Elianto Sparkling Diva Nail Polish – Indigo Shine

December 16, 2009 Paris B 16 Comments

Whee! I’m on a nail polish high!

Must be all those fumes teehee… 🙂

The nail colour du jour is Indigo Shine from the new Elianto Sparkling Diva Nail Polish line. I swiped this on last night because the colour reminded me of a Shiseido Maquillage nail polish I tried on in Japan.

I tested the Maquillage nail polish but couldn’t bring myself to pay for a sparkling navy blue colour I knew I couldn’t get used to seeing on my nails. So I let it go. Little did I know that Elianto’s Sparkling Diva Indigo Shine is as pretty and so much cheaper at a mere RM10!

The pretty thing about this particular colour is that it changes colour depending on the light you are under. Last night, when I painted my nails under yellow lighting at home, it looked blue-green like a Verdigris green which I liked. Today, in the sunlight, its a deep sparkly navy blue that is absolutely gorgeous!

The navy blue reminds me of the dress worn by Yvaine in Stardust – remember that movie? 🙂

Did I tell you that I actually found a dress in that exact shade of shimmery navy blue that Christmas? It fit me to a T and looked absolutely delish! But I did not buy it because I couldn’t find an ocassion for it – boo! It would have gone so prettily with my nails this year!

And did you notice how the colour of my nails looked different in both pictures? Yeah, they look that way in real life too – really quite pretty.

2 layers gets you a colour that’s pretty much what you get in the bottle. I have some other colours and I can’t wait to see how they turn out too! I do have one gripe – The colour is NOT Indigo. It is nowhere near indigo. I could have understood if they called it Verdigris but not indigo which tends towards purple. Still, sementics aside, I’d forgive them that for the RM10 they cost because the rest of the colours aren’t quite mis-named.

The polish dries quickly enough and the brush applies smoothly enough. I guess I wasn’t too picky because it was affordable. Get this for some festive looking nails – the rest of the colours are just as yummy!

Pros: Affordable, Pretty sparkly colours

Cons: The navy blue is not Indigo but otherwise no real complaint

I don’t do nail art, but I can just see this gorgeous shade of navy blue as the base of some pretty astro looking nail art like the night sky. I’m not that adventurous to try but if the nail art divas like Nikki or Prettybeautiful would oblige me with some night sky looking nail art, that would be wonderful! 😉

Navy blue has been my most adventurous shade on my nails to date. What’s yours? 😀

      Hi Pinkcloud

Hmm… I used it over a base and with a top coat so it lasted long enough – chipped a little after a week but then I’m careless with my nails. I hope you like this colour too!
