Insta-Updates: New face bases from ZA Cosmetics

June 28, 2012 Paris B 16 Comments

Just a quickie. Here are 2 new face bases from ZA Cosmetics. I’d been reading lots of good things about both the ZA BB Cream and the ZA True White liquid foundation and they have just appeared on our shores! 😀

I haven’t had the chance to give them a go yet, but if you have, please share what you think of it. I am quite up beat because a) I like Japanese base makeup, b) Its by Shiseido and so I have higher expectations of it, even though its a pharmacy brand and c) There are so many raves about both products online!

Full reviews will come once I’ve had a chance to open them 😉

ooh, by Shiseido? I want to try this brand! I literally just got into BB creams (I resisted for so long because I thought they were just overhyped tinted moisturizers) so I feel like a kid in a candy store now with all these new ones coming out over here!

Ahh Becca, you’re coming into BB creams at the right time LOL! There are so many types and brands available, both from Asia and the Western brands so you’re pretty much spoilt for choice! I personally don’t go for the Korean brands but so far, the Western and Japanese brands work well for me even if they may not be the conventional BB cream 🙂

Hi Kerry, you can find ZA in Sasa stores or at the larger Guardian and Watson’s pharmacies. Enjoy your visit!

I have this foundation. It’s not bad but it’s not wonderful. My ‘wonderful’ drugstore foundation which i’ve discovered recently is the Bourjois Flower Perfection Liquid Foundation. With this, i can omit the loose powder, yet don’t look dewy nor dry. It’s perfect. Gives me the perfect amount of coverage (not light nor heavy) and best of all, my pores seems to disappear. And it last the whole day for my skin type. Yes, no streaky melt down in the ever hot, humid non-aircon weather. Perhaps oil a bit but no major problem. I am so in love that i think i need to try out the rest of the Bourjois liquid foundations (Healthy Mix Serum and 123 Perfect) too!

Thanks for the input, Lisa! I love the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum so I hope you’ll like that too. A friend let me try some Flower Perfection and I can’t quite recall if I loved it but I do know that it seemed to work well. I have to check it out when I go to Singapore next! Wish we’d get Bourjois here 😛

I’ve been waiting for the ZA True White to reach Malaysia. The color range looks pretty good for Asian skin tones from what I see online.

I’ve read quite a lot of good reviews on it too! However, I’m a little concerned because the shades are mostly yellow toned with just 1 pink toned one (which is mine) so I hope that works else it’d be a write off!

I swatched it at my local Watsons. It’s kinda sheer and has micro shimmer in it. I’d think perfect for those with already quite nice skin.

Hmm… I haven’t given the foundation a go yet but I hope it’d work for me since I don’t have nice skin to start! >.<

I am quite interested in the BB cream but it says Total Hydration. Not sure if the formula will cause my face to be an oil slick though. Excited over your upcoming review 🙂

In testing mode for now 🙂 Just as a preliminary observation, the BB Cream has the thick texture associated with most Korean BB creams but it wasn’t too oily. Will give it a while more 🙂

Watsons’ has a promo where you can get a free ZA deep cleansing oil with purchase of the True White foundie. It’s in a duo pack. The foundie is also sold separately at the same price.
