Mystery Item Fun : Mystery Item No. 4 – Terry Cloth Hairband

March 30, 2011 Paris B 6 Comments

Mystery Item #4 of the mystery items I bought from Sasa stumped a few of you. I love JackieA’s answer the best – dare you eat a cheese that looked like THIS? 😛

hmmm...

I wouldn’t 😛 Thankfully, its not cheese (whew!) but a terry cloth hairband!

Answer: Cloth Hairband – RM7.90

I was looking for a cloth hairband like the one Nikki showed, but I couldn’t find it in Sasa. What I found was this – a terry cloth hairband. You can use it two ways depending on how you want to hold off the hair from your face.

You can use the wide part on the front to hold off the hair, but I found that the rest of the hair at the back of my head would fall forward if I were to lean over the sink. So I turned it around and used the knotted area in the front, and the wide bit at the back where I can stuff the rest of my hair into it. Its great for holding back short hair like mine. Its not as perfect as the one Nikki showed though, This one’s rather tight, so you do still end up with hairband hair – you know when your fringe sticks straight up? I hate it when that happens 😛

But at least I’m keeping the rest of the hair out of my face and I find it most useful when I’m having a facial mask on.

I’m still keeping a look out for the Tassi style headband so if anyone has come across something similar, please holler! 🙂

Terry Cloth Hairband from Sasa retailed at RM7.90 each.

i can’t tuck my hair into it, hair way too long and thick for it, and I totally understand you on the hairband hair! It actually leaves a mark on my hair and it’s so hard to get back in shape >_<

Now that you mention it, it could be a crumbly cheddar cheese as seen by someone without specs and very poor vision! And no sense of smell! 🙂

If this one wears out on you and you would like replacements, there are cheaper ones in Daiso and they come in various sizes and colours too.

Oh hurrah for sharing this info! 😀 I don’t go to Daiso often but I must really make a trip there soon and see if they have the Tassi lookalike! 😀
