Another day, another giveaway for turning 4! Approaching the end though. Tell me youโre liking this ๐
So you all know I love my red lipsticks. Iโd like to think I might have inspired some of you to go down the red lip road hehโฆ or at least, give red lipstick a try. Honestly, it transforms a look instantly and everyone can wear red lipstick โ you just have to wear it with attitude!
So to get you started, here are 2 red lipsticks Iโd like to share with you, from 2 brands I personally like โ Clarins Rouge Prodige Fusion Red and Rouge Dior Red Premiere. This also means, there will be 2 winners! Yay! ๐
Open worldwide, because I can ๐
For a chance to win one of the 2 lipsticks featured here, hereโs 2 things you can do โ you must do #1 but #2 is optional:-
- Compulsory โ Leave a comment below telling us how you feel about red lipstick. Does it scare you? Do you love it? Does it make you look classy? Or trashy? ๐ Spill your red lipstick stories! ๐
- Optional โ Like this post on Facebook, or Tweet it โ your choice. Clicking on the Tweet and Like buttons on the top or bottom of this post will do the trick; or just post it on your Facebook/Twitter and when youโre done doing either, leave a separate comment below with a link to your Facebook status or Tweet so I know its been done ๐ (Just choose either social media โ doing both is nice but its still only 1 extra entry) For FB entries, please use the Like button here, not on the MWS page.
I realize the rules are slightly different this time, but as Iโve mentioned, #2 is optional โ although it basically gets you an extra entry which means increasing the odds of winning ๐
Clarification: If you choose to participate in the Optional entry, please leave a separate comment with the link to your status so youโll have 2 comments total. If its bundled, Iโll count it as 1 โ weโre going by comment count. Also, whether you use Facebook or Twitter, you only get 1 extra entry. Extra comments will be deleted. ๐ To get your status link on FB/Twitter click on the date โ thats the link we want, not your profile link. Iโll allow the links for this giveaway but future giveaways will be more strict.
The deadline is 12 noon on 31 March 2011 (Thursday) (+8 GMT) and 2 winners will be chosen from the comments below. The lipsticks will be assigned at random so keep your fingers crossed for the one youโd like ๐
Good luck!
Paris B
If new please read the general terms and conditions for giveaways here.
* Note: Clarins Rouge Prodige came slightly nicked in one corner

When I wear red lippies I feel so much more โgrown upโ, not old, but more sophisticated and elegant. Well, that being said, it was not more difficult for me to wear red lippies as I do pink because my lips are naturally redder and are not โskin coloredโ ^.^
I tweeted this post!

Thanks โ you might want to leave another comment with the link to the tweet or itโll be just counted as 1 ๐

I used to be scared of red lipstick, but now I love it! A simple face and a bold red lip you can never go wrong with that.

I was born with an addiction for red lipstick! Its a gene I got from my fiesty teacher grandma. my lipstick stash of over 30 tubes are 90% red hues. my mom goes bonkers over it haha. when my grandma died I was so appalled that the morgue painted on a frosty pink lipstick on her that I had them open her coffin and I painted red lipstick on her. I was thinking my grandma would be rolling on her grave because of the hideous pink lipstick she was wearing..
hahaha its a morbid story im sorry eheh..
Eli says
Not competing, P, but I have to say that I loved this story. Not morbid at all.

when the red lippie trend started, i was delighted. it instantly adds a touch of glamour and makes one look more sophisticated. i think it even looks extra good on asians as it stands out among the pale skin and slitted eyes. i tried on the red lippie during last halloween and dressed up as a witch ๐ the only downside is that sometimes it might stain.

When I was a kid, I secretly tried my mom’s red lipsticks when she wasn’t at home. That was how I fall in love with the reds. Oh yeah! I (stupidly) applied red lipstick on my cheek as blusher (I don’t know what is blusher back then, being a nerdy kid). Needless to say, I looked like one of the Cirque du Soleil’s entertainer.

Growing up and looking at my Mumโs old photos, she used to rock the red lipstick! She was really experimental and daring with her makeup and I dare say that most of the looks sheโs worn before keep re-appearing as trends (Except for the nude look- Iโve never seen my Mum wear the nude look when she has makeup ever!) ๐
Then she met and married my Dad, and as they fell into hard times and had both me and my brother, she gave up on makeup completely because, well, they needed the money for more important things.
Now that my family is back on its feet and is stable, so to speak, Iโd like to re-introduce her passion for makeup. Sheโs always been supportive of my skincare/makeup habit (Makeup more, really) but has never shopped for makeup herself ever since she gave up on it. When I went for my Estee Lauder Model Search on a whim and brought back the Blockbuster set for her she was enthralled.
So in short, Iโd like to win one of the lippies, not for me (Although Iโd love to try red lipstick- it certainly makes me feel, well, seductive :D) but for my Mum, who rocked red lipstick when she was younger.

I only use red lipstick for dinners. It looks really good on me as I am fair. However, because of my skin colour, I canโt use red for normal everyday wear as it looks much too over the top ๐
Elaine says
Iโm beginning to wear more red lipstick this past four months from reading your blog!!! Hahah! Your love for red lippies sorta inspired me to be moreโฆ. courageous? Hehe! So, thank you! I think red lipstick makes one look really classy and elegant.
Hasegawa Ayane says
I love wearing red lipsticks however I become very conscious about my teeth looking more obviously yellow (as with any other bright coloured lipstick) ๐ Because of that, I smile less when I wear a red lipstick making me look like a very serious person lol
