Insta-Updates: Packaging to bring out the animal in you

June 20, 2012 Paris B 16 Comments

I received some interesting bath and body products from online store HoneyCat Cosmetics during the week but what really made me pause and give a little gasp of delight was the pretty leopard print paper used in the packaging.

Do you like animal prints? I’m in the market for something printed myself and would love to know if you can help point me in the direction of where to start looking 🙂

I’m really late to the party but I am starting to appreciate some touches of animal prints. I’m actually on the look out for a light leopard/cheetah/tiger/zebra print scarf. Or even a light weave loose animal print cardigan. I don’t want anything too solid.

Incidentally, Dior’s offering for Fall 2012 Golden Jungle, features animal prints too – see pictures on Rouge Deluxe and A Touch of Blusher. Not sure just how I feel about it yet.

Does anyone know where I can start looking for an animal print scarf or cardi? 🙂

i love leopard / cheetah / zebra prints but my sister said i look either extremely old or too wild in animal prints…T.T
hence i compensate by gaping at ladies with animal prints in the mall……………

Hahaha I’m sure you don’t! Use it as an accent. I’m not for it in clothes myself unless I can find a sheer cardigan. You can always wear animal print in a belt, shoes, hair and etc 🙂

Big fan of leopard print here. BIG. My clothes are boring black most of the time, so this pop of print helps. I’ll usually be in a black top, dark jeans and a pair of leopard print flats with gold hardware (must have the mor-mor (faux fur) :P). When it’s cold, then it’s my black coat, jeans and a leopard print scarf.

I’m looking to get a leopard print bag next. Won’t wear all shoes, scarf and bag together, of course 😛

Hahaha it would be a riot if you did wear them all together 😛 I like seeing that pop of animal print on an all black outfit, and what’s animal print shoes without mor mor?! 😀 still looking for my elusive scarf 🙁

Oh I adore animal prints! I used to have a leopard print wallet but it earned a lot of not very nice comments from my colleagues as we’re supposed to be in a professional “outfit” in whatever that we use…I was also tempted to buy Crocs in animal prints but felt too self concious after remembering my colleagues’ comments. But animal prints is cool 🙂 Clothes in animal prints are quite seasonal or trend magnet – wait for it to make another round of fashion wave ok!

Oh hey, boo to your colleagues for not approving of your leopard print wallet! Being corporate sucks (which is why I could never survive in a serious corporate environment!) I have a bad habit of catching on to fashion when its out. Tells you a lot huh? Lol

I used to like it back in my “punk” days as a teenager, now it seems tacky to me. I held off buying a Z palette because I wasn’t too ecstatic about the color options, though I know a lot of people were raving about the animal print. Etsy has a lot of handmade leopard print stuff but a sure bet would be any rockabilly store (or online rocko) for the cardi etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like it in small doses on black, never any other way so I don’t look too tacky 😉

I do too, but it’s proving almost impossible to find any good non tacky ones locally 😛
