Mini Tropical Scented Goodness! Garnier Body NutriRepair Repairing Milk Lotion

March 11, 2011 Paris B 6 Comments

If you like the scent of mangoes, you are going to love this one. Not only does this body lotion contain mango extract for dry skin, it smells like a mango lassi. Its all I can do to not ladle spoonfuls of it into my mouth 😛

The Garnier Body NutriRepair Repairing Milk Lotion has been around in the market for a few months at least now. I was using the small bottle to try to cure my dry skin problem. I have a story to tell about my dry skin woes but that’ll be the subject matter of another day because its just too depressing heading into the weekend 😛

Whilst this milk lotion did not cure the problem, it felt quite nice for the body.

Because mine is the small 120ml version, I keep it in the living room so I will remember to apply lotion while watching telly. My previous experience with mango scented body lotions were body butters which are really way too heavy and oily for our hot humid weather. It made me feel ill.

This one on the other hand, as a very light mango scent that isn’t cloying, as I have noted and is quite nice. I wouldn’t keep it on my bedside table because I don’t like smelling like a fruit when I go to sleep. So thankfully the smell dissipates 😛

It absorbs quite quickly into my skin without leaving it feeling oily and sticky which is another plus. And it did work to soften the drier areas of my body like the elbows and knees.

Pros: Light texture, Absorbs quickly, Not oily or sticky on the skin, Inexpensive

Cons: Mango scent might be too sweet for some

I can’t really complain for the price you’d pay for this little fella. All of RM9.90 and they probably go on sale often too. Now all those companies who think that products with a “tropical scent” should smell like coconut, take a leaf from Garnier and make them smell like mangoes instead. THAT is the smell of a warm tropical day 😛

Have you tried this? Do you like tropical scented products? Many of them tend to veer towards either mangoes, coconut or passion fruit for anything “tropical”. I stay far far away from anything with coconut but I’m quite partial towards mangoes and passion fruit. I love eating them too! 😀

Garnier Body NutriRepair Milk Lotion retails at RM9.90/120ml, RM16.90/250ml and RM21.90/400ml at all major pharmacies, supermarkets etc

sunkiller clogged my pores very bad …even though it’s very effective in sun protecting.

oh no, really? =( i used the babymilk one tho. anyway i’m the weird one out, i know sunkiller has TONS of silicone, infact almost every other ingredients seems to be methicone, thicone thicone and so on. but my face lurves silicones, so it’s fine with it. lol.

I used to read about Sunkiller sunscreen but I’d never tried it! I saw it in Watson’s too but didn’t get it coz I was afraid it might have that papery feel many of these sunscreens do. Glad to know it works for you! I might give it a go one day 😀 BTW That Bird’s Nest cleansing foam is intriguing!
