Make french toast, drizzle on maple syrup. Generous serving of berries, dust with castor sugar, cinnamon shavings and mint leaf to garnish. Om nom nom nom nom!!!
mmmm…. I just like eating them as is. I don’t get fresh berries very often so I savour them… every last bite!
Yum!!! How come our Pasar Malams don’t sell them?? Its so difficult to find this here in Penang! 🙁
And when you can it costs a bomb right? It used to be that way too here but lately I’ve been seeing cherries and blueberries at the local pasar malam. Cherries are still pricey but I couldn’t resist these blueberries!
i love blueberries too! i think i love all berries. which pasar malam u got them from?
Same! I love all berries and all stone fruit – they had apricots too at only RM10 but I didn’t buy. I go to the Bangsar pasar malam on Sundays 😀
LOL Oh Paris! Of course this is beauty related 😛
Blueberries! Yum yum.. but do you take together with the skin? 😀
Er… yes la how to peel these wee little berries?! I just wash them and pop them in my mouth 😛
LOL 😀
LOL 😀
I will not do the peeling if it is cleansed with those fruits/vege wash 😛
No wonder you keep on wanting to go pasar malam on Sunday evenings! 😛
haha… I go and do my weekly marketing now I discovered prices of raw food aren’t as pricey there as I thought they would be 😀
now that’s a good price! maybe i’ll bump into u sunday night in bangsar nao 😛
haha! i’ve seen cherries, but not blueberries! i foresee sunday dinner is gonna be blueberry feast! 😀
haha yes we might just bump into each other and you can see how much of a homebody I am on weekends 😛
that is cheap! i saw organic store selling for RM30 a small pck. the fruit stall in subang selling fro RM20 a pack.
Yup blueberries are usually so expensive I don’t indulge but at RM8 a box, come to mama! 😀 I should have gotten more… noms.
Can’t wait till it’s blueberry season again, it should very soon! 🙂 I still have 1kg frozen ones in my freezer. Bought them last summer and they’re still… ‘fresh’. Haha.
mmm… that would be delicious in muffins, cakes or pies! 😀 If I had access to affordable blueberries I’d be stuffing my face all the time 😀
I bought 3kg 😀 I’ve made blueberry jam, blueberry sauce for pancakes, blueberry muffins…. I remember paying something around 7EUR – that’s like RM32 at that time! When they’re not in season, you can still find them in the supermarket, 250g for 4EUR. Not cheap at all.
ahh…. I want to make all that too! I’d probably have to make do with er… mango jam, sauce etc? 😉 Fruits that aren’t in season are never worth eating, but when they are… gorge away! 😀
I agree. Make the blueberry syrup for pancakes. The floral (surprising yes?) smells coming out from your pot is heavenly. About 1 cup of berries, 1/2 cup sugar and just enough water to cover it all in a pot. Simmer till the berries pop/soften. Eat hot. If u’ve had enough of syrup and there’s left over, pop it into the fridge and you’ll get blueberry jam. =)
of course it is beauty related! more important than what you put on your face is what you put into it. 🙂
I buy blueberries when I want a change away from grapes. haha, but I don’t specially make sure I eat it regularly, though I do try to maintain my intake of anti-oxidant rich foods or green tea. =))
I am not sure if it’s because there is air-con in my rented place in M’sia, but my skin is becoming so nice!!
Laugh lines greatly reduced and my father commented on a pink glow when I fly back.
But I feel it may be the slightly different lifestyle of having the choice to eat better foods, since I do the grocery myself. :P:P:P
