Ladies!

I’m so excited! This is a little project I’ve been working on in the past month with the help of some very very dear friends, and I’m excited to be able to finally tell you about it 😀

Inspired by the ladies at Beaut.ie, I decided quite arbitrarily that it was time we have our own Readers’ Choice Awards. Who best to decide on what’s best in the world of beauty, than all you lovely readers who I know, know what you’re talking about 🙂 If you’ve been around here long enough, you would 😉

I present you the My Women Stuff Readers’ Choice Awards 2011!

More details follow below but just very quickly, this is a beauty awards by YOU. YOU nominate your favourite beauty brands and products and then YOU vote for your favourites. I have no say in deciding who gets shortlisted or who wins. Not even the brands have a say – its all down to YOU 😀

Here is a quick run down on the mechanics and start dates and *drumroll* an Awards Party! 😀

Stage 1 – Reader’s Choice Awards Nominations

The nomination form goes live right here on 19 September 2011 for a week. I’ve only listed 25 categories this year. If its a success, let’s see what else we can include next year 🙂 Fill in your favourite brand or products. Once the deadline is closed, we’ll shortlist the candidates to the Top 5 brands and products nominated in each category and then put it to vote. I think we’re going to have to see a LOT of nominations before a product or brand will rise to the top so if you want your favourite brand or product honoured, be sure to get your friends to send in their nominations too 🙂

Stage 2 – Reader’s Choice Awards Voting

Once we have the Top 5 in each category, we’ll open up the Voting Form and you can vote, vote, vote! The brand or product with the highest number of votes in each category wins. Its all straightforward. So again, if you want your brand or product to win, get voting! Every vote makes a difference 😉

Nomination and voting is open to everyone everywhere, anywhere in the world.

Winner announcement and PARTY!

As with the ladies at Beaut.ie, I thought it would be fun to have an MWS party where the results of the Reader’s Choice Awards will be announced and it’ll be a chance to meet up and hang out. I’ll upload it up on the blog too of course. But there is going to be a physical party at a date and venue to be scheduled and I will have spots open for readers who will like to attend for an afternoon of nibbles, chatter and (hopefully confirmed!) door gifts 🙂 I hope this is something you’d like to participate in as its the first time we’re having something like this 😀

As of now, its only going to be a small do as its self-funded so I hope you’ll understand if I cannot host every single one of you, although I’d love to. Naturally, if someone wants to sponsor the event, we could have more attendees… just sayin’ teehee… 😉
