Has anyone tried anything from Clinelle? I’d noticed this brand of skincare, with its relatively wide range of products in the pharmacies (drugstores to those used to the American slant of things 😉 ) but I’d never really tried anything from it. I kept meaning to though, but things kept getting in the way 😛 One of the newest items they have in their skincare range is the Clinelle Brightening Serum.
This is a face serum, formulated with daisy extract for skin lightening and Melaslow agent to moisturise the skin and to improve a dull complexion. It also contains a unique Envinix system to repair and refine the skin and their tests reported a good percentage of skin improvement for those with acne scars or pigmentation that need lightening.
It does feel light on the skin, although to be fair, I have not used this one. Only tested it on the back of my hand at the product launch. No, the back of my hand does not need lightening either 😛
The texture is a light gel and absorbs into the skin quite quickly so the skin feels hydrated. So whilst this serum has, as its primary target, skin brightening, it also helps hydrate the skin. I just liked this picture a lot so its here 😛 I thought it looked very artsy 😀
Clinelle products, like many products these days, have no artificial fragrance, artifical colouring, comedogenic ingredients, mineral oil, sd alcohol, or lanolin. Kudos to them for taking note of people with sensitive skin 🙂 I’m not sure though if there’s silicone in there if you’re sensitive so do check.
Might you have tried something from Clinelle that you’d like to share? Or perhaps you’ve already tried this Brightening Serum which has been available in the market for a couple of months now. Do share if you have! 🙂

Those ARE really nice pics PB! Haven’t tried this serum, but I’m using the Caring Milk Cleanser from this brand and it’s pretty good. I use it only in the mornings since it’s maybe not strong enough to get rid of my oiliness in the evenings. I love their natural scents and all natural ingredients. I was told that it comes from the same factory as Dermalogica…so their ingredients are quite similar? Don’t know how true it is, maybe you can confirm this info? I came upon this brand when I was looking for a more economical option to replace Dermalogica. 🙂
ParisB says
Thank you Monstro! Coming from you and your artistic eye, I am most gratified 😀 I came across some people talking about how this was related to Dermalogica but I couldn’t find any hard proof. The only thing I can say is that the local distributors bring in Clinelle and Dermalogica, so that’s the only link I made, not the factory bit.

Haven’t tried this brand before but have definitely seen it in pharmacies. I’m also interested to know what users think!

Hope you got some ideas 🙂 Quite a few readers have had some good things to say about the brand and products, and even I am now a little curious! 😀

I’ve tried Clinelle’s eye cream years ago. Nothing much to shout about though, but it does have a nice cooling feeling. Priced at a reasonable range too, if I remember correctly.

Eye creams… I can never really find one that does everything it claims to do! 😛

Just yesterday I was contemplating getting Clinelle’s sunscreen but I thought of checking out reviews first. My youngest sis uses a few of their products and she’s quite happy with them. I’m on the lookout for lightening serums because I need something to help even out my skin tone after a recent bout of breakouts that left some darkened spots on my face 🙁 So this Clinelle product does seem interesting. I’m now using Vichy’s Bi-White something and it’s okay.

i used their tinted sunscreen – absolutely loved it. not bad but i remember that the SPF was a bit low.
ParisB says
Vichy is pretty decent I feel. Quite a few products out now to counter uneven skintone – I usually go for Clinique Derma White Clinical essence but now with this one, and the new Estee Lauder Idealist Even Tone Illuminator and the new Lancome Visionnaire Skin Corrector that all promise the same thing, its getting harder and harder to choose!
Lily says
I was using Shiseido’s White Lucent serum which worked wonders but now using Estee Lauder Idealist – less pricey and works well too. Lancome broke me out 🙁

I use their SPF 28 sunscreen and it’s wonderful. Only one that does not sting or burn when sweating in the sun. Hope they never discontinue this.

I’ve used Clinelle for 2 years straight until it was discontinued in the Philippines this year.T_T I love the deep cleansing gel, purifying toner and Snow white mask. The eye cream really moisturizes but won’t lighten those dark circles. The face scrub is so-so.Now im on the look out for a new cleanser.Sob

Thank you for sharing Karla!

I’ve tried their snow white mask when clinelle first came out here! Got two tubes free from hitz.fm or something. Back then I wasnt into skincare n stuff so cant say whether it’s good or not. All I know is that it didnt give me any breakouts. Kudos to them cuz they dont add any of those extra stuff that we dont need 🙂

Thank you for sharing Yuki!

