Get intensive with Cellnique Intensive Hydrating Complex

I’m actually quite happy with the Cellnique Intensive Hydrating Complex. Does that tell you anything? 🙂 This is a serum that can just as easily be used as a light moisturizer, which is how I use it. I tried using it as a serum under moisturizer, but it felt a little heavy so I stuck to using it on its own – worked pretty well, even in an air-conditioned room 🙂

The serum comes in a 30ml bottle with a dropper system, and the hydrating complex is a crystal clear light gel serum. The texture is very light and watery when applied and can also be used on the eye area.

You are recommended to use 4-6 drops of Intensive Hydrating complex on your face but when I tried that, it was just too much for me. So I only use about 3 drops since its so emollient – feels quite enough.

I drop 3 drops into the palm of my hand, spread it then spread it on my face and pat it in until it dries. Once it dries, it does not feel sticky so that’s nice.

I used it for about 3 weeks and it was good. No breakouts and the gel was very moisturizing – not quite surprising since it contains hyaluronic acid that helps bind in moisture to the skin. I still use it every so often when I spot the little dropper bottle on my dresser.

A 30ml bottle of Cellnique Intensive Hydrating Complex retails for RM189 (US$67 online) and can be purchased online or at Cellnique salons and counters. Pricey I must admit but still more affordable than some other serums out there that might not quite work as moisturizers too.

Pros: Serum and Moisturizer in one, Light texture, Keeps skin moisturized

Cons: A little pricey

Ingredient list: Purified Water (Aqua purificata), Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA, Betaine, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Proline, Hydrolyzed Algin, Serine, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Alanine, Rosehips (Rosa aff. rubiginosa) Seed Oil, Calendula (Calendula officinalis) Oil, Arginine, Threonine, Glycolipids, Glutamic Acid, Panthenol, Lysine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Stay beautiful,

Paris B

      Hi Irenekayz

I believe B-Liv is Cellnique’s pharmacy brand – less potent than Cellnique and more affordable.
