We are just about a month away from Valentine’s Day (need I tell you when that is?) which means, 1 more month of letting your Valentine know just which scent to get you.

If you are anything like me, receiving random fragrances as a gift is both a boon and a bane because you may not know if it suits you, and if people decide to take the easy way out and get you something you already like or have, it gets boring right?

I’ve been broadening my fragrance horizon and recently, I was introduced to Lancome’s Magnifique. This scent has been released only recently, and you might remember the romantic ad on tv with all that red swirling around. I only however, had the chance to smell it at duty free recently.

You know what the first thought that popped into my head was?

Lychee!

There is a sweet tangy top scent that truly reminded me of lychees. A friend I travelled with said “Fruit!” without being specific but agreed with me later that “fruit” referred to “lychee” 😛

However, instead of staying sweet and fruity, it mellows down to a lovely warm scent on the skin (thank goodness!) that isn’t overpowering. I did not get sick of it in the confines of an airplane which is a true test of perfume! Magnifique is pretty much representative of the colour of the bottle it comes in. It smells like something red should. Vibrant, sensual and warm.

Definitely the scent of a woman. 😉 Wanna try it for yourself?
