Before I go on, let me show you my favourite picture I took at the launch of the Valisere En Vogue Winter 09/Spring ’10 show. She’s not my favourite local model but damn! I loved this shot! 😀
Not doctored in any way. I love it! Now that I’m done preening… lets get on with the show! 😀
Valisere is French. So is Paris 😛 The city I mean. And we can all associate french luxury lace with pretty dainty gorgeous underwear right? So when Valisere launched their En Vogue collection for Winter 2009/Spring 2010 in a Parisian setting, you bet I was there – front row center ready to gawk at the lithe bouncy models… ahem! I meant pretty lacey unmentionables 😛 It was my first time at a lingerie fashion show after all!
Part of the theme of the show was to take the “under” out of underwear and get the too-pretty-to-hide lingerie out in the open. Did it work? Well, not for me because I’m not about to stroll down Jalan Bukit Bintang with nothing but a gorgeous lace bra top and jeans unlike Ris Low 😛 Besides scaring the general populace, I might just get arrested for public indecency! So, I’d keep my pretty lacey things under my clothes, thank you.
All that said, that turquoise lace corset in the bottom left corner won’t look out of place under a corporate suit will it? 😉
And what is a lingerie show without showing a little SDM 😛
Whoa! Did you see that whip? I could just see the men in the audience going “Ooh spank me! Me!” 😛 I can see someone rocking that purple lace back top and perhaps that black corset top for a party or hidden under a severe suit … or maybe just in the bedroom yes? 😉
Just in case you were interested, Valisere is under Triumph – Valisere is the luxury lingerie arm that brings the woman out in you, while Triumph is for everyday comfort. You can find Valisere in major department stores but be prepared to pay for luxury. Remember, luxury never comes cheap. Prices start from RM129 (for a slip of a G-string lace thong) and go up to RM499 (for a corset top). Chorus it now – Yeouch!!!
I went to check out a Valisere counter after the show, just to finger the quality and take a peep at the prices. I picked my jaw off the ground once I’d done my reconnoitre but there you have it. French luxury lace lingerie at its best!
So… is it time to drop some hints for Christmas? 😉
Stay beautiful

I love that turquoise lace corset. I think I’ll dig mine out and wear it under a dress for work tomorrow, complete with stockings and all 😉

I can vouch that the Valisere bras are super luxurious, comfy and most importantly….. made for Asian bodies. Few gals know that Asian bodies are much narrower than Caucasians and the likes of Women’s Secret, La Senza and the lots are not designed for the narrow bodied Asians….the results, breasts that are pushed wde apart, not pretty. Back to Valisere…. their bras will help perk, push and lace it up nice & perky! Keeps it in nice shape. And their sizes seem to be catered for Asians, having even the sometimes elusive 32D or 32E. That said, I wished it didn’t have to cost RM250+ min. for a nice one. Wait for the sale. Parkson has some pretty good ones usually eg. bra fairs or whatever. I don’t work for Triumph or anything but I’m just too happy to share my bra holy grail!! Happy sunday everyone!

Hi Michelle
Thanks for the input! I must agree that I cannot wear pretty lace things from most brands due to sizes so I’ll look at Valisere the next time I’m looking for something pretty and lacey 😉

Ooooh, nice shot of you-know-who, PB! 😛
I like my pretty lacey underthings too, but so far I’m not prepared to pay such jaw-dropping prices for it…

Hey Rinnah
Thank you! I knew you’d appreciate it 😉 I’m not quite in that price league too! 😛
