Lancome Oscillation Powerfoundation – Feel the vibration?

Lancome Oscillation Powerfoundation

Lancome, I thought your Oscillation mascara trumped your competitor in terms of performance. But did you have to go and set up an Oscillation foundation?

No, no a million times NO! Enough of all these gimmicks already! Lancome does great products. I know of at least 8 Lancome products I like. Please focus on that not on gimmicks.

The Lancome Oscillation Powerfoundation isn’t new. Its been out since last year when I was horrified and I remain horrified at it. Not only is it expensive at US$48 a pot, you have to buy the applicator refill at US$5 a piece. And you’d better buy those refills because I’m sure it’ll get icky after a while.

To be honest, I expect the technology to work and work well. Imagine not having to buff your own foundation but have the oscillating mechanism do all the work to get your skin looking smooth and flawless. I also expect that the foundation formula is sublime.

But I dunno. I’m not one for gimmicks of this nature. Once is a novelty, twice is overkill.

I’m just glad that at time of writing, Lancome Malaysia is NOT bringing this one in. If they change their minds, I’ll scream 😛

the price just freaks me off! -_- I’m not sure about others but I prefer my own hand “vibration” hahaha =) Also, it makes people lazy to make around with their limbs. hahaha 😛

I’m sure the finish would be much smoother done mechanically but I just didn’t like the whole vibrating thing again

There is actually a Youtube beauty guru video using this foundation, and I was like “OOO… cool!” but in the video, it produced a HUGE layer on her face, so yeah… Wow. About USD 50, eh? As an Economics student, I can definitely understand why, though, hahahaha. You sell a gimmick no one has, you can discriminate the price and jack it up to sky-high values. Yep…

Oh, and here’s the video I was talking about:

I think you’d like the emphasis on Lancome products!!

Sorry about the Econs thingy, I had a very intense “discussion”, shall we say, with my classmates and lecturer this morning.

Michelle Phan was employed by Lancome to do their videos. I reckon that’s why the Oscillation foundation has gotten so much news recently and why that vid is Lancome based 🙂

I am on the verge of buying it. But your post seems to wake me up! haha, I don’t even use foundation in the first place. And even if I do, there are so many good and cheaper ones, that I can mix with my own hands. Wouldn’t take more than a minute. Glad I read your post… I am not handicapped, guess it’s not that difficult to mix your own foundation. haha.

I’m not sure about “mixing foundation”. I thought the Oscillation foundation was literally tap on face and buff it in?

I would’ve bought this – I’m a sucker like that, haha – if only to see how it would work on, but price tag is a little much. Wasn’t a fan of their mascara, though.

oh my, so makeup in the future (for my grandkids) ..I imagine they having a robot who does everything for them! whole makeup shebang! and that removes the happiness on makeup application! I am intrigued to try this but I’m really a bit surprised they do the same thing for foundation!

Yes. In the future your kids will just step into a booth, press a few buttons and come out fully made up. Its the future bay-beh! 😛

I am actually still very much interested in getting this. i saw michelle phan use this in one of her video and it looked very much like she have liquid foundation on. and she really didn’t nothing of sorts to buff it in. hmm… i’m actually surprised you don’t like it, cos i know i didn’t like the Oscillation mascara’s clumpy formula.

Nope I don’t like the idea. The idea of an oscillating mascara was fun. But then when you have oscillating other things, it becomes overkill to me.

I kinda like the idea of an oscillating brush…hehe. I know I’m a sucker for all things gimmicky but I’d like to try a morning putting on makeup and sleep at the same time…hahaha.

I’m curious to try this but the high price is putting me off. And I also dislike the applicator. It gets dirty pretty soon and I can’t be bothered to keeping buying the refills. I’m sure it works great but for me, it’s not worth the price tag for me.

Saw this on YouTube and thought it was kinda weird. I’m not a Lancome fan and only have one product I like from them, the La Base Pro primer. Tried various mascaras, foundations, skin care and sunscreen… all just “eh” to me.

Lancome is pretty much hit or miss sometimes. I think this is more of hype and employing Michelle Phan to use it in the videos just jacks up interest in it 😛

I’m not sure about coverage though. I’m sure it’ll give a flawless look with mechanical buffing.

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
