Body Art Steals the show at The A Cut Above Christmas Soiree

December 20, 2009 Paris B 1 Comment

Yep just like the title says. It was the amazing body art that stole the show at the A Cut Above Christmas Soiree. Well, that and the amazing talents of local beatboxer Shawn Lee. That boy is a sound machine and sound effects machine all in one!

After ogling the intricate hair dos what captured the attention of the public was the body art. What you see are not Cheongsam but body paint on the bodies of the models. Since the theme was Shanghai Moulin Rouge, cheongsam were the order of the day.

From afar, we initially thought the models were wearing dresses that were too tight for them, therefore showing off the dreaded VPL (Visible Panty Line) but when we erm… looked closer, it wasn’t just VPL showing, but the whole P! Haha… I was impressed anyway and yes the white sequinned creation was pure body art.

What hair academy show would be complete without showing you some of the intricate hair dos by Winnie Loo, owner of A Cut Above and her students? Pictured were just some of the creations.

I don’t think I registered much else after seeing the body art girls. The artists deserved the full applause that night! For hairdos that night, my favourite were the 2 porcupine looking creations – one by Winnie Loo and another by her student. Heck I’m not that creative so I can but ogle 🙂

Aren’t you impressed by the body art too? 🙂

excellent pics you got there! I haven’t had the chance to even view my pics yet but I won’t be surprised that they’re all blurry…
Lol! I really thought the models were having a terrible case of VPL :p
