Some might call it bikini weather…

July 22, 2011 Paris B 16 Comments

… I just call it “TOO DARNED HOT!”

Its been too darned hot here to really do anything. I just want to hole up in my room, draw my blackout curtains, switch on the air-conditioning full blast and escape from the blistering sun.

So while I should be feeling all summery and reveling in the hot weather, I’m not. Living in the tropics does that to you 😛 The heat saps energy and I don’t even have energy to tell you about the Anna Sui Pedicure Kit (RM168).

anna sui pedicure kit

This is a nice little kit for when you are on holiday (or preparing for one) and want to get your nails beach ready. The red sparkly polishes are lovely – I always love red on toes but you can just as easily use these on fingers too – and the addition of the cooling leg mist is genius! The rose scent isn’t for me but the mist is. I like the cool feel of the mist against the skin – like facial mist… but for the legs LOL! I’ve used up the cooling mist because its nice 🙂

But speaking of bikinis…

Coo-ee! 😀

bikini!

I’ll tell you about this some time. I’m not exactly the most confident about my body. Its far from a bikini bod but the last time I was at a beach resort, I noticed that really, no one cares. Women of all shapes and sizes were strolling around in bikinis and I thought to myself “Why shouldn’t I?”

And why shouldn’t I indeed! I’ve been looking for an inexpensive bikini with an underwired and padded top for a while now, and to find one is lovely. So yes, I’ll tell you more about this soon… when I get over just how awfully HOT it is.

Tell me what’s the weather where you are! Is it bikini weather for you? Or is it the brolly and galoshes for you? Or perhaps you are envying me my sun while you shiver in the cold?

I’m looking out my window now and for once, I’m sort of glad to be in the office, out of the sun… because its just too darned HOT!

Not like you can walk around KL with just a bikini top and short-shorts anyway – getting arrested for indecent exposure is really not an option 😛

Only if it’s yellow 😉 but yes i’d look askance at anyone attempting that here so this is strictly one for the beach/poolside which is a nice way to cool off from the heat.

Yes there are different designs available for the bikini. Was planning to post about it but I realised stocks on the site are low. I’m told it’ll be restocked in a few weeks so I’ll have a post go up then 🙂

I’ll never be brave enough for a bikini… I don’t even dare to wear short shorts. Whenever I wear shorts, they’re usually bermuda length. >.< I plan to get one pair to try tho… hmm.

And the Anna Sui kit looks pretty!!

Start with a tankini – that’s how I braved myself. I still prefer something longer at the bottom that can comfortably cover the bum 😛

Your bikini is so pretty!! 😀 Can’t wait to know where you got it from! I’ve been looking for one with underwires that is pretty and at the same time isnt so low cut until it guarantees a wardrobe malfunction! >.<

I don’t have a bikini bod but got over my self-consciousness after studying in Australia. Women of all shapes were using them without thinking twice. I finally manned up and donned one at the beach, to hell with my tummy, bacne and stretch marks. No one stared or made comments. All in the mind, really.

Agree with ya! We are our own worst critics – in reality, no one really cares.

Sexy bikini! I can never wear it… can’t show my jiggly tummy with stretch marks. Eek 😛

I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskinca I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskincare Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It blew my mind away! Soothes skin. Boosts hydration and just makes you feel like you have the best skin ever! Not kidding. If you have a spot or irritated skin, it calms it down and helps get rid of your spots too. Honey is anti bacterial after all, so it’s a great multitasker.
I also love the Manuka Honey Skin brightening Day Cream. It’s light but creamy and sinks into the skin. I’ve reviewed them both on the blog in the past. If you run a search for Antipodes, you’d also notice how much I love the brand! 😁
I’m super late with this but if you’re planning to purchase any of these 3 Manuka honey items from TNS Skinlab, the code MYWSTUFF10 will give you an extra 10% off (until tomorrow 31 Dec) I highly recommend grabbing the Aura mask. You’ll never want to be without (I always have a backup!)
Thanks for the gift @tnsskinlab and I must apologise for my tardiness 😩 I’ll learn to cope better from next week!
Now I have to scuttle and write my year end musings. Some traditions must be kept! 😜

It’s my first year doing retail and honestly, I’d never been so busy! The year-end rush is unreal! But busy is good, right? At least that’s what I tell myself 😂

Place your order, and pick up in store or have it delivered.
Had a bit of breather today and put together a little video. Blink and miss my little monster 🐶 helping me shop! Not sponsored but I did receive a gift from L’Occitane, for which my sun-exposed, dry dog-walking skin thanks you!
Haven’t done any Christmas shopping this year. It has only just struck me that it’s but mere days away! 😨 Have you done yours?
