Lace Petals Lingerie : Go on Indulge yourself!

October 18, 2009 Paris B 6 Comments

I’m not too much of a fan of buying lingerie online, I’d be the first to admit. Some purchases were so wrong! Its hard buying bras when you can’t try them and then you realise when they get here, you aren’t quite as well endowed as you thought you were 😛

However, lingerie of the sleepwear and nightgown variety was different. I’m prepared to give a little leeway and I’d purchased some pretty nightgowns before through ChicWear an online lingerie boutique, so when the sister site Lace Petals was launched, I hopped over to take a look…. and ultimately, place an order! Turns out that Lace Petals is owned by a friend and she’s given a discount code for MWS readers – yay!

Lace Petals – Sexy Lingerie for the Modern Woman

On the front page, it tells you that Lace Petals has “Sexy Lingerie for the Modern Woman” and they aren’t kidding. The lingerie available on Lace Petals is sexy indeed! Some shouldn’t even be allowed out of the bedroom 😉

Yet in between all the sheer chiffon, peekaboo lace and ribbons are some more sedate wearable gems that can even double up for party wear if you’re the partying sort 🙂 I’d spotted one or two myself but have nowhere to wear it to! 😛

The one I ultimately ordered was a Georgette Slip by Sensual Mystique in Red Violet with Black lace trim at RM249 (here). Sorry ladies, you will NOT see me in this 😛 But you have to take my word for it that it feels very luxurious! I think I’ll need to use my silk sheets when wearing this one just to fit in that image of sensual luxury 😀

Size wise, I went for S/M which fits me well. The material is a little stretchable so its actually very fitting as it looks on the model, but ultimately, comfortable. I usually wear S/M in most clothes depending on cut, and in most European and American brands, I take sizes XS/S so that should give you an idea. Otherwise, Lace Petals has a useful sizing chart you can use as an estimate and each item too has its own sizing chart.

Online Selection of bustiers and corsets

Oh one more thing I liked at Lace Petals – their selection of bustiers and corsets. You could wear some of them under a sheer top with jeans or a skirt for going out or parties or even under a serviceable white shirt under a serious corporate jacket suit.

I’d admit that Lace Petals might not be the place to go to if you are the T-shirts and boxer shorts pyjamas girl, but if you fancy a spot of luxury or something to spice up a relationship (ahem!) or if you’re getting married and need some new sexy lingerie, or just want something for YOU (because every woman deserves to have sexy lingerie), then its a good place to start looking. Nice sexy lingerie never comes cheap and prices at Lace Petals is about what you’d pay at most local lingerie stores anyway.

Free Shipping in Malaysia by courier service

Lace Petals is based in Penang, Malaysia so shipping within Malaysia is free for every order, no matter how big or small. Your item comes by courier, in a tasteful lavender colored giftbox at no extra cost wrapped with white tissue paper. Its ready to go as a gift and you can pay by direct bank in, cheques, credit cards or even by Paypal which is pretty awesome. I placed my order on 13 October and received my package on 14 October. I was not quite expecting it that quickly. 🙂

Lace Petals ships internationally and accepts Paypal

Lace Petals also ships internationally by courier service hence the shipping costs are a little higher than if it was by post. But that also means its a lot safer getting to the destination. International buyers can pay by paypal or credit card.

Discount code for MWS readers

Incidentally, as I mentioned above I found out that Lace Petals is owned by a friend of mine! Small world indeed 😀 I admire her effort in setting up the site in such a tasteful manner; and in choosing the different pieces without crossing over into the seedy. And because she’s a friend, she’s offered a special discount for readers of My Women Stuff!

Just use the code mwslace at checkout under “Promotional Code” and get 10% off your order until 31 October 2009.

I’m eyeing this red satin number – but waiting for it to come back in stock in my size 🙂

Go on then, indulge yourself 🙂

Stay beautiful,

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
