Some palettes are meant for sticking in a display cabinet and never being used.
This Limited Edition and very exclusive Lady Dior Palette is one of those. So limited edition that they are numbered.
This newest Dior palette is a work of art, featuring the image of Dior’s latest Lady Dior bag for Spring/Summer 2011- red tweed and blue canework motif that is the signature Dior Cannage design. Dior describes this as a palette of eyeshadows although I cannot quite see how one will wear that red, except as a blush. Still, who’d use this one? Really!
Personally, I’m not quite feeling the colour combination in the bag, but I think the palette looks awe-inspiring simply because of the detail in it. Those blue lines and that Dior charm must have been killer to emboss!
There are only 100 pieces of this collector’s item to be sold in Malaysia and will be available exclusively at Isetan KLCC in September 2011 (price unavailable for now). So if you want this, I suggest you make your reservation with the Dior counter… NOW! 😉
What d’ya think? Does it not bring to mind the delicacy and artwork of the Tailleur Bar palette?
Paris B
my goodness…i’ll have to check on the price and update you later. gee whiz.
I’d estimate it at RM200+ (The Dior Mitzah palette is RM290 so this can’t be very far) and its available in Sept so I think the SAs may not even know what you’re talking about yet! LOL!
wow… very special… unique! The art is really beautiful! but the colours are not so convenient to be used… But the design is really pretty and detailed~ =D
Haha I don’t think we’re even supposed to use it 😛 I’d use the red for blush though 😀
It’s gorgeous! but I always use my palettes!
Same here!
its pretty, and like you, I am not quite sure how red tweed will work out?
blue/red/dark grey, sounds like a palette for “black eye”.
HAHAHA! You are absolutely right about the black eye! HAHa…
i think it’s really a piece of art! but unfortunately i will never have the heart to use it or know how to use it
You and me both!
If I get that beauty of a palette it’ll be the closest I’ll be to own a Lady Dior!
But I’m waiting for the little leopard print one.
*P.S: At least I didn’t almost die this time you showed us something pretty and Dior* heh heh heh
Heh the Dior Mitzah palette (leopard print one) is out at Isetan stores for RM290 and they’re limited edition too.
i’m so looking forward to this.
Cool! I think its launching to coincide with Fall 2011 which I’m also really looking forward to!
Oh my! It looks pretty with the bag design! Can you estimate the price and will they actually entertain your reservation, Paris?
Hey Shyra, roughly estimated at RM200+ and you can probably start making reservation enquiries in July since its only out in Sept (exclusive to Isetan KLCC) 😉
Thanks, Paris! 🙂
Not interested with the color, but as u said, who will want to use it?!!
Not meant to be used, that’s for sure!
I want this one. Not to use, but to keep. If I can’t have the darn bag, I can jolly well have this one! 😛
Just get that darned bag Tine! 😉
That palette is a work of art, so beautiful! I’d never want to use it though. 🙂
Its most certainly worth admiring – I can just imagine the attention to detail needed. But use it? Never!
it looks nice but the colour might be a problem for me. and i may not want to touch it. i 😛
I think the colour’s a problem for everyone – that red is so bright! But its so pretty to look at 😛
So beautiful! Dior makes such wonderful products. And limited edition? Totally awesome!!!
Dior is most certainly stepping up their game! I can’t wait for Fall either. They have some really interesting things coming out!
Very cute and if I had it, I’d almost certainly never use it! Not too sure about the colours though.
I think most of us feel the same way about not using it and the oddity of the colours used. Matches the bag to a T but unfortunately not very flattering on the eyes.
It’s so adorable. I doubt whether I would use it if I ever had one.
Am probably one of the few but I don’t like it. No doubt it’s quite an intricate piece but I honestly do not like makeup that is not functional. I don’t have a problem with the colours individually but as a palette, they just look strange together.
This reminds me of some P&J limited edition lipstick that was shaped as a cat’s head. I can understand that designers like to get creative but please make them practical and user-friendly. After all, folks shell out good money for these items.
Oh yeah I remember that cat head lipstick! I’d never get that because I thought it looked absolutely FREAKY! But this one, I can appreciate the detail in it. I use everything I own, pretty or not anyway but I wouldn’t get this one simply because … red eyeshadow? hello? 😛
