Peter Alexander sleepwear are too pretty for the bedroom!

November 15, 2009 Paris B 8 Comments

I’d never heard of Peter Alexander before this but my Ozzie buddy Geekchic was quick to remedy that – and create wants where there were none before *wince* So she introduced me to the world of luxury pyjamas or PJs which are way too pretty to be left in the bedroom!

Just look at the dresses above – they won’t look out of place going out eh? Whether it be a summery warm day or a dinner date. In fact I think they would be more out of place as sleepwear. I don’t think I could bring myself to crush them by actually sleeping in them! I might look a bit like a wedding cake in the first dress on the left but the other 2 look like dresses I might wear out!

Even the PJ tops look like they could be worn out with jeans or a pretty skirt. In fact you’d be forgiven for thinking that these are regular tank tops instead of sleepwear!

Truly, Peter Alexander appears to have taken sleepwear out of the bedroom and not in a sleazy undressed sort of way but a tasteful, sweet sort of way.

Price-wise I found the sleepwear pricey… if you use them as sleepwear. That said, I don’t think they are that much pricier than La Senza sleepwear which is pretty pricey in itself (I only ever get mine during the warehouse sales 😉 ). The 3 dresses featured at the top are AU$59 (RM177) and AU$99 (RM297) each. The tops are above AU$35 (RM105) or so. I’ve never seen nor felt them so I don’t know how they really feel or look in person but they look so darned good!

Incidentally you can buy them online and Peter Alexander ships internationally from Australia 😉 Teehee… I haven’t thought about placing an order. Ok I lie, I was thinking about placing an order but was held back by my friend who said she’d alert me to if and when they go on sale. Ah! That 4 letter S word never felt so good to hear! 😉

So sleepwear as outer wear. Who’d have thunk eh?

Stay beautiful,

Paris B

Ahem, let me tell you that because their items are meant for sleepwear, they are very comfortable and the material feels fantastic! I bought a little nightie/dress and it was 100% silk and I wore it to a summer/spring garden wedding. It was PERFECT! When it got cooler at night I’d just throw on a wrap and I’m good.

The trick to this is to dress them up a little. Sparkly shoes, fancier jewelry and a FAB (ahem!) bag. 🙂 I paired my very simple pink dress/nightie with my wedding shoes-uber sparkly, my white Alma and a pink frilly parasol to keep the sun out of my eyes 🙂

i have 3 sets of sleepwear from them and i’ve worn them to bits. but i’ve since discovered another sleepwear brand from down under which is absolutely comfy – pickles and loop.

PA’s boxer shorts are made from thin cotton which can go a little out of shape after several washes. P+L’s sleep shorts are made from soft washed cotton that kinda resembles jersey. i tell you, those are DA BOMB! super duper soft and never goes out of shape. you know how some shorts gather at the ‘triangle’ region after sitting down and they never seem to come back down after you’ve stood up, causing some embarrassment (super short shorts gathered around THAT area). PA has that problem but never P+L.
