Another day, another giveaway for turning 4! Approaching the end though. Tell me you’re liking this 😛
So you all know I love my red lipsticks. I’d like to think I might have inspired some of you to go down the red lip road heh… or at least, give red lipstick a try. Honestly, it transforms a look instantly and everyone can wear red lipstick – you just have to wear it with attitude!
So to get you started, here are 2 red lipsticks I’d like to share with you, from 2 brands I personally like – Clarins Rouge Prodige Fusion Red and Rouge Dior Red Premiere. This also means, there will be 2 winners! Yay! 😀
Open worldwide, because I can 🙂
For a chance to win one of the 2 lipsticks featured here, here’s 2 things you can do – you must do #1 but #2 is optional:-
- Compulsory – Leave a comment below telling us how you feel about red lipstick. Does it scare you? Do you love it? Does it make you look classy? Or trashy? 😛 Spill your red lipstick stories! 😀
- Optional – Like this post on Facebook, or Tweet it – your choice. Clicking on the Tweet and Like buttons on the top or bottom of this post will do the trick; or just post it on your Facebook/Twitter and when you’re done doing either, leave a separate comment below with a link to your Facebook status or Tweet so I know its been done 🙂 (Just choose either social media – doing both is nice but its still only 1 extra entry) For FB entries, please use the Like button here, not on the MWS page.
I realize the rules are slightly different this time, but as I’ve mentioned, #2 is optional – although it basically gets you an extra entry which means increasing the odds of winning 😉
Clarification: If you choose to participate in the Optional entry, please leave a separate comment with the link to your status so you’ll have 2 comments total. If its bundled, I’ll count it as 1 – we’re going by comment count. Also, whether you use Facebook or Twitter, you only get 1 extra entry. Extra comments will be deleted. 🙂 To get your status link on FB/Twitter click on the date – thats the link we want, not your profile link. I’ll allow the links for this giveaway but future giveaways will be more strict.
The deadline is 12 noon on 31 March 2011 (Thursday) (+8 GMT) and 2 winners will be chosen from the comments below. The lipsticks will be assigned at random so keep your fingers crossed for the one you’d like 🙂
Good luck!
Paris B

I’m still a bit scared of red! The last time I wore one was to a 20’s-themed Christmas party. I’m planning that the next time I go out with just some girl friends I will experiment with a red or a fuchsia pink lip. 😀

Never have red lipstick before, and lately I kinda think to get one but haven’t get it yet, coz always hesitate to buy, but every time I saw a photo with red-lipstick I really want to try.
Red can be classy and smart but also can looks trashy whore, it very depend on the color and application. Thats why until now I’m still afraid to try.
My bravest color I ever tried is baby pink…. hahahaha 😀

To me, red lipstick is something everyone can pull off, but provided with the right “one”. Therefore, wearing red lippie to me, is an art =)

I’m not usually after giveaways, believe it or not, this is the first time I enter. And red lipstick is a spot on. Anyway…
The first even red lipstick I bought was a Chanel Rouge Allure in N?14 Passion, yes, when it first came out a few years ago. That was a daring move and I don’t regret it.
Now I am pretty much a collector of different red lipsticks, I love them, I have good lips (I was told by the MA in Dior some women would pay thousands of pounds to have mine) so why not? And it shows your confidence as well.
My go-to lipstick was Dolce & Gabanna The Shine Lipstick in N?105 Magnifica from the 2010 The Roses Collection. I bought two because that was the perfect red.
Now since I am more tanned, I would go for Chanel Rouge Allure in N?71 Fatale or Le Metier de Beaute lip creme in Framboise. The latter is an intense metallic red with an awesome sheen which last for ages. And yes I bought two, again.
I think every women can carry a red lipstick, you just have to have the guts to put it on, find the right shade and you are good to go. It’s nothing simpler to update yourself than a good red lippie.
Sorry for this long entry…I just can’t control myself when it comes to red lipsticks! xxx

I have a strange relationship with red lippies. I always view them with suspicion while contemplating if I can pull the look off (and I swear they glare back at me!). But every single time I decide to wear red lippie, I feel great for the rest of the day! Maybe red REALLY is empowering! …. *suspicious*

Red lipstick reminds me of my childhood. I started playing with my mom lipstick when I was 5? Haha. I remembered making her put on some lipstick on me so I can look like her. Now I am 21 and I am still in love with my mom red lippies. Of course, I have some of my own now. 🙂 My increasing love for red lippies is also because it makes me feel good about myself and makes my face radiant even if what i have on my face is just tinted moisturizer.

i have a few red lipsticks and i love them BUT i rarely wear them except for when i go out at night! guess i need the cover of ‘darkness’ to balance the bright lips. 😀

Personally, I’d rather go red than nude, although my lips are already kind of rosy, so I can pull of a light red much more “unnoticeably” than nude lips, which make me look sick. ^^;
Just yesterday, I watched Glee and a character was sporting a red lip with next-to-no make-up (the Hollywood version) on the rest of her face, so maybe I’ll try that.

i’m scared of putting on red lipstick because my upper lip is unevenly sized and i’m hesitant abt drawing attention to it. while i admire how classy some ppl can look with it on, i just feel it looks too old on me like i’m wearing my mum’s makeup.
Inês says
I love red lipstick, but I use it only on special occasions. I do wish I could use it everyday though lol My favorite is Chanel Dragon, it’s such an intense red… I just wish I could apply that kind of bold red more quickly, I take a LONG time lining my lips and make them look right!

I have been very hesitant about trying on red lipstick. I do think that the models and girls in daring red look gorgeous. However, I’ve always really gone for a natural, nude look and don’t know how red would look on me. That said, I’d love to give it a go. I wanna pull it off with a confident smile too. 😉

I’ve never worn red lipstick before…so yes, you could say I’m afraid of it. My go to colors are usually on the sheer side…though I been loving Smashbox’s Candid shade of lip gloss lately…so pretty, and it smells nice too 🙂

Red lips makes me feel classy, feminine & graceful. It just transforms the way I walk and carry myself 🙂

Unfortunately, it still scares me whether I can pull off red lipstick or not. I have thick lips so when I wear red, I will have this huge red pout which I’m not too keen about. This is why I stick to non-attention-grabbing colours like neutral pink or just lip balm. =S Maybe I just need to up my confidence to carry out the look or find the perfect red? Otherwise, I have a huge respect for people who wear red lipstick. I always think they look gorgeous and confident! =D
While we’re on this topic, do you have any tips on minimizing the look of thick lips while wearing daring colours? =P

I’ve always been avoiding red lipstick though i adore how it looks on those celebrities. The reason i’m avoiding it is because i tend to think that it’s suppose to be worn when your make up doesn’t emphasize on the eye area, which sadly is what i normally do as I need some extra perk on them. I’d like to know what’s your opinion on this 🙂
