Do you carry a makeup pouch daily? Well, let me be a voyeur and see what’s in your pouch.
But of course, I’ll let you see what’s in mine 🙂

Happy weekend Ladies!
Call it “The Secret” or what you want. But there is a grain of truth in how the universe treats you depending on how YOU feel.
Personally, I’ve experienced some really down moments when all you really want to do is to dig yourself into a hole and hide away from the world and cry. Times when nothing goes right and everything you do goes wrong, people ignore you, you say the wrong things, people get mad at you, you get mad at people, your skin breaks out, your makeup looks crap … its a vicious cycle, if you notice. And the more sorry you feel for yourself, the deeper down you spiral.
When you are mad or down, you will find yourself picking at the smallest thing and blowing it up into something big, be it in reality or in your mind. Everything looks wrong and you start going “Why me?”
Over the recent years, when things start going belly up, I pick myself up and force myself to look on the bright side and to think positive. There are always 2 sides to everything, I’ve learnt. You can wallow in the dark side or look on the brighter side and go from there. There is a lot one can learn from Star Wars LOL!

If you’re wondering what a PaPaw or Paw Paw is, rest your minds – its what we call Papaya. You know that deliciously sweet orange fruit we get in abundance here in the tropics? My Dad loves it and so do I – everytime he comes to KL and I stop by for dinner, he’ll always have a plate of chilled papaya ready and waiting for dessert. Mmm….
But fruits aside, what is the Lucas Papaw Ointment? This is a multi purpose ointment made from fermented papaya which might explain the rather funky smell. Its faint, but its there and if you can get past the faint funky scent, you are in for a treat!
I was using pure vitamin E oil on my lips almost every night for the past 2 years or so. As was wont to happen, the oil ran out and I got too lazy to go out and get another bottle. So, I rooted around in my stash and came across a tube of Lucas PaPaw Ointment that I’d been gifted with a while ago.
I slathered it on my lips and went to bed. I did it every night for 3 days straight. By the 3rd day, I’d noticed something odd. My lips, previously rather dry and lined, even with the regular Vitamin E treatment, were now smoothening out. If you are the sort who wears lipstick a lot, it is noticable because lipstick no longer sinks into the lines. In fact, my lips are now more plumped up, smoother and look so much better!
Now, months later, I love the state of my lips. They are relatively smooth and chap free, lipstick applies like a dream and it looks great! Beats any lipbalm hands down and more. I only use it at night before bed, and even then the results are impressive. I believe the properties of the fermented papaya enzymes react to help the skin “peel” and renew. This is also great for dry skin.

If there is a title for “World’s biggest sceptic” I’d be right up there with Scully. Remember The X-Files? No? Too young then, you won’t need this serum 😛
As a kid I was called “Moon-face” in school. Kids are horrible cruel creatures. But I’ve always had a round face. If my genetics are anything to go by (just look at your parents) I’m going to end up still with a broad round face, but with jowls.
So as I started trying out the Clarins Shaping Facial Lift Serum, I targeted those dreaded jowls I was developing. Gravity is cruel.
Now the ad talks about creating a V shape for your face. Yes its ideal but I’m going to tell you to be realistic and understand your face structure. If your structure is not predisposed to a V shape, no cream in the world can give you that. Plastic surgery might though. So in my case, I have a roundish face but squarish jawline. My sole target was to reduce the pockets around my jawline as it makes my face look “heavy”.
Well, knock me down with a feather! This face sculpting serum helps! Some pictures follow below.
