Review: Madara Regenerating Night Cream

November 6, 2009 Paris B 2 Comments

I could have lumped this review with the introduction to the to Madara EcoCosmetics but I chose not to. The reason is because I found this night cream worthy of a special mention.

I’ve been using the Madara Regenerating Night Cream for over 2 weeks now and my skin seems to be happy with it. Granted I’ve gotten my skin to a texture I’m very happy with now after feeding it sufficient moisture so my main concern with using this night cream was whether it would break me out.

It did not. However, I must warn you that this cream is quite thick and heavy on the skin. So use sparingly. After some experimentation, I now use slightly less than a regular pea size – its quite sufficient for this cream. If you use too much, your face might feel oily and greasy. If you use just the right amount, it sinks right into your skin and feels nice.

The cream is supposed to help prevent skin aging, smooth out fine lines and keep skin hydrated and nourished. One of the ingredients is Hyaluronic acid which helps skin hold moisture and also tomato for its lycopene. There is a slight flower scent which is quite nice.

The packaging is awesome as with all Madara products. I like that whole zen look and I like the fact the cream comes in a pump bottle.

In my 2 weeks of use, I can’t quite report any drastic effects. This can only come with longer use. What I can report however is that this is a very nice night cream that’s light yet keeps my skin moisturized even in air-conditioned rooms. The fact its certified organic is a bonus for those for whom organic/natural skincare matter.

If you are into organic skincare and want something anti-aging, this might just be what you are looking for. Or even if you just want a decent night cream 🙂

A 50ml bottle of Madara Regenerating Night Cream retails for RM148 at all Bodybar outlets and online.

Pros: Skin feels hydrated and well moisturized, Packaging is pleasing to the eye, Pump nozzle is hygienic

Cons: Can be greasy on skin if too much is used
