So, what’s your hand cream of the day. Or perhaps I should say, What hand cream are you presently using? Mine is Sugar Grapefruit by Love + Toast.
Love & Toast is such a cute name for a brand no? Another little indie brand like TokyoMilk and incidentally by the same founder.
I’ve got the Sugar Grapefruit hand creme with me a lot because its a great little hand cream. The texture is light and it absorbs quickly without any sticky feel and best of all, it smells wonderful.
If you like citrus scents and grapefruit scents you’d love this one. The tube comes to you sealed. There is a thin bit of foil you have to puncture, but here’s the problem. There is nothing to puncture the foil with.
Unlike some caps that have that pointed bit at the end, the cap for the Love & Toast Hand Cream is flat. Bit of a bummer that. I had to use another cap to puncture the foil. This might be something the owners need to think about.
Otherwise, the box packaging is adorable as you can see below.
As I said above I like the texture because my hands don’t feel greasy after use. It seems to have helped with some dry parts of my hands where skin was peeling, but that is with regular use over about a week. If you have very dry hands, regular use might help soften the skin but do not expect instant results. That said, there is one instant result here – a lovely light citrus grapefruit scent that will have you sniffing your hands like a glue addict.
Ok that was NOT a good image eh? 😛
Love & Toast or also known as Love + Toast hails from the USA but their website is still under construction. In Malaysia and Singapore, you can pick yours up from Soap n Sorbet for S$19/35g. For those who are particular, the products are paraben free and are not tested on animals.
Pros: Light texture, Absorbs quickly, Not Sticky, Sugar Grapefruit smells lovely
Cons: No way to puncture the foil cover
I’m no good with hand cream – I hardly ever carry any around with me and I always forget to reapply – but I’m a little bit more diligent with this one. I think its that addictive grapefruit scent.
*sniff sniff* 😉
What’s your hand cream du jour?
Paris B

i had wanted to buy this, but kept putting off! haha! 😛
am so glad it does smells grapefruit! cuz i know some doesn’t 🙂
*a lovely light citrus grapefruit scent that will have you sniffing your hands like a glue addict.* I LOL at this one cuz I do it all the time when I use rosey/ grapefruity scents 😛
Yes and the best part – no artificial smelling fragrance. Sniffing my hands as I write 😛
OooO… I don’t use handcreams…: hahaha. Never thought I’d need them. ^.^ I like citrus scents though!! Gods, Psychology lectures bore me to hell.
Citrus scents perk me right up! Don’t know what I’d do without them
*admiring the color* I am using the love and toast gin blossom too, smells awesome to the point tht i feel like swallowing the tube.
Cute stuff right? I’m laughing at you trying to swallow the tube – not edible mind you!
I love the one that I have – it’s subtle but effective. The scent is amazing too. 🙂
Its nice to have products that actually smell good and work great eh? 🙂
I’ve been eyeballing this for such awhile now! hahahah I’m so going to delve into your handbag and sample this cream next time we meet. Consider yourself warned! =D
You are going to SO LOVE this! I’ll be sure to bring it next time we meet up. Have you tried the new Crabtree & Evelyn Citrus hand cream? Its out in stores but I didn’t have time to try it yet.
My current fave is Roger & Gallet’s handcream in Bamboo. Love! 😀
Bamboo! Does it have a scent? What does bamboo smell like anyway? 😛
My goodness, I’m really into handcreams thanks to my dry and allergic hands. This looks and sounds absolutely fabulous! I’ve tried quite a lot of different hand creams, but most don’t do much for my super dry hands. Right now I’m using a boring dermatological skincare one called Balneum Intensive. It’s REALLY boring, no scent etc. but is very very moisturizing. 😀
Honestly, the best hand creams have no smell because they are the industrial strength type! Sounds like a great product you have there 😀
arrgghh!! tempt me even more why don’t you…especially since now i can easily get my paws on it! :p ok ok, time to pay yet ANOTHER visit to soap n sorbet…heehee…
LOL Only in April m’dear! 😉 I bring tomorrow and you can try 😀
So cute la the packaging =)
I looooovvveeee bath & body~ Too bad they only have it in US… it smells soooooo good…
I’m using Marks & Spencers~ It smells great and it’s not sticky!
Ah Marks & Spencer! I used to use their shower gels and lotions but not the hand cream.
i’ve been lemming this one for quite some time cos i’m a big fan of grapefruit scents! glad you reviewed it, i really must get a tube!
Its got a pretty smell. If you get it, do share how you like it 🙂
What an adorable little thing! It sounds good enough to eat! I love Jurlique’s Rose Hand Cream, as well as OPI’s oil, but would love to check this out. 🙂
Never tried Jurlique but is the rose smell very strong? I’m not very good with strong rose scents.
O so love hand creams! Love smelling my hands after I put some!
hi can i know how do you get this hand cream? can you help order it for me together with your purchase? if you ever want to order again please tell me ya.
thank you..
it really smells yummy from what you had written
You can order it from soapnsorbet.com – they ship internationally.
Loving the Love & Toast. I am using their hand cream in the gin blossom scent and it really is lovely. =) Like you said, not sticky, easily absorbed, and a wonderful scent. I used a kitchen knife to puncture my tube, but I do agree: bit of a disappointment that the cap isn’t ‘tipped’ to puncture the tube.
