Get Wet n Wild with the WnW Color Icon Greed Eyeshadow palette

February 23, 2011 Paris B 32 Comments

Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins many of us will identify within ourselves. And Greed is what I felt after using the Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow palette. I now want more! Isn’t that just Greedy of me? 😛

Seriously though, it would be awesome to get my hands on the other Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow palettes. If you’ve read about these online (and I’m sure you have!) you’d know how everyone complains about how Greed is the suckiest of the lot. Not having any others to compare to, I say that on its own its not sucky at all! It is in fact, very nice for the price you pay – all of US$5 (RM15 at today’s exchange) at Non-Pareil Boutique where mine came from. $5! Makes you really wonder how they look and you’ll find out from the swatches below 🙂

Burt’s Bees All in One Wash is a Jack of All Trades…

All in one, and master of none.

review burts bees all in one wash

That’s exactly how I felt about the Burt’s Bees All in One wash. This was a swap exchange as part of a Burts Bees grab bag from the USA and its taken me a while to get round to actually using anything in there. I’m new to Burts Bees. Not new to the brand, just new to using it.

And the All in One wash is a bloody bad introduction to the brand 😛

Adventures in Makeup: How adventurous are you with colour? Yellow and Pink blush anyone?

February 22, 2011 Paris B 40 Comments

Lookee! A yellow and pink blush!

A yellow and pink blush??

Now who’d ever have thought of that?

Anna Sui of course 🙂 This yellow and pink blush is part of a trio of 3 limited edition blush duos released with the Spring 2011 collection.

I received this last week and I’ve been looking at it from all angles since, wondering how would be the best way to use it. Should I use the pink for colour and yellow as a highlight?

My Makeup Brushes : Smashbox Definer Eyeshadow Brush #15

February 21, 2011 Paris B 7 Comments

I’ve had some people email to ask about the makeup brushes I use and that’s when I realized that I don’t talk a lot about makeup brushes do I? Well I have to rectify that 🙂 So from now, as and when I can, I will be showing you some of the makeup brushes I use on a day to day basis and what I think of them. That’s a bit silly right? If I use them on a day to day basis I should be liking them 😛 Let me think about that for a bit…but I’ll start with one of my favourite brushes.

The Smashbox Definer brush #15 is an eyeshadow brush. I first came across it when I met with the Smashbox artist Robin Flanagan who enthused about the brush for eyeshadow colour application. I however balked at getting it immediately because I’m always a bit hesitant about getting brushes off the bat (they’re pricey for an impulsive purchase).

It haunted me however, and one day, I saw it go on sale on StrawberryNET.com. Naturally, it went into my shopping cart and into my hot little hands. I’m very glad for that! 😀
