Fitflop Pietra to flip flop my way in style!

May 2, 2010 Paris B 29 Comments

Ever since my first Fitflop slippers, I have been itching to get another pair. Whilst the pair I own is comfortable and I wear them everywhere, the vain pot in me wants something that’s just as comfortable but with a bit of style.

FitFlop Pietra sandals
  • Save

So when I saw the new Spring/Summer FitFlop Pietra sandal, my vain little heart went pit-a-pat. This is what I’ve been waiting for!

Its got the same sandal base as the regular Walkstar Fitflops with patented microwobbleboard to tone your legs (and bum) while you walk. Being of a more stylish design, the base is also slimmer which is perfect for me, because my feet are narrow. I hope the arch fits in the right place because part of the reason I love my FitFlops is the arch support it gives me since I’m flat footed. It allows me to walk for hours on end in it.

I love the look of it in bronze… or maybe white. Then again, Ms. Practical says white is absolutely impractical for tramping around so perhaps bronze will have to be the order of the day.

Next question. When on earth is it going to get to Malaysia? Granted I haven’t gone to check in Isetan (where I bought mine before) so perhaps its already in and I didn’t know.

Its also likely to cost a small bomb for a pair of slippers. I’m estimating something in the region of RM350. But heck. I’d get it anyway because I love my Fit Flops! Now let me wait for a sale before I indulge 😛

Have you worn FitFlops and do you like them? Are you wondering if they really tone your legs or is it just talk? Read my previous review on FitFlops to see why I like these slippers or sandals over any other.

If anyone has seen the FitFlop Pietra sandals in Malaysia or Singapore please let me know where you saw them and the price – thank you! 🙂

Hey you are in luck. I got mine on friday at the Parkson pre-sale in Pg. It retails at RM318 ! I got the bronze color too. so maybe you should head over to the Parkson counters in kl to see if the stocks are in. i like the footbed better for the Pietra, my mom wanted to get the black one, but she had wider feet, so she opted for another model instead. by the way, in Penang they don’t have the white colored one ,but they have a stunning pewter color !

Woohoo! I’ll definitely go and check them out next week 🙂 Probably at Isetan – I’m more partial towards them 😀 Thanks for the heads up!

Pietra certainly look nice… I actually got mine in Singapore at SGD109.90 and it’s way cheaper here. For women’s fitflops it’s kinda over priced a bit. In Singapore the price for men’s and women’s are the same. If you do see the ones you like you should go and get them in Singapore… I’m another another 2 pairs when I go next month 😛

Yeah I never understood why the men and women’s were priced about the same when the men’s shoes are so much bigger! I guess its because women are more willing to spend? 😉

Sighhh I am wondering too… Even like watches… ladies are much smaller but still they are the same price… How unfair? 🙁

I love fitflops seriously… I hurt my back recently and I can’t wear anything else but these… Thank goodness I have them or else I’ll be bed ridden or home bound… So boring… Though it’s a little hefty but for health’s sake I wouldn’t mind. It will last you years…

I bought mine from Isetan Singapore for SGD109.90. That is the most expensive pair already. Converted actually much cheaper than getting them in kl. I recommend you getting them from Singapore Paris 😛 They have so many styles there. I’m sure Pietra will be there soon 🙂

Oh dear I hope your back is getting better now? Glad to know the slippers helped. When I hurt my toes a while back these were all I could wear too! I’ll be sure to check out the FitFlops in Singapore – I’ll have my mole there do the recon for me 😉

Thank you so much for your concern Paris 🙂 My back is getting better but off an on here and there there’s a light twitch sometimes. I’m still afraid to go to the Chinese Doctor… I’m so scared of bad news 🙁 I know I have to go soon but I’m still thinking about it.

Hahaha 😛 Cute hmmm I’m going down this month end and I am getting at least 2 pairs! Seriously that’s already first on my list. I won’t miss out on them 😛

i didn’t know you are a fan of fitflops!!! i am too. but yours look way better than mine! WTH!!! why didn’t i see these when i was back in KL??? i didn’t know these were featured on Oprah either as i haven’t watched her show for ages…

i enjoy coming to your site to read about trendy things as i never catch up with the trend and your site is such a great resource. (sometimes it’s bad as it creates lemmings.) i think Fitflops work well for me. not sure of its function on tightening backside buy my husband said they do!

    great post once again!

i was talking about the pair you have (in the other post). i reckon i’d be in time for the new collection when i get back to KL. we are rather slow (but good for me!)

i hope the price drops though. by the way, the soles of the fitflops don’t wear off as easily as any other sandals/sleepers i have tried. all of mine are still in mint conditions. therefore, i don’t mind footing out the high investment as in the end, they last longer than others and i actually save $$$. 🙂

Apparently the new collection is here! I haven’t seen it yet but if I drop by an Isetan I’ll check it out. My pair looks practically brand new too and its already been quite a while plus I’ve worn it everywhere 😀

Oh this has no connection but then Paris just wanted to let you know that Parkson now has FitFlops too. You can actually check them online from the official website. The nearest is the Parkson Subang Jaya 🙂

May i know where these are available in Singapore? What’s the price range? My current slip ons are so worn out. I need to get a pair like this. These look like they will last and last and more importantly, comfy. Looks absolutely fabulous.

Hi liesl, hope you don’t mind me to interrupt. I bought mine at Isetan Orchard Road. My pair was the most expensive one which is at SGD109.90 coz it has sequins and the thong part is leather. I’m not sure abt the others. There are cheaper ones as well where the thong part is nylon. You can actually refer to the official website. They list out all their merchants. 🙂 Hope that helps

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
