Mom Reviews: Vichy LiftActiv CxP Lifting Day and Night Moisturizer

May 13, 2010 Paris B 5 Comments

When Mom last reviewed the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting cream, it was already on its last legs and she was using it so sparingly. So although I’d started on the range, I handed over the Vichy LiftActiv CxP Lifting day and night cream to her so she didn’t have to skimp on her moisturizer.

The Vichy LiftActiv CxP range is targeted at those 40 years and above so I figured Mom would be a good test case. The thing is, Mom’s always taken good care of her skin from way back and so saggy skin isn’t quite a primary concern for her. Besides, the Olay cream had helped her so I was more interested to see if the Vichy cream could maintain it. This review is based on my interview with her.

Review of the Vichy LiftActiv CxP Lifting Day and Night Creams

“After about 2 months on the Vichy LiftActiv CxP Lifting Day and Night creams, I’m quite happy with it. The creams leave my skin feeling supple and I don’t have any saggy skin. It delivers sufficient moisture to my skin and I like how the creams feel – soft and velvety.”

“I like that there is minimal fragrance but I cannot see drastic changes to my skin for the lifting and anti-wrinkle effect.”

PB Notes: Mom isn’t looking any more like a prune (will she appreciate me saying this? 😛 ) and in fact her skin is looking great. But Mom takes supplements and has a variety of other magical potions so I cannot say its fully attributed to just these creams.

Will you repurchase these creams?

“Yes if there are deals on them. They aren’t as expensive as higher end brands and anti wrinkle creams are usually more expensive anyway. But having to use 2 separate creams for night and day can make it a bit expensive for some people.”

Currently the Vichy LiftActiv CxP Lifting Day and Night creams retail at RM149/50ml each.

Pros: Feels comfortable on the skin, Night cream is moisturizing and keeps skin feeling supple

Cons: Comes in day and night formula which can be a little pricey when added up

PB says

Like me, Mom likes to experiment so she did say that she might alternate her purchases of the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting cream with this Vichy one because for some reason, she finds that it is better for her skin this way so her skin does not get “bored”. She does prefer the Vichy LiftActiv CxP Night Cream so she might just repurchase that one in future.

Either way, they are affordable for me to replace for her… unlike the Lancome Genifique serum that she keeps dropping hints about 😛 I see a package looming so maybe its time for me to do something about it LOL…
