring you to singapore. Deal.
Since I have just moved back to Malaysia I’m not quite sure what is the latest “happening” spot around kl/pj now. However….if you were to visit NYC which was my last residency for the past year I would bring you to Sephora in Times Square! It has the widest range of makeup I have ever seen and best place for a little pick me up 😉
Hi, How wonderful it would be to have you visit here! The first
place that I would take you is our historical museum…
Also, I do use your navigation bar, because it is very helpful
to me!
Many thanks, Cindi
Thanks for the giveaway !
First, I would take you to the citadel of my town. It’s located on a hill and the view from there is amazing !
I used the bar at the top, when I first arrived on your blog because I didn’t want to miss any interessant post ! 🙂 Now that I read you everyday, I rarely use it.
1) I’d take you to Sg Chua, Kajang to try the famous spicy/pepper soup (lat tong). Kajang is not all about satay!
2) I don’t use the mws navigation bar much as it requires scrolling to the top most of the page. But it is useful to glance at what other topics you write about other than makeup.
1. It would be the local spa where you just spent 10 bucks for a facial
2. the navigation bar does help. I pay more attention on your skincare part 🙂
Hi Paris,
If you come to Keningau, Sabah the first place I’d bring you to is my work place, Sento Hotel. You can freshen up and have a delicious meal at our Roof Top Garden restaurant while enjoying a spectacular view of the whole town.
I am a relatively new reader of your blog and have yet to use the navigation bar.
Probably New York City to see the sights i.e Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, 5th Avenue for shopping!, and Union Square for shopping and people watching!
Yes! all the time! I use it to click around and explore when I’m bored and when i’m specifically searching for product reviews or tips
Thanks for the giveaways! this is awesome!
1. My house so that you could shower.
2. Not really, since I tend to just read your posts.
I live in Santa Barbara, California, with some of the most beautiful views in America….so I would bring you us into the hills, so you could see miles of the California coast and Pacific Ocean. Then down to the harbor for delicious seafood straight out of the water 🙂
And I don’t tend to use the nav bar at the top of the page. I just browse.
1. Martha Tilaar Spa, it is the best spa in town. They use traditional herbs but the place is very clean and sophisticated. You’ll feel so pampered there. I promise you.
2. Yes. It makes things easier to find, when I want to find something specific.
(1) Coffee / tea by Chao Praya River in The Mandarin Oriental Hotel – first hotel in Thailand built in 1879 (I looked up the exact year). :p
(2) Yes, but rarely. I like to use the search box more. :p
1. Ah Shun Bak Kut Teh as i am a food lover and JBer! Try the different of KL style and JB style bak kut teh!~
2. I do. Especially when i want to recall some info i read before from the site.
The first place that I ll be bringing you to will be Boracay, Philippines to seen and experience the white beaches we have. We can also eat seafoods their and fresh fruits that Philippines exports to other countries.
I always use the navigation bar because it helps me alot. It helps me to look for other interesting topics and I spend my each day just to backread all your posts.
This giveaways is awesome.
1 If you came to my home town (Palermo -Italy) I’ll bring you at the “Palazzo dei Normanni” ( Palace of the Normans).
If you came to the town I live now (Pavia) I’ll bring you to the University 🙂
1) If you are not tired after touching down Penang (my city), i will bring you to the famous Laksa at Bayan Baru (which is also a franchise of the Penang road laksa). Why not Penang Road? That is because Bayan Baru is nearer to the Penang Airport (if you come via plane) or Penang Bridge (if you drive to Penang) so that you wont be too tired to eat and save your traveling time. Or, if you are not a laksa person, perhaps you would like to try the famous Prawn Noodles (penang hokkien mee) which is also nearby. Then we will be heading for my favorite rojak place which is about 10 minutes away, how about that?
2) I am using the budget beauty navigation bar alot because i know i can find some budgeted product with just one click.
1- I would take you to see the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona because it is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see.
2- Yes, I find it useful when I want to find things
It would be Petaling street in Kuala Lumpur.I suppose you’re quite familiar with that place, since you are KL-ian as well. 🙂 I will bring you go cari makan!ex: Assam Laksa, famous mixed rice, Hainam chicken rice and the well-known herbal tea! *mouth watering*
Yes. But, I seldom use it as searching. I will go to “google custom search” in the right side for my search.
I would borrow a member’s card and take you for dinner at the Petronas Twin Towers (so so food but great ambience) and stroll on the Skybridge which is on the 41st/42nd floor of the Twin Towers to have a great night view of KL. It’s really amazing and a bit scary too, for fraidy cats like me. It’s sad that locals don’t appreciate what overseas visitors travel thousands of miles for.
I have not used the navigation bar before and to-date just use the “search” function to look for what I want.
