Previous Celebrate October may expect a little delay in receiving your prizes. The car window was smashed last night and the thieves ran away with your makeup packages! I recovered 2 out of 3 but I’d need a little time to get things back on track. Apologies for that!
Now onto happier things. I bet you were wondering when the next October giveaway would be! Well, here it is – Kiehl’s Rare Earth skincare products!
1 winner will win:-
- 1 full size Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Refining Toner
- 1 travel size Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion
- 2 sachet samples of the Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser
Here’s what you have to do… after the jump!
All you have to do to win is tell us in a comment:-
Why should you go camping? or What do you enjoy about camping?
And if you’re wondering why this is the question, here’s the answer Haha! Not technically sponsored by Kiehl’s though I must thank them for the products so here’s a nod to them.
This will be a short one so you just have 48 hours from now to submit your entries. Only for those with a Malaysian mailing address and deadline is 12 noon 16 October 2009.
Celebrate October winners are excluded.
Go!

It will do city girls like me good to figure out how to answer the call of nature right smack in the middle of nowhere. Not to mention it’s good to get away from the city and be amazed at how marvellous this universe is and how tiny and insignificant we are. Minus the mosquitoes, I think sleeping under a canopy of stars is one of the most romantic things in the world. I’ve always dreamed of going to Central Australia, pitch a tent right at the foot of Uluru and realise how this piece of majestic rock has stood the test of millions of years.

What I enjoyed most about camping is the friendship that I bond with fellow campers under the starry sky. It’s during this time , teammates matter the most as there’ll be no tv ,internet or handphone for entertainment. Instead we could soak ourselves in the wonders of Mother nature and at the same time listening to ghost stories!

On the other note, I’m so sorry to hear that the car window is smashed. Hope you’re doing alright.

I have loved camping (the real jungle outdoorsy type) since 5, and I just love the ways we get to do all things out of the ordinary when you are out of your usual comfort zone! I think everybody should go camping at least once in their life coz it lets you learn things, amazing things that you could never learn in school or from theory alone, such as starting a fire from nothing but sticks and leaves, cooking lunch and dinner over a campfire!!! Parents especially should bring their kids camping coz I still remember very fondly how my godma and fellow scout members made tents and beds for us to sleep on!!! Cool memories!!!

Camping gives us a change to get away from our everyday routined life, get close to mother nature and not to mention our loved ones. Sit around the campfire talking throughout the night and making us realize how we tend to neglect our loved ones in our everyday lives. Now we don’t always have the chance to spend so much time with our family no? I think we spend more time with our colleagues instead.

I was just reminiscing my camping days a few days ago. My friends and I would stay up till the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes we would play pranks on other campers, and ooh what I like about camping is that we get to do what we want…subject to camp rules of course! The experience, the bonding and the friendships made are all that’s made it worthwhile! 🙂

I love camping because i felt relax, enjoy the moment cooking with campfire ,enjoy being away from daily hustle_bustle last but not least the moment we slept in the tent while listening to the insects sound 😀

why should i go camping?
To release the tension that i have for these couple of days. I feel tired and need to be freshen up by the cool virgin atmosphere 😉
What do i enjoy about a camping?
Of course, the companionship. I would love to have a girly talks with my bffs in a jungle!

why pay for 5-star accommodation when you can get to enjoy 50 billion stars all for free?
camping brings people together – conversations get going, and laughter bubbles over like that gooey egg-and-baked-beans mess that’s cooking over the campfire. and while all that is going on, grown-ups rediscover lost childhood memories, and children make their own.

Ok, camping… not really my thing. Have only been camping twice in my whole life, but so far what i love most about camping, is when i go back home! I LOVE and appriciate EVERYTHING!
but i also benefit from camping, just getting away from the hussle and buzzle of the city and also i get to sleep early most nights, since we have nothing to do and it’s spooky dark.

I wonder what will the thieves think once they rip open the package and see the makeup? Play ‘paint our faces!’? Must’ve been such a hassle for you. I hope your luck gets better from this point on!
To be honest I have never gone camping before as I’m a prime target for mosquitoes. Hate them with a vengence. So for the purpose of this question I shall pretend u meant camping in COLD countries with NO mosquitoes.
I SHOULD go camping because it would help to slowly ‘purge’ my body of the toxins it absorbs on a daily basis in our polluted metropoliton. I have this ailment which comes and goes where I would get hives unexpectedly in all sorts of places. My doctor suggests I try spending some time outside the city with cleaner air once in a while to help distance myself from whatever chemical or pollutant thats causing me all this trouble.

Why should i go camping?
Because it has been a while since i went for a camping.
Camping enables me to detox myself from all the stress and at the same time appreciating nature while they’re still around. Come to think of it, maybe i should plan one for this weekend. 🙂 I love camping at the waterfall…. hahaha… thanks for the inspiration… suddenly this contest makes me wanna go for camping really2 bad….

When i was a kid, i hate camping trip. Until one day my family decide to go to camping trip with the whole family members. And surprisingly, it is so much fun! We build the camp together, eat, drink, sleep, laugh. It really brings all the family together. It also helps to create the bond for each of us and learn how to cooperate each other and make a great team work.
I remember once when we goes to camping, we bring along our late grandmother for camping, and she loves it! She enjoy having bath at the river and cook using woods instead of stove. Very old school and she said this is how she lives when she was young back then. I’m going to miss that moment…

What do I enjoy about camping?
I’ve been only gone camping three times, during high school. It never failed to bring me whole new experience and it always differed in each occasion. I love challenge and experiencing something new, and camping fits my personality just nice 🙂

Camping is a form of self catering which benefits from minimal cost and I can enjoy the nature.
Sleeping in a tent outdoors is amazing and I feel alive listening to every sound outside at night.

Living in KL for the last 25 yrs, where it is all concrete jungle, to escape into the wild, is heavenly. While camping, you get in touch with mother nature and appreciate life and things around while it is still there. A very good stress reliever, because life can get so hectic at times and you lose touch with your mind and soul. Camping helps me destress 🙂 thats what I enjoy best

We should go camping to feel closer to nature!
The only time I went camping was a total disaster. My college buddies and I decided to go on a whim and did not do proper planning or have proper equipment. It rained heavily and our sleeping bags were soaked to the core! We finally gave up and head to our friend’s home for in-house camp session. 🙂

I’m not really a camping person but I love the fact that it gets you in touch with nature. Ive been camping a couple of times when I was in NS. It was scary but fun 🙂
