Bewitched by Max Factor Lipstick in Bewitching Coral

April 14, 2011 Paris B 17 Comments

Bewitching Coral. Don’t you just love the name? 😀

This is the name of the Max factor lipstick I have which happens to be a very pretty colour. Bewitching even. 🙂

max factor lipstick bewitching coral

And the description is about right too. Its a coral lipstick and its bright. The colour in the tube is a little warmer than what you see in the photo above but the swatch below is pretty much what it is.

Ah here it is 🙂

Swatches of the Max Factor Bewitching Coral lipstick

See, I told you its coral. So if you are looking for a coral lipstick to welcome in Summer or if you just want to wear a coral lipstick, you could take a look at this one. The lipstick applies quite pigmented. Pretty much exactly what you see in the tube, which is good. One swipe and you’re good to go.

The downside is that its a little drying and it doesn’t have shimmer nor does it have a glossy finish. If you have dry lips, it will accentuate the lines, so apply a thin layer of lip balm first and you’ll be alright.

The upside is that the lipstick lasts quite long, as is expected of this formula, and it really brightens up the face.

Pros: Affordable, Pretty colour, Long lasting

Cons: A little drying

Oh and I’m not crazy about the packaging either. Its packaged in a regular black bullet which is quite normal looking. I suppose for RM38 I couldn’t be expecting something like Guerlain Rouge G 😛 Then again, its what’s inside that counts and this does everything it should.

Do take a look… if you have not already done so 😀

Max Factor Colour Collections Lipstick retails at RM38 at Max Factor counters located in Isetan, Parkson, Metrojaya and Pacific Department Stores.

It’s pretty!! ^.^ I have a coral lipstick too, but it looks a little… pink for me.

And I just got a NYX Round lipstick!! Hebe’s the color, and it’s sooo red! PB, I may have found the ONE! Unless of course, if I’m allergic to it…

Lovely shade you have there, Paris! I’d be all over that lipstick if it wasn’t for the drying tidbit. I’m currently in love with Benefit’s lipsticks – they’re so moisturising! – so I’ll try to find that tone of coral there.^^ It looks amazing on you! It’s somewhere between the girlish pink and the maneater red. 😉 Fresh and classy all in one!

Thank you Mari! I wasn’t too thrilled with it being a little drying either. I do like Benefit lipsticks too! Are you into the Silky finish or Full Finish ones? I think there are similar shades in that line – there usually is 😉

This colour is so pretty on you, Paris. I wish corals would work on me, but unfortunately they are extremely hit-or-miss 🙁 Hence sticking to cool pinks as they never ever fail me.

Thank you Ksuan! Thankfully coral lipsticks are quite good to go for me, but I’m learning that coral blushes are hit or miss 😛
