Previous Celebrate October may expect a little delay in receiving your prizes. The car window was smashed last night and the thieves ran away with your makeup packages! I recovered 2 out of 3 but I’d need a little time to get things back on track. Apologies for that!
Now onto happier things. I bet you were wondering when the next October giveaway would be! Well, here it is – Kiehl’s Rare Earth skincare products!
1 winner will win:-
- 1 full size Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Refining Toner
- 1 travel size Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion
- 2 sachet samples of the Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser
Here’s what you have to do… after the jump!
All you have to do to win is tell us in a comment:-
Why should you go camping? or What do you enjoy about camping?
And if you’re wondering why this is the question, here’s the answer Haha! Not technically sponsored by Kiehl’s though I must thank them for the products so here’s a nod to them.

Celebrate October winners are excluded.
Go!

To get in touch with nature, with our inner selves. To experience the early morning fog and chill. To sleep under the stars and just doze away.
Missed those moments very much.
ps: PB, sorry to hear about what happened to your car’s window.
I would love to be a teen again to go for the YAWA camping trip. It sounds like such a fun experience where you get to learn so much. But since I am not and thus can’t go for that, I must say that I like camping as I am a nature person. I love seeing the stars (which is getting lesser in city areas), the greenery and flowers, the wildlife (hopefully not the dangerous ones), the cool, fresh, unpolluted air on my face. That is the life. If only I could escape to that every once in awhile.
why should i go camping?
Camping is not about roughing it out but it is about living on the basic without your playstation, shopping and idiot-box. It’s being the natural human which everyone has forgotten in the rat race of this urban forest. Imagine, nowadays we need to have camps – to learn to be human!
What do i enjoy about a camping?
Camping brings out our natural instinct and appreciation to nature. We start to notice that there are stars in the skies and the insects of the jungle making jungle music. We wake up to the fresh air and moisture in the air with the morning dew on the tents. We don’t have to worry about looking good, make-up, dressing right, being proper – well, that is as long as you don’t sign up for a reality show like “Survivors” 😉
i love camping ! hehe…because we can away from the city and gathering with friends , and we can experience the life that stay together with friends ^^
chatting in the whole night , walking under the moonlight in the jungle may be ? hahaha….it sounds funny !
We should camp, because it teaches us to appreciate:
-the warmth of our beds
-the roofs of our homes that shield us from the cold rain / hot sun.
-the joys of shower to keep us clean and pretty after roughing out.
-what nature has in store for us.. (medicinal plants, herbs, flowers)
It is for us to bond with Mother Nature. We have long forsaken her and it is high time in one’s life to just sit back and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer. Plus, it is also a great way to relax stressed out minds and really find the inner peace in you.
What I enjoy most about camping is chilling out with friends and relaxing after a long trek/climb, sharing stories, photos and helping each other find and remove leaches.
Let’s see…uhm becoz we hurt and pollute our planet waaay too badly! In order to save it, we need to know and love it..and the best way is to get lost in the nature. I love the smell and sound of the woods~
The only thing I dislike about camping is the bugs! I can’t sleep becoz of them! LOL I’m afraid they would get into my ear or something like that XDDDDDD
i go camping to debrief, to connect with myself! i usually returned refreshed and more focus. mother nature heals~
Camping teaches us ways to survive without the convenience of modern technology equipment and comfort of the usual lifestyle. It also draws us closer to Mother Nature which most of us have neglected in our hectic life. It’s a good experience to be back to the basics of living.
For those who want to escape the usual hectic life in the city…having a peaceful life by just doing simple and basic stuff…..then you have to go camping…..
what i missed about camping is the calmness feeling….seeing the lush greenery surroundings along with serene sounds made from birds and insects….
i also can’t forget how rejuvenated i am when splashing myself in the cool river….i felt more energetic and relaxed when camping…That experience you can not get it the city, it is like a therapeutic treatment for stressed people….only throughout camping you will understand and appreciate our nature better…..
Why should i go camping?/ Apart from me feeding blood to the mosquito(giving back to earth \(@.@)/ KIDDING>> i guess the best answer is to relax… or at least try to relax.. this will be the one time whereby no one can really call you (unless using Maxis.) but ya.. it is a time for you to relax and enjoy yourselves.. and take some time of to remember and reflect..
If I have a chance to go for camping, I would definitely go for it. As a working adult, we can hardly find time do what we want and whenever we want.
Think about it, isn’t camping more relaxing and wonderful than staying in a hotel?
The best thing about camping is to enjoy the tranquility and the fresh air that makes our mind so relaxed. I still remember it vividly when I used to involve in Scout Jamboree. The feeling is unforgettable.
The sad thing today is we human have been damaging the earth and we can see now many people are suffering from global warming. Well it is all because of US!
Haha, camping’s not my thing but I do like it in a way. Especially the campfire sessions where you get to bond with everyone, eating the food that everyone helped cooked, sitting under the night sky.. What a blissful experience, if you can exclude the mosquitoes.
A campfire experience will always remind me to appreciate what we have back at home. The comforts and the luxury, I miss my comfy bed & pillows the most when I’m away from home.
A good bonding with nature campfire is good experience but we do make sure that clean-up is done properly afterwards. Lol, it would be awful and pointless if the camp site is littered with rubbish after camping right?
why should i go camping??
weehuuuu.. spend times with bff and friends, excape from everyday hectics life. It’s one of my therapeautic wayss to release tense instead of playing with make-up..appreaciate mother nature and have a blast time with the jungle and douche at waterfall…
What do i enjoy about a camping?
sleep in tent.., cooking easy foods…and for night time,..setting for ghost-story telling..and everybodyyy screamingg…as a result…noone sleep that night! 😛
I enjoy cooking when I go camping because i get to make do with limited resources. The campfire and just thinking of what to cook makes me so excited and it makes the food yummier! Best of all if its done with friends..the feeling is just out of this world =)
I wont be alone, that s why. Nobody goes camping alone! Buddies, sisters, brothers, spouses, kiddies will be together to accompany one another — and the togetherness factor will highlight the day (^.^)
Being away from the hustle-bustle of the city, inhaling the rare clean O2, listening to the sound of peace, the music in nature will rock me to zzz for the nite.
Go camping!
I love spending time with mother nature, to indulge and appreciate the wonder of it, no matter how small Her creation is. Some time ago, myself and 7 other very good friends of mine went camping at Sungai Congkak, Hulu Langat. It was literally back to the basics. Everyone were on each others’ wits from putting up the tents (those in scouts & girl guides eventually forgot their way after so many years hehe), setting up the bonfire, cooking meals. Taking our bath by the small stream nearby (literally ‘polluted’ the river with soap/shampoo, oppss, bad i know), warming ourselves in sleeping bags, waking up with chickens’ clucks and the serene sound from forest nearby.. wholesome fun.
I should go camping because… I’ve been so out of touch with nature that it’s not funny anymore (not saying that it has ever been funny, but you know). I’m so unfit that I can’t even climb stairs without turning into a hyperventilating slush. Going camping will hopefully knock some fitness into my body. Also, maybe it’ll teach me to appreciate mother nature more and give it the respect that she deserves.
Camping will be enjoyable because there’s fresh air, good outdoorsy food and makes you believe that the simpler life is the healthier it will be and takes away all the focus of being materialistic. As the cliche goes “sometimes the best things in life are free”, e.g. sunsets and starry night sky.
Sorry to hear about your car. Darn those thieves! They are real pathetic
