YSL Love Collection powder and Bliss Blood Orange set from Strawberrynet

December 18, 2009 Paris B 15 Comments

StrawberryNET.com has an extra special additional 10% off their Christmas sets so I knew it was a good time to pick up something I’d been eyeing for a while. 2 somethings actually 😛

One is the Bliss Blood Orange body wash set and the other is the YSL Love Collection compact powder. The latter is simply stunning! This YSL Love Collection compact powder was limited edition from a couple of years back.

Doesn’t it look so cute? You are supposed to be able to use it all over as a face brightener or as compact powder. However, I tested this the day after I got it (yes I defiled it!) and the pink heart makes such a gorgeous pink blush! Its light and sheer and so pretty! Sigh… 🙂

As a compact powder, its hard to manage to find a brush small enough to just pick up the powder surrounding the blush (although a sponge puff comes with it), but if you use a large fluffy brush and a light hand, and pick up the pink and powder and apply all over, there are some skin brightening qualities. The powder is super fine and light and makes my skin feel so nice! Do let me know if you want a more indepth review on this one because its not available in stores anymore although you can still find it online. RRP was US$60 but I got it for US$32 on StrawberryNET.com (sale).

The other item I picked up is the Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper bath set.

I’d say that get this if you like strong citrus scents because this one is strong! The cleaning properties are alright but the scent is an interesting spicy citrus mix that is rejuvenating especially if you’ve had a long day. Its also a great pick me up in the mornings.

The body butter, despite its name, is light and absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling icky and sticky. My skin felt soft and smooth after using this so I’m really happy because I’ve got a bad habit of not applying body lotion. Also, fortunately unlike the shower gel, the scent in the body butter is light so it isn’t cloying. I believe Bliss is a spa in New York and Bliss products are also available at Sephora ION Orchard Singapore. I saw it there but it was a little pricey so did not buy. Thankfully so because I paid about US$14.50 for this set on StrawberryNET.com (sale)! I think there are a few more sets available and they came gift-wrapped for Christmas! 🙂

Buying from Strawberrynet.com

I’ve received some enquiries in comments about my experience buying from Strawberrynet.com. I don’t know about others, but I’ve only had good experiences shopping with them.

Delivery is quick (I get my packages within 1 week usually) and they always come by Registered Post for Free Shipping so its trackable and relatively safe. I’ve never been taxed for my purchases and I’ve never had it held over by our local customs.

Do note that prices of some products might be higher than retail locally so you should know your prices before you shop online. However, these prices may be lower than elsewhere in the world because its a borderless world online anyway.

I especially like StrawberryNET.com for the deals they occasionally have, like now, where you get extra discounts on top of your loyalty discounts. Yes I’m at the maximum loyalty discount of 10% and add to that the sale prices and the extra 5% off for purchases of 3 items or more and well, I’m a happy camper! 😀

I guess Christmas came a little early for me this year. Did you indulge in the StrawberryNET.com sale? I think its on for a few days more 🙂

I’ve always had good experience with Strawberrynet myself! And I’ve been lurking around their deals too! 🙂 Love the YSL Love Collection powder you purchased, so cute!

I’ve ordered from Strawberrynet & had good experience from them too. But recently switched to Acmamall coz’ could also pay with Maybank2u. The only thing they have to organise their payment records coz’ even though after I’ve received the payment was made confirmation later on I’ll receive another e-mail saying that they’ve noticed that I didn’t complete my checkout & invoice number is a different one from the one that went through. But I just ignore this e-mail & usually will receive my items within the period that was listed when I’ve ordered the products. I use L’Occitane products & I live in Melaka I find this very convenient even though the discount is only 20-30%.

      Hi Ginger

Thanks for your input. I found prices on Acmamall higher hence my preference to shop on Strawberrynet. I found they had similar items. At the end of the day any saving is good saving no? 😉

ya..i agree. when my 1st time ordered product from acmamall and already made payment, suddenly they told me the product is out of stock! that’s weird. not a nice experience even though they return back my money.

btw, i love shopping at sasa.com but they charge usd9 for shipping unless u buy more than usd75 then they will give free ship. but i realize shipping with strawberrynet is faster than sasa plus loyalty discount that they have.

They just launched the new NCEF Night Mask, an ultra-regenerating sleeping mask that promises to rejuvenate tired skin in just 7 nights! Well That sounds right up my alley! 😮‍💨
I highly recommend the Meso Mask as well for a rejuvenating, hydrating and smoothing boost to the skin. Its a good brand, that I’ve tried in the past and I’m glad we now have it here! 😊

Popped out of my hermitage to visit the amazing Jo Popped out of my hermitage to visit the amazing Jo Malone installation at Mid Valley Megamall 😍 Jo Malone has always made gifting an experience, both for giver and receiver, and this is what their Jobots are here for - to help you find that perfect gift whether for a friend, family, or for yourself each time you manage to dodge the C-bullet 😆
Go check out the Jobots at Mid Valley Megamall Centre Court & experience their signature hand and arm massages, gift boxing, personalised engraving of your perfume bottles & candle jars & play with the vending machine. You could get lucky!
No prizes for guessing which Jobot installation was my favourite! The one with the dog of course! They also had a key chain with a dog. So. Bloody. Cute!!
And after so many years finally got a photo with event organizer extraordinaire @cyrus.chin because we didn’t get the white & beige memo and came instead in (unplanned) matching sunny coral instead 😂
It felt good to have makeup on, dress up and go out for a tiny little bit, and meet people I haven’t seen in literally years! Also to enjoy the scents (hard to smell with a mask on though) and the visual delights. Go check it out. They’re there at the Centre Court until Sunday 3 July.

Not everyday I wear something decent (I still live in crummy t-shirt, shorts & sweaty athleisure most days) so it merited a photo! 😆
I put on a full face of makeup today and when it came to my eyeshadow, I had a brain fart moment and forgot where they were! 😂 Looked through 3 drawers before I saw them and even then I thought “Did I ever have THIS MANY?!” I guess I do. And before you ask, yes they’re all expired 🫢
