Puffy Eyes Begone! The New Esmeria Organics Eye Gel Does A Fine Job

November 17, 2011 Paris B 23 Comments

Sometimes when I read these claims by cosmetics companies that say “80% of women experienced lifting effects on their skin” and I wonder to myself. Who on earth are these 80% of women?? Me, as it turns out LOL! I found out how recently when I was invited to try the new Esmeria Organics Ultimate 5-effect Eye Gel… in a lab test form! 😀

For some reason, I was unnaturally thrilled to be handed a plain white tube with a working name on it instead of an actual product. Little things like this thrill me 😛 It is also very useful that Esmeria Organics is a certified organic homegrown brand and so access to the brand is much easier than it was say, based in Europe.

The product I received was already almost ready to be marketed so it wasn’t like I was a real guinea pig or anything like that. This was about 2 months ago or so. And now, the eye gel is available in the market in 2 formula – the Ultimate 5-effect eye gel for all skin types and the Ultimate 5-Repair Eye Gel for mature skin, depending on your concerns.Like all Esmeria Organics products, this one is certified organic by Ecocert and isn’t tested on animals.

They come in rather elegant box packaging and does look classy and pricey. But they aren’t pricey – that’s the beauty of it. Being local helps keeps costs down of course.

But I know you’re wondering if this eye gel works well, and I’m pleased to tell you that I do think this eye gel very good for puffy eyes. Not to cause them, but to reduce the appearance of puffy eyes.

The texture is that of a clear gel and it comes in a 15ml tube. In my lab test version, the texture was a little runny so that was part of my feedback on the product and I’m happy to note that in the version available for purchase, the texture has been firmed up so the gel doesn’t run all over the place. Its still a little liquid, not hard like jelly.

Being a gel, this product absorbs into the skin very easily. What I do is squeeze out a little dollop on my ring finger, rub 2 ring fingers together and then dab it around my eye area. On contact with my skin, the gel seems to take on a liquid consistency and before you know it, its been absorbed into your skin. The skin around my eyes takes on a lovely silky feel too.

There is a scent which isn’t unpleasant and I don’t know how this one works for dark circles, but it works very well to de-puff my puffy eyes. I apply it at night and by morning its significantly less puffy. With regular use, it seems to help keep puffy eyes at bay.  The working name was “anti-puffiness eye gel” and I do think that really, that is the most significant thing I noticed, together with skin that feels smoother and looks better.

The 5 effects this eye gel addresses are to reduce puffy eyelids, reduce eye bags, reduce dark circles, reduce wrinkles and improve on skin firmness. I noticed 2 out of 5. Not bad eh? 😛

You can use it day and night and because its a gel that absorbs easily, it doesn’t make the eye area oily so makeup doesn’t slide. The packaging is quite utilitarian and compact.

The key ingredients are Brazilian Ginseng (circulation, healing and anti-inflammatory), Marapuama (antioxidant) and White Lily (anti carcinogenic and anti-fungal) and they are certified organic.

Here is the full ingredient list of the Ultimate 5-effect Eye Gel for all skin types.

In an nutshell

An affordable eye gel that is very light in texture and absorbs very easily into the skin without an oily residue. I noticed smoother firmer skin after using this, as well as a reduction in puffy eye lids. I do not know how effective it is for those who have bad eye bags or dark eye circles which this is also intended to address. This being a certified organic product, it might appeal to those who wish to have a natural and organic alternative to regular counter brands of eye creams and eye gels. Like all skincare, long term use will yield better results.

Pros: Affordable, Light gel texture absorbs easily and feels very comfortable on the skin, With regular daily use skin around the eyes looks smoother and firmer, Helps reduce puffy eyelids

Cons: product is a little hard to control coming out of the tube, Products aren’t easy to find in the market

If you find that eye creams give you oil seeds, its always worth giving a gel formula a go instead. Gels tend to be lighter and less oily. This one absorbs very quickly into the skin and feels nice. I will be honest. I do not have a lot of eye concerns. Its not like I have a bad case of lines, dark circles or eye bags. Good sleeping habits usually cure most of that for me … as does not smiling. KIDDING! 😛

So if everything else has failed you and you’d like to try something else, I think you could do worse than try the Esmeria Organics ones – and if you do, I’d love to hear what you think of it or if it helped your eye concerns 🙂

Puffy eyes are a major concern for me, since I have single-eyelids that look small enough. Love it when you do reviews on affordable products that actually work (like the Hyperbole liner).. I’m a student and really appreciate it! <3

Ooooh! I was wondering if you were given the plainly-packaged tube as the “control” product. Things like THIS excite me. I’m glad to hear it worked for you 🙂 At least now I know the 80% women is not just some figure they plucked out of thin air.

LOL no, no control product. I think the control would have been me not using any eye cream prior to this. I’m remarkably lazy when it comes to eye care 😛

I’m quite curious about this brand. But don’t really have issues with puffy eyes. Have yet to try the other products from your party pack, but will do so soon!

I think its a nice inexpensive certified organic brand so it would appeal to those who like that 😉 The trial pack is a good way to try it – hope you’ll like it! I like the toner – I sometimes soak cotton pads and use it as a mask 😀

Wow, a Made in Malaysia skincare product! Is it a rarity or have I just been living under a rock? The packaging is so cute!

The 5 Repair gel is supposed to reduce deep wrinkles, firm skin around the eyes, prevent dryness, protect DNA and with deep healing properties. So says the blurb here 😉

So intriguing and so timely!! My beautician just told me last week that my eyes are looking really tired (no thanks to late working nights!) and I’ve been pondering on using an eye cream. Given the so-affordable price and the fact that my last trial with Esmeria was pretty good (cleanser) I will definitely keep a look out for this product. 🙂

OH MY GOSH! This is a fairly recent post! I keep thinking how much I’ve missed for 1 year of not blogging.

I swear that Esmeria works! I super swear by it cos I am still on the Esmeria Wrinkle Eye Serum. And I am thinking how and when to go back to M’sia to when I need restock. Plus, I want to try their other products. =((( I’ve only got the eye serum and the body moisturiser that if I am not wrong, was on your blog too.

How can I ask them to come to Singapore? haha.

(But prices are going to be bad over here. =( I agree with you that Esmeria is a highly afforded certified organic brand.)

Esmeria may be headed to Singapore – at least I think so 😉 Else there’s JB! 😀 I think they are a great little brand and for organic products, you can’t get anything much more affordable 😀

5-Effect is for all skin types while 5-Repair is for matured skin so I’m guessing for more damaged skin?

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
