Iβm impressed with how my mom and dad raise my two sisters and I without complaint. They work day and night just to earn money for 3 kids to study. They have managed to support both of my sisters to study medicine and me to pursue dentistry.Itβs not easy to do that. Now my sisters have graduated from university and finally, they can sit back and relax.I hope I can graduate asap so that they donβt have to worry about all of us anymore.
Iβm just so impressed at the price of the facial! Being a poor student, I will never be able to afford such a treatment! I know a lot of people have dedicated their comments to their mothers but Iβm dedicating this to my grandmother who turns 86 this year. She has gone through so much in the last 4 years β having been abandoned by my uncles in Kelantan as she fractured her hip, having survived a minor heart attack; her sheer perseverance and having the strongest of wills to carry on simply leaves me in awe of her.
As we live in Kuala Lumpur, we have been trying to persuade her to come and live with us but to no avail as she insists that her sons will finally come to their senses and bring her home.
This has been going on until last week when she finally decided to come and live with us for 2 months! This is an exciting time for us and yes, the voucher would really come in handy as my poor granny has never had a facial done in her entire life!!
Life comes in many wonderment and awe. I would have to say children make a deeper impression on me. Their innocence, selflessness ( yes, there are a fair few who would not hesistate to push their baby brother to the ground just so that they can get ahead of the rat race ) and sometimes simple logic that ironically escapes even the adults. They make delightful teachers because you least expect to learn something from such little minds yet they can show you amidst your years of experience, itβs not always what you think it is but more to what your heart tells you. A facial treat would certainly provide a wonderful respite to my harassing schedule as a full time working mother but nothing gives my face a better glow than my daughter telling me she doesnβt mind the way I am at all, spots, wrinkles, open pores and all simply because, I am her mother and she loves me so.
Children make me want to be a better person. There is a reason why they worry a lot less and live a lot more. Keep things meaningful and simple.
Some people might just laugh this off, but what impresses me the most is myself. Being someone who is always afraid of heights, those exciting games like roller coasters, solero shots, you name it, are a big no-no for me. Iβve tried to ride them, but would always backed out last minute. Therefore I always think that I will never be able to ride one.
However, during my trip to Korea recently, my friends dare me to ride on the T-Express, the worldβs steepest wooden coaster at 77 degrees, with speed of 104km/h and during 3 minutes! Aaaa! Why donβt you just kill me?! But maybe because I donβt wanna lose the dare, with my teeth clenched and eye shut, I rode it. Yes, I rode it! Wah, you can never imagine how scary that was, but at the same time, how impressed I was with myself.
That experience taught me that actually there is so much undiscovered potential in ourselves, we just need to explore all possibilities. ^.^
What impresses me is how you manage to find things to blog about day in and day out π
What impresses me is how united the Japanese are. Yesterday I saw on TV how those in the Tokyo Theatre were trying to lift up the collapsed theatre roof to try to look for victims. It is that unity and hardwork that will see Japan through a fast recovery from this disaster. I wish them the best and hope more people will donate to the cause. I know you can even donate through World Vision so that is really cool.
What impresses me is the nuclear plant operators who works so hard to keep the temperature down in several reactors affected by the earthquake and tsunami.
They never stop although they know they will be affected by the radiations. This kind of spirit is very impressive.
God bless the Japan.
What impressed me is how my boyfriend manage to get thru his childhood of parents divorcing, leaving him to follow his mum, and then losing his mum to cancer. Having no one else but his aunt and grandmother to care for him, he still turned out to be such an intelligent, kind, sweet, gentle and loving man that he is today.
What impresses me is how you manage to wrangle this deal from Kanebo and how effortless you make it seem to blog! Way to go ParisB! π
What Iβm impressed by is how people can still surprise you with little nice gestures in this day and age; like when someone keeps the door open for you instead of letting it slam in your face behind them. Or the barista who comps you a free drink or shot from time to time.
I miss chivalry, darn it.
