I told you about the new Estee Lauder Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells skincare range a month ago. I had the opportunity to sample a few products in the range so I’ll just tell you quickly what I thought about them.
Estee Lauder Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening Cleanser – RM140/125ml
This is your regular basic foaming cleanser. Personally, I found nothing special about it because I don’t believe that a cleanser can help your skin get whiter/brighter. Just my personal view. The plus point is that unlike the original cleanser, this one did not leave my skin feeling squeaky clean and dry and tight. It felt comfortable after washing, but I’d still recommend you get moisturized quickly after that.
Estee Lauder Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening Moisture Lotion – RM160/200ml
This one’s the lotion or toner. It does make my skin feel more moist when I wipe and pat it on my skin. In that sense, it feels comfortable. The scent is a little strong though.
Estee Lauder Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening Moisture Cream – RM245/50ml
If you have normal-dry skin, then you can use this in the day. If you have oily skin, there is a lotion that would be more suitable. I have normal-dry skin (in parts) and I found this cream nice for the day but insufficient for me at night. My skin felt dry when I wake up in the morning. However, used twice a day for about a week, and used with another brightening serum (of a different brand) I did notice a little brightening of the skin. Didn’t have the chance to figure out if it really was for me when it ran out. Its not a heavy cream and feels comfortable on the skin although it does feel like a film on the skin, which can bother some people.
Estee Lauder Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening UV Protector SPF50/PA+++ – RM175/30ml
This is the sunscreen. The texture is a liquid lotion and we were advised to use the tap-tap piano method to apply it. I abided by that advise but after a few days, realized it was not sufficient for me. So, I went back to using it the way I usually do i.e. squeeze dollops and spread on each part of my face. I found it was not overly oily for me, and my skin felt comfortable with it on, and it did not leave a white cast, nor make my skin go red or burn even when I was in the sun. I rather like this one, even if the price is a little steep 🙂
Estee Lauder Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells overall
On an overall basis, I like the UV Protector sunscreen and Moisture Cream. I personally feel that both these items work the best to assist in skin whitening/brightening – the former to protect, the latter to treat. If you were interested in treating pigmentation or in a whitening/brightening line of skincare, my suggestion is to get the Moisture Cream/Milky Lotion and the Essence. You could probably do without the other items in the line 🙂 I’ve passed the Essence to a friend and we’ll hear from her when its time 🙂
Have you tried the Cyberwhite Brilliant Cells line? Or have you tried any Cyberwhite line before this? I used part of the line during its early days and I think, comparing with then, the formula has been much better improved! 🙂

Hi Paris! I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon your blog but I found it and have been loving your posts ever since! And I never used to even read beauty blogs! I love how thorough you are with your reviews and your writing is so good, too. T

Hi Caroline, thank you so much! You just made my day 😀

As I told u before, anything promise me for whitening and brightening make me want to spend money. I never tried Estee Lauder coz my 3 of my aunt use it since i was kid so I got stereotype in my mind as an “auntie” cosmetic.
But this line advertise quite often and I want to try since I have failed with ponds, laneige, and clarins, so still searching for the one will work for my discoloration.
Do u think the essence/serum is worth to try compare to clinique derma white?
ParisB says
I didn’t try the essence Amanda, so I can’t tell if its better than Clinique Derma White (which I liked). That said, I too have the auntie image associated with Estee Lauder, but i have to say that they have slowly started to break that mould which I think is great. There are some nice things in the brand and it would be a pity for us to just view them as “aunty” and skip it 😉 Then again, maybe I’m just getting older too LOL! 😀

Hey Paris! This range never appealed to me becoz of the tacky name. Cyberwhite…ewww…but the aim getting older and probably would use this brand more. Hahaha…
Based on your review, I bought the hydrationist serum. It’s working very well and I love it!!! The eye cream in the range is one which I enjoy using. Never enjoy using any eyecream at all.
The serum helped me to get rid of a dry bout for my skin. makes my powder makeup sit better. Or else really blotchy.
Keep those useful reviews coming!

Haha the name could do with some tweaking huh? I’m glad to know that Hydrationist works for you. It is really lovely under moisturizer in the day and as you said, helps keep the make up on better. Thanks for the vote of confidence! 😀

Hey PB, thanks for this–have always been curious about EL’s skincare range. My mom used to use some stuff from them in the past, but I always felt the scent was too heavy for me. However, it’s managed to keep her skin fabulously supple and she looks younger than her actual age!
Just a question, what exactly is “essence”? I’ve never really known what that term is and how that fits in with your skincare routine.
ParisB says
Essence is another term for serum 🙂 So its usually after cleansing and toner, before moisturiser 🙂 Don’t the different terms just kill you?

I was just trying the Extra Intensive Purifying Treatment. It was fun seeing the product foamed up!

Hey I was wondering where the brightening products are made?
Thank you.
ParisB says
It says they are Made in the USA.
