I know I said I did not want the Ecotools brush set that everyone raves over, but I did want to try at least 1 Ecotools brush since so many people love it! So, when Makeup Masala (store closed) was having a sale on Ecotools brushes, I jumped at the opportunity! Incidentally you can get Ecotools brushes in Malaysia now.
Ecotools Blush Brush is soft dense and worth the money
I got the Ecotools Blush Brush simply because my MAC 219SE is on its last legs. Its scratching my cheeks to bits everytime I use it! The Ecotools blush brush is lovely and fluffy yet dense and firm enough for blush application. It reminded me of the blush brush from The Body Shop but with a denser head.
It picks up colour well and applies nicely to the cheeks and the synthetic bristles are soft yet firm. Due to its long handle, I only use it at home, and because the handle is made of bamboo, its light. I prefer brushes with a bit of heft to it, but its ok – you get used to it. 🙂
I’m happy with the blush brush – its become my everyday blush brush for now, working well with both light and strong coloured brushes but more so for lighter colours – it picks up colour well so even blushes like Benefit’s Dandelion show up.
I got mine for about RM27 – US$7.75 or so but its retailing in Malaysia for RM45 which I found expensive by comparison to its online prices. If you want an inexpensive blush brush that works, I suppose RM45 is still an ok price to pay but US$7.75 is a way better price to pay! 😉
