Now for some photos of my jaunts 😀
Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain) was swarming with tourists but I made sure to go because when I first visited many years ago, I tossed a coin and made a wish to return. I did the same this time so I don’t have to wait years before I return. I did use a 50 sen coin this time though – the Euro is much pricer than the Lira was 😛

Visited Pope Benedict at the Vatican City but he wasn’t in. (He did trail me to London though…)

…and I climbed up the Basilica to get a bird’s eye view of the Vatican City and Rome. I love the uniform of the Swiss Guards, don’t you? I think intruders will just laugh so hard, they’d forget what they came to rob. That said, they are supposed to be one of the most elite guards in the world so I think the funny uniform is just a decoy. I’ve been scolded by them in rapid Italian TWICE. BTW to go up the Basilica is €7 by lift and then its another 360 STEPS TO CLIMB! In narrow claustrophobic conditions. Or you can climb all the way (500+ steps) for €5. Oh and no shorts or short skirts in the Church please. Guards WILL stop you – I had to tie my shawl around me as a makeshift sarong and my skirt was just a teensy bit above my knee.

What is Italy without its delicious, filling, scrumptious absolutely freaking mouthwatering FOOD?!

Rainbow over the Palais Royale in Paris (I think). Caught it as I exited the Metro to get to the Louvre Museum. It was breathtaking and awe inspiring.

A la-di-la afternoon with Laduree Macarons or Macaroons. I’m not a fan of desserts or macaroons but these are amazing! Featherlight, bursting with flavour. My favourites are Caramel, Rose Petal and Berries. The Raspberry Mille Feuille was not to be missed!

Had lunch at Jamie’s Italian in London. Its by the “Naked Chef” Jamie Oliver and the food was very good! No, he wasn’t there. I think he didn’t get the memo that I was coming 😛

And what is London without these images that absolutely say it all!

I cannot wait to go back 😀 I hope you enjoyed the photos 🙂
Enjoy the weekend!
Paris B
Oh!! So beautiful!! I especially loved the one with the rainbow!! It’s just breathtaking!! Hopefully i can see that for myself someday!!
I love your black dress!! Lookin chic and sexy there!! 😀 And yes, the Swiss Guard uniform is just hilarious!! XD XD XD
Haha! Its actually a T-shirt and skirt not a dress 😉 but thank you! 😉 the rainbow took my breath away too
Oh Paris! Those Parma Ham and Ravioli! Jamie’s monachelle puttanesca! Yummy~~
I am so hungry now 😛
Happy Saturday 😀
The food was lip smacking! Mmmmm 😀
Oh dear look at that amount of ham…hahahha…such a nice helping of meat =P Macaroons are still a mystery to me as I’ve never tried one….tell me, what does it taste like? =P
The ham is actually paper thin so its not that much 😉 Macaroons are sweet – meringue sandwiches with a flavoured paste. You can get them in many local cafes now. Get one to try next time you see it – just to see what its like 🙂
Looks yummy..you and the food! 😀
Lol! Thanks! Strange how that picture looked pretty good despite me being tired out from the long climb up a narrow winding staircase
