What is your favourite non-beauty item in 2010?

Do you realize that today is the last Sunday in 2010? Its also Boxing Day and I’m sure many of you are either happily messing with your Christmas presents or out hitting the Boxing Day sales 😉

There was so much to love about all the beautiful beauty related things we saw in 2010. But I’m curious if you have a favourite non-beauty item in 2010?

It could be something you purchased yourself, or something someone gave you. To widen the scope, why don’t you tell me what your favourite non-beauty (cosmetic/skincare) related item is? It could be your favourite pair of shoes or belt or maybe you bought a new car? 🙂

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having a very hectic time at work so this weekend, I’m taking the opportunity to chill out at home with my new Dirt Candle acquisition. I love scented candles and Dirt Candles are the best! 😀

Your Say: Does a celebrity endorsement influence your beauty purchases?

This past year, we’ve seen quite a few big names signed onto beauty brands. The L’Oreal group heads the list with recent celebrity signings of Julia Roberts for Lancome, Aishwarya Rai for L’Oreal hair, Gerard Butler for L’Oreal Men and most recently, Jennifer Lopez as L’Oreal Paris Global Brand Ambassador which means we’ll be seeing her on ads soon.

Estee Lauder has Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow as longstanding endorsers; and next year, we’ll see Natalie Portman make an appearance for Dior Parfums which includes cosmetics I think.

Receiving all this news, I found myself wondering just what the woman on the street feels about these celebrity endorsements.

Does the face of a particular celebrity encourage you to purchase the product endorsed?

Does it encourage brand recognition for you?

Or maybe you aren’t affected by it?
