Hello Ladies!
You may not have noticed but I was away for a spell. But now I’m back 😉 Oh and I’m headed to Kuching for work next week so if you have recs on where to eat the best Kolo Mee in town (slurp!) Or where I can go, do feel free to let me know in the comments 😀
Speaking of Sarawak, I have to tell you about this adorable tub of Fueki Nakayoshi Body Cream. Look at that face… altogether now… Aww…. 😀
What this tub contains is a body cream that is enriched with horse oil. Yes horse oil! I used to go down to Isetan whenever the Hokkaido food fair is on, and one of the items that was very popular was horse oil creams because apparently, horse oil shares a similar lipid structure to humans. They were also very pricey so when I found out that this cream wasn’t, and that it was cute to boot, I was pleased to give it a go.
The texture of the cream isn’t very thick like a body butter, neither is it runny like a lotion. Its sort of in between but the nice thing is that it isn’t sticky. I found out it was good for very dry dehydrated skin, so I used this on my hands when they were dry and you know what? It really helps!
I was slathering on Lucas Papaw Ointment to help the dry peely skin on my hands but it was very sticky so I turned to the Fueki body cream instead which isn’t, and I was very pleased that it helped the skin stop cracking and actually helped with healing too. I’m told its also good for those with sensitive skin or eczema prone skin and for children.
I also took it with me on a long airplane flight and to a cold dry climate, and I was very pleased that it kept the scaly skin away from my legs. I was otherwise in danger of turning into a lizard 😛
So in a nutshell, I’d say, if you suffer from dry sensitive skin, give this Fueki Body Cream a go. The bright tub will make you smile in any case 🙂
Pros: Good for dry skin, Non oily, Non sticky, Non Fragranced
Cons: Hard to find, Have to dig into the tub
I’m about done with this tub and I’m going to pick one up to keep on my office desk. Its just RM35/50g or RM69/140g and I prefer unfragranced hand creams and I could do with a cute object on my desk to cheer me up throughout the day 😀
I was sent this one by Blissful Marketing from whom you can purchase it online if you are in W. Malaysia. If you are in Sarawak (aha! That’s the kolo mee connection!), you can get it from Valletta (Not sure where those stores are but if you do, please leave us a comment!) I’ve also seen it on Sasa.com for those outside of Malaysia but you know how I feel about them!
Have you come across this cute fella? Or perhaps you have tried it? 🙂 I’m sorta wanting to try the rest of the Fueki range now – they’re all so cute!

Fueki Nakayoshi Body Cream retails at RM35/50g and RM69/140g from Blissful Marketing online or Vattella shops in Sarawak
you said eczema! now i need to get this. gotta love the cuteness.
If you’re getting, I might want to tumpang 😛
I saw the word eczema too… can tumpang also ah? 😛
Aww love the packaging! That’s the cutest cream I’ve ever seen. 🙂
Doesn’t it just make you smile? I love it 😀
wow…i m from kuching! 🙂
most of the coffee shops famous for kolo mee are in areas quite far from the city center. so unless you have a car it would be pretty hard to reach 🙂
but then you should try sarawak laksa too! i recommend golden arch with giant prawns! 🙂
Ah yes! Sarawak Laksa too 😀 Where’s Golden Arch btw? I’m trying to wrangle a car rental – need to go food hunting 😀
here’s the google map location of golden arch commercial center 😀
http://maps.google.com.my/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=golden+arch+laksa&sll=1.478441,110.285826&sspn=0.050623,0.104628&ie=UTF8&hq=golden+arch+laksa&hnear=&ll=1.519789,110.336742&spn=0.001582,0.00327&z=19
although most coffee shops in kuching would have stalls selling kolo mee and/or sarawak laksa. not all would be as nice 😛 kuchingites are very proud of their kolo mee/laksa and if you were to ask different people, they would recommend different places for those 2 kuching staple food 😀
if you are staying nearer to the city center..chong chon laksa would be nearer i guess. : http://maps.google.com.my/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=chong+choon+kuching&sll=1.559179,110.342839&sspn=0.006328,0.013078&ie=UTF8&hq=chong+choon&hnear=Kuching,+Sarawak&ll=1.557576,110.353825&spn=0.00303,0.006539&z=18&iwloc=A

enjoy yourself in kch 🙂
Thanks so much! 😀 I spoke to another friend who told me about Chong Choon Cafe also so I guess its a must go 😀 I do realise food is very personal. I guess I just have to hit whichever one I can find 😀
Eh!! Eczema!! *Blinks like the packaging*
haha yeah apparently it helps.
This seriously looks like a pot of glue which I used when I was very small.
Haha even more so in real life! 😀 I was reminded of the glue too. Lucky there was no gluey texture 🙂
oh! I’m from Kuching too….u’ve got to try bidin….that’s our local paku-pakis…with garlic n oyster sauce..or with belachan….and yes..both Golden Arch and Chong Choon are good for laksa…..hope u have a good time food-hunting here 🙂
Ahhh… bidin? I thought it was midin but then I’m not from Sarawak 😀 I love it especially with sambal belacan mmmm…. Thanks for the recs! Do feel free to tell me where else I should go eat 😀
Awww.. so Tweety 😀
Would be perfect if it comes with a mini Tweety spatula 😛
Sarawak Laksa at the Golden Arch is a must try! 😀
The paku pakis is a signature vegetable in Sarawak, I have tried it at Sibu once upon a time though 😛
Ah another vote for Golden Arch (for a minute I thought “Isn’t that McDonalds?!”) I will definitely go there! And yes, this is so Tweety bird right? I so want to get the others 😛
looks most cute! but horse oil?? hmm…still, worth a try – wondering though whether I can find it here or not…time to go sleuthing around! 😀
I don’t know if its the horse oil but its good! 😀 Hands feel so soft and satiny 😀 Where you are, maybe try Sasa (gag)
If you’re from Sibu, then, you can find Valletta at Delta Mall and if I’m not mistaken, somewhere upstairs of Sibu Medical Center. Good luck in finding though!
Thanks for the info! I’m sure it’ll help someone out there 🙂
I was introduce to this HORSE OIL CREAM when I was in Singapore April this year, upon my return to Melb I started searching for it online, after I notice an improvement on my eczema (which I’ve had for over 10 years) only after 2-3 weeks of application. I managed to purchase it online directly from Japan Kenko.com. I purchased 3 bottles, worked out to be AUD$27 each then. Here is a site selling for S$35 for the exact same brand I purchased from Japan http://list.gmarket.com.sg/item/YAKUSHIDO-SON-BAHYU-HORSE-OIL-CREAM-70ML/402584815?sellerview=on
I am on my last bottle, my eczema on my legs hasn’t completely gone away, however it has improved so much, skin isn’t as ‘thick’ and itchy therefore my darkened patch of eczema has lighten. I didn’t think my neglected eczema will ever see improvement as I have given up after trying many diff oil, cream and ointments all those yrs. So do recommend this cream/oil (in it’s pure form – not the ones mixed with all the added ingredients) to anyone whom you know suffers from eczema. Be patient, and apply daily or nightly and I hv faith they will see results.
As Melb weather is very dry, I was using it on my face as well at night during Winter.
