Some time late last year, Ashley of Apronbay invited me and another friend to take a look at her newly launched store in Bangsar. My first thought was “It must be food related! Maybe its a cafe … yummy!” The only thing that registered was “Apron” you see.
But when I got there, it turned out that Apronbay is not a cafe, but a waxing salon with an aviation theme. Yeah, you might have read about this before 🙂 Their speciality is the Brazilian Wax but they do a whole host of other waxing too, as well as manicures and pedicures. An Apron Bay I’m told, is the place where airplanes park at the airport. The ramp itself it called an “Apron” and bay is the parking bay.
What sets Apronbay apart from the other waxing salon I went to is the ambiance. At Apronbay, I felt like I was stepping into a 1st class lounge, with its dimmed lights and comfortable waiting area. It puts you at ease and relaxes you from the get go. I was there for a Brazilian Wax – I know I said I wouldn’t go for another but I’d received a voucher and it would be crass to let it go to waste. So here’s my recent Brazilian wax experience at Apronbay.
