Win! Exclusive My Women Stuff x Sweet Contemplation Accessories necklace and earrings set!

April 3, 2011 Paris B

Happy Sunday Ladies!

Here at MWS, we’ve decided to hop on the collaboration bandwagon! 😀 I commissioned Sweet Contemplation Accessories to design and create an exclusive one off necklace and earring set to commemorate MWS turning 4! 😀 Well its not much of a collaboration per se because its not going up for sale LOL!

Sweet Contemplation Accessories, if you did not know it already, is an online jewellery store based in Melbourne, Australia and owned by my lovely friend Tine, also of Beautyholics Anonymous. We bonded online quite a few years ago over makeup and life madness and I attended her wedding – as the blogger friend she had never met till her wedding day! Awesome or what?! 😀

So without too much ado, I present you the MWS x SCA necklace and earring set as shown above and below! Handmade with love 😉

How cool is that? 😀

As I said above, it isn’t going up for sale, but I commissioned 2 sets from SCA – one for myself, one for a reader… but you’re going to have to slug it out in the comments for it 🙂 Find out how to win your very own MWS x SCA exclusive handmade jewellery set worth AU$70 below, which incidentally completes this month o’ giveaways! 😀

For a chance to win one exclusive MWS x SCA necklace and earring set worth AU$70 (only 2 made!), there are 2 things you can do – #1 is compulsory and #2 is optional.

1. Compulsory: Leave a comment below and tell us 3 things you’d take with you on a desert island. I’d take sunscreen, sunglasses and a swiss army knife – so I can crack coconuts and gut fish you know… 😉

2. Optional : Tweet or FB Like this giveaway. Clicking on the Tweet and Like buttons above or below will do the trick. Then, leave another comment with your Twitter or Facebook status (click on the date of your status to get the link we need) so we know its done. Before posting your comment with the link here, please make sure it works.

This one’s open worldwide and the deadline is 12 noon 6 April 2011  (GMT +8) and a winner will be picked thereafter by an independent third party 🙂

Have fun and good luck! I hope you’ve enjoyed the month long giveaways and as always, I thank each and every one of you for your support and for reading my blog *mwaks* 🙂

Hmm.. If it were up to me, I’ll bring a servant who does everything I say (including hunt for food, cook etc and he should be tall, dark and with washboard abs too), big tent and my boyfriend =x

2 out of those aren’t actually things though.. So it should be knife, tent and big net to catch fish!

  16. Sweetspring says

    April 3, 2011 at 1:13 pm

Interesting! I had always imagined what I would take in this scenario.

First, I would take a multipurpose swiss army knife so I can slice up fishes and also make myself a big straw hat & bed.

Next would be the Australian aboriginal music instrument Didgeridoo to attract people’s attention in case a ship was passing by the island. I can entertain myself when I’m lonely too (very important according to Tom Hanks’ Cast Away movie)!

Lastly a cigarette lighter (but I don’t smoke!!) so that I could cook anything and smoke up a bunch of dry leaves for the dramatic helicopter rescue! =P

  17. Andrea says

hmm…the most super kiasu Swiss Army knife ever that has like over 100+ extensions….a large roll of tarpaulin (to build a tent, make a flag for a signal, keep myself warm, or er…catch fish?) and as with most other girls….a box of sunscreen/sunblock…hehe…

    I’d bring
    1. A swiss army knife for basic survival
    2. A lighter for fire to cook fish and keep warm
    3. A reflector jacket so that i can still send SOS messages at night when i’m sleeping 🙂

  19. milktea says

    April 3, 2011 at 2:33 pm

I will bring a big hawker style umbrella to shield me from the sun. A big straw hat and a pair of sunglasses to shield from the sun.. there’s a theme going on here.. 🙂

  20. Lisa says

    April 3, 2011 at 4:17 pm

If I can bring one thing… And has the means to own one in the first place, i”ll just bring a ship loaded with rooms and food etc and so I can go cruising from island to island. Not possible? I’ll settle for three things: clean water, sleeping tent, food. Don’t think I’m capable to source for my own food or build my own shelter with my bare hands.

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Excellent good fun! 😆 Your eyes always want more than your stomach can handle. Ate a lot and bought even more food back home. Diet? What diet? 😂

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