*Ahem* Maybe I can give some personal comments and review on the few items I have tried for this product series. But I have not tried the Brightening Serum.
The name makes me thinks of Clinique all the time, and I tried quite a few coz I think they are budgeted skin care series that at least work for me.
Deep Cleanser: so so for me, maybe i prefer other cleanser which i like feels “cleaner”. The sounds of name deep cleanser should be like purifying but its just ordinary cleanser for an oily skin like me. Rating 3/5.
Eye & Lip Makeup Remover: I like this for reason it doesnt feels greasy. But I personally think it doesnt remove the makeup effectively. It is more suitable for light makeup remover. Rating 3/5.
Milk Cleanser: Thought I can use it as a make-up remover, but to me it was not meant for the use. Recommended for dry skin/sensitive skin but not for oily skin. The effect is too nourishing for me, I had to giveaway to my mom. I cant rate this coz I think it is not meant for my skin type.
Purifying toner: I love this and repurchase second bottle after finishing the first one. I love it the fact it really works like how it was name. You can see the brownish mark on the cotton pad if u did not clean your face well. And I don’t know about other users, but it carry fainted scent like “Coca Cola”?? Yea I know it sounds weird but it is to me!!! I no longer using it now becoz I find myself no longer required purifying toner. But I would recommend for those who needs it. Rating 5/5.
Soothing Skin Toner: I like this for hydrating purposes. Becoz I sleep in air conditioned room, I used this not only for my face, but I use it for hands and legs which is exposed to the cold air. And it works for me. But the spray applicator control is too much on the face but it is great for wider area like parts of body. Rating 4/5.
Eyes Bright: Doesn’t shows any effect. Was it becoz I dont have dark circle I do not know..I just used it til it emptied. Didnt know if it actually helps to prevent/reduce wrinkles. But definitely not a repurchase item. Rating 1/5.
Blemish Conceal & Clear Stick: Quite impressive product to me, as I find it is convenience for travelling purposes. Purpose also like how it is name, just like a concealer. The packaging also make its hygienic for application and the tip is like other automated eye liner size. But one disadvantage to note, only twist 1-2 times for each application. Bcoz when you over twist it, you can never retreat back the concealer and you may not be able to put back the cover (but I am not sure if they have improved this in their new packaging). It comes in a shade only, but personally I think the shade suits me or most Asian skin. A repurchase item for me. Rating:5/5
Blemish Clear: Of all, this is my top pick of this skin care range. It is to reduce the redness and to prevent an early stage of acne to get worse. It contains salicylic acid and tea tree oil which I think that make its works great for me. Definitely a repurchase and always keep in stock stand by. Rating 5/5.

Wow! Thank you so much Pearl! You now have me wondering about the products you have raved about – it looks like their acne range does better than the regular products 😀
Pearl says
No worried PB! Just so happened I have tried quite a numbers of products from this range. Hope readers found the info useful and at least I found a channel to give my personal opinion on products I’ve tried.
ParisB says
I’m sure many will find it useful – its a brand we don’t read about often so its useful to know what works 🙂

Hi,
I have tried most of clinelle products and am now a loyal customer of their moisturiser and serum.
I have used:
1. Moisture Glow
Is a daily moisturiser. I love the lavender smell in it. After does one week of usage, you will notice significant radiance to your face. For record, I’m on third tube now. I would highly recommend this.
2. Intense Skin Moisturizer
I think this works the same as moisture glow, but with more hydrated texture.
3. Moisture Booster
Is a serum. I am dry combination type, however, I do not find any effect on my skin after using this.
4. Dermocapsule Gold Age Control Serum
My mum is currently using this, her 3rd bottle too. It has been said gold concentrates help aging, firm the skin. I did notice my mum’s face is much firmer and radiance. I used it for night sometimes, and wake up to a radianted face in the morning. Highly recommend this.

Thank you too Cayn! I love how helpful everyone is! 😀
Stephy says
I have tried some…
1. Soothing skin toner – I dont like this as it gave me a feeling of oiliness on my face
2. Moisture booster – I like this the most, helps me when my skin is very dry
3 scrub – I only feel so so about this
4. sunscreen – overall, i feel ok but the SPF is only 28
And my sis tried on their acne ranger and she loves the cleanser and toner! Reduced the pimples on her face!
Well, I may check out the brightening serum too!
ParisB says
Thanks Stephy! It does appear from the comments that the acne range seems to do better than the other products. Maybe that’s their strength 🙂
Stephanie/Yukaeshi says
Ah Clinelle 😀 It was my first “real” skincare range- I had unstable skin back when I was younger, and was recovering from my horrific acne attack (Thanks to hormonal medication and regular facials), so my cousin (Who until now still owns a Cellnique salon) recommended it to me for a start. This was many many many years back and the range was still very basic and limited 🙂
I used both the cleansers (To double cleanse), the toner (It was neither the Purifying nor Soothing toner available now, that time only one was available and I can’t remember the name) and the moisturiser Moisture Glow, and experienced good results from them. Then I added the scrub. But being in Labuan back then, availability was very poor (OK, it was non-existent haha!) so I stopped using it for a while when they all ran out, switched to Body Shop (Which was available in KK at least) and from then on began my flirtation with skincare 😛
I still look at Clinelle fondly until now, but my choices and budget have expanded so I have to say I’ve not went back, though I wouldn’t hesitate if I need to 🙂
ParisB says
Wow that good huh? Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Those on a budget could give this brand another look I guess. It sounds good so far.

For me , Blemish Clear is the best product of Clinelle. Have tried their toner, moisturiser, hydrating serum, cleansing milk & cleansing gel but I only repurchase the Blemish clear.
ParisB says
Thank you for sharing Lavender! Perhaps the next time I have a pimple problem I could give this one a go.

Clinelle is DA choice for one of my gf who’s plagued with sensitive skin. She swears by Deep Cleansing Gel, Soothing Skin Toner, Moisture Booster and Moisture Glow for the essential daily needs. Personally, Dermocapsule Gold, Brightening Serum and Moisture Booster are great for my dehydrated skin 😉 And the UV Defense White is non-sticky which is great for SG’s weather 🙂

Thanks for sharing Dee!
