Mystery Item Fun: Mystery Item 3 – Hair Velcro Sheets

March 28, 2011 Paris B 8 Comments

Item No. 3 from the mystery items I bought from Sasa last week was so obvious it seems 🙂

Yep! Its something that so many people have tried at some point or another for holding up their hair.

Answer: Hair Velcro Sheets – RM4.90/3 pcs

I’d seen lots of these around the web but I didn’t realize it was actually so cheap. I read a lot of people use something called Dariya Velcro Hair Sheets and I’m guessing this is it, except there is no English anywhere on the packaging (its all in Japanese) so I can’t tell you if these are the same ones.

hair velcro

These rather large sheets of velcro are used to hold your fringe off your face while you put on your skincare or makeup. The best part is that it doesn’t cause your fringe to stand up as a hairband would, and it does a pretty good job at holding the hair in place, much to my surprise (I wasn’t expecting it to work)

Excellent for those of us with a short fringe. I use two but the pack came with 3. I think I’ll use 3 then! 😀 It doesn’t work for washing your face though because it does not hold your hair back very well. You’re better off using a hairband for that. Works best for putting on skincare or makeup in the mornings for me.

I know many of you have already used this so tell me if you aren’t enjoying this really inexpensive fun item as much as I am!

Hair Velcro retails at RM4.90/3pcs from a local Sasa store.

I LOVE them and use them everyday to hold my hair when I’m doing my makeup. I first saw them at SaSa in Hong Kong but didn’t buy any because I wasn’t sure if they’d work. I saw them again in Malaysia this year and decided to grabbed 3 colours for backup. After all they’re only RM3.90 each (I think. There are 2 in a pack).

I bought mine from Sasa too but only came in 2! Got mine in black last year. One went missing. Living with 1 now. It’s ok, though as you mentioned, it doesn’t hold hair very well.

I have this but I prefer using rubber bands to tie my hair back.

This come into use only after haircuts and there are baby hair which is difficult to hold back with bands.

I have to be careful when removing it otherwise it will take some strands of my hair with it! 🙂
