A breath of Spring 2011 with Dior, Lancome and Guerlain

December 18, 2010 Paris B 20 Comments

Happy Saturday Ladies!

While you go about your Christmas shopping or just shopping in general, I thought I’d show you some pretty things you might want to save up for in Spring 2011 🙂

Dior Spring 2011 – Dior Cannage Palette

dior cannage palette spring 2011

Of all the palettes I’ve seen for Spring 2011, I personally love the Dior Cannage Palette the best. It comes in 2 shades – the one pictured and another which is smokey greys. I’m eyeing the smokey grey one 😀 The reason I like this the best is not just the colours (which are me!) but the practicality of it. Yes, the Dior Dentelle Pearl Glow palette from last year was so pretty with its lace detail, but I like this one for its simplicity. Can’t wait to see it 🙂

Lancome Spring 2011 – Butterflies Fever Blush and Highlighter

lancome butterflies fever palette spring 2011

Lancome is going the pretty route for Spring 2011. Just look at that pretty palette that Lancome touts as a blush and highlight palette. I think it’d make some pretty eyeshadow too don’t you? Although I’m not sure how anyone could actually dig into that work of art.

Guerlain Spring 2011 – Rue di Rivoli Eyeshadow palette

I already showed you the actual product picture of the Serie Noir Blush de G blush and here is a press picture of the eyeshadow palette in Rue di Rivoli.

I love the look of the 5 shades around the sides, but I’m not quite feeling that pop of fuchsia. Any ideas how one might wear something this bright on the eyes? I might actually detract and try to use it as a blush. Perhaps with a small blush brush I could 🙂

Also from Guerlain is a new Meteorites Illuminating pressed powder. Its basically a reformulation of the Illuminating Perles Pressed Powder, but they have now mixed all the colours together into a skin coloured shade.

I’ll come in the same 3 shades, but it’ll all look the same in pan, just performs differently on the skin. I’m quite excited about this one, since I’m a Meteorites powder fan 😀

So with such pretty offerings happening for Spring 2011, I’m sorry friends, I might have to cut back on your Christmas gifts. Gotta save for these pretties you know 😉

Happy Saturday everyone!

Liner is an idea 🙂 I’m loving the look of Chanel spring. I’ve got my eye on the blush and the quint but will have to see it in real life to see how it looks before I decide if I get it. Swatches online seem to vary.

A good idea! Chanel collection won’t come out here until Feb and everything will cost double here. You are lucky that you have no interest in nail polishes though! 😀

YES! Those balls are suicidal. The compact powder is actually a smaller size than the powder I have, and slimmer. I’m told its cheaper too. Will update when I know.

That Lancome blush is a work of art indeed! I so want it but I know I wouldn’t use it. How could I ruin something that pretty? lol. The Guerlain powder looks interesting too.

Yup! I know exactly what you mean. How could we use that Lancome powder! At least the Guerlain powder isn’t too pretty to use 😉

Hi Stella! I didn’t know it was you as we weren’t quite introduced 😀 Still, nice meeting you too. You see why I like the Dior palette? It looks soft and pretty but not many people around the web agree 🙁 Better lock in your reservations for the Guerlain blush before it flies off! I’m not sure when its out but once I know I’ll let you know!
