Alright, fact is, I sort of miss posting on Saturdays 😀 But I decided it will not be all about beauty all the time because a whole week of it is more than enough for you to go through at your leisure 🙂 Instead, I’ll TRY to do a weekly post on something good or interesting that I ate in the week. If food isn’t your thing, sorry but its mine 😛 Or I might just post something random but scrumptious. Basically, Saturday is for me 🙂

Here’s something I really enjoy and a stall I’ve been frequenting for lunch since I was introduced to it – the Woo Pin Cheras Flats Fish Head Noodles.
I enjoy the sourish soup with the fragrance of chinese wine which I also add liberally to the dish when its served. Its delicious, and I highly recommend trying it if you enjoy eating fish noodles. I wish I could let you smell how delicious it is – someone needs to invent a computer that allows smells darnit – it’ll make it easier to describe perfumes for one! 😀
If you have your favourite fish head noodle stall, do share where it is. I’ve gone to a few, but this one still gets my return business every time. Have you been there?
Happy weekend, everyone!
Paris B
Scrumptious Saturdays is a once a week indulgence of my other passion – food! There may be some healthy recipes featured or some good food I ate that I think is worth sharing.
I knew I shouldn’t have clicked this link, when I am hungry! Grrr
*tummy rumble* 😀
Yummy! I haven’t had breakfast yet. That gives me an idea! There’s a really good fish head noodle where I live. Well, we have really good food here. If you’re in town, gimme a buzz. I’ll show you where to eat!
I might just take you up on that some time! I never know where to eat the good food in Ipoh 😀
just had breakfast! now looking at ur post making me wanting to have it for lunch! 😛 greedy silly me haha
Never silly, maybe greedy LOL! 😀
OMG! I need this NAO! Thanks for sharing!
Haha its absolutely delish! If you’re ever in town and game to give it a go, you know where to find me! 😉
Looks YUM!! Will check it out!! 😀
Do! Its delish 😀
man……..i need to make a trip back to KK….it’s been too many years
Do they make good fish head noodles in KK too? I”ve never been there 😀
oh i haven’t been back to m’sia for years now. i think i had it once and it was good. usually when i go back, i just get my “ngiu chap” fix because i can’t find it in canada unless i beg my mom to make it.
I googled “ngiu chap” and its beef noodles? Oh my! I so want to have that now 😛
Mmmm, yummy! I love food and I love food posts! I was also thinking about doing a weekend foody something (hey, great minds) since my other food blog is sorta dead. Yay to more food!
Welcome back to Saturday postings 🙂 I must admit I miss reading you even if it’s just one day.
You’re too sweet Lyn and yay for great minds thinking alike! 😀 As for food photos, let’s do IT! 😀 After all, we love our food about as much as we love our makeup so why not eh? there’s beauty in good food too and it helps me keep my food blog alive hehe…
I’ve been to the other Woo Pin outlets (Taman Desa and Publika) but I’ve not been to the original shop. I wonder if there would be a difference?
I like the fish head noodle at Damansara Kim. it’s less ‘fishy’ smelling. That picture is making me hungry 🙂
I went to the new Woo Pin outlet in Kenanga Wholesale Centre (7th floor food court) and it didn’t taste the same. It didn’t have the same oomph! and the fish pieces were smaller and less meaty and it was more expensive. Where in Damansara Kim is this fish head noodle? I don’t do fishy smells well too which is probably why I like the Woo Pin one because there’s no smell! 😀
The Damansara Kim shop is opposite Super Tanker. They only do only fish head noodle I believe.
Hmm.. must make my way to Cheras one day to give the original outlet a go.
Oho! I think I know the one then! I’m going to have to give it a go and yes, make a trip one day to see if the Woo Pin in Cheras is better than its branches 😀
Yes! Chinese wine in FHN ftw! There’s one over in Seri Petaling that is superb as well. It’s just one stall in an end-lot coffeeshop, but it beats any I’ve eaten, even the so-called famous one that’s it’s own twin shop lot a few doors down.
I see one thing your bowl is lacking though.. how can no milk! Must add milk! Gah craving d now T.T
I’m going to have to hunt down that Seri Petaling one – never been to that part of the world, though I keep hearing about good food being found there too 😀 I don’t like the milk in my noodles but this stall does it with milk too – the link to the food blog shows another bowl with milk added and its nice and well rounded in flavour. I prefer the clearer flavour of plain soup 🙂
This is the place I was referring to:
Golden Chopstick Restaurant
Jalan 1/149J,
Sri Petaling,
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
It’s a few doors down from Man Fu Ent. If you prefer the milk-less version (eee hwaiiii~~~ my mom also prefers that version =/) you can opt for that too 🙂
AWESOME!! Thank you so much – I’ll be sure to go and try it out one day 😀
Love seeing food on your blog. 🙂 I really admire you for your regularity in posting and can only aspire to it! 😉 Happy weekend, Paris.
You are too sweet Mag and thank you! I’m glad the food isn’t putting anyone off LOL! 😀 I admire your dedication too, what with little ones to care for, which I’m sure takes up most of your time. *hats off*!
I love food too – baking is more my thing (when I can get a space in the kitchen! My mum is always in there!). I’ve heading over straight away to read the whole article 🙂
I tried to bake once, Sam and I was so bad at it because I’m bad at following instructions and you’d know best of all that in baking you do need to be quite exact about the quantity of ingredients used. It maybe also because I don’t eat a lot of sweet foods but now I think about it, I’m craving a good pasta bake 😀
i never fancy fish, but the fish noodle look so yum! and i just had dinner! hahahah *tummy rumbles*
Ooh I should post a warning next time eh? Don’t view on an empty (or full) stomach 😀
I absolutely love FHN, especially those with Chinese wine! My top 2 favourite is the SS20 Damansara Kim fish head noodles (but the prices keep increasing 🙁 ) and Soon Lei in Kuchai Lama (same row as Goon Wah fish head noodles). Goon Wah is also pretty good, but Soon Lei is slightly more power with the wine.
Woo Pin is a bit flat for my taste. I like my FHN strong but I know that could be a turn-off for some people.
Whee! I’m going to give the Damansara Kim one a try soon since a couple of you have mentioned it 😀 As for Soon Lei in Kuchai Lama, its not the one that is super packed is it? I went to one at a corner shop that was super packed but I can’t remember the name now 😛
That just looks SO good!
Tastes just as good, I promise 😉
