Name one person or one item that has never failed you
Mine is an item: one of my pen drives in the early days of 256k pen drives – remember those? It went into the washing machine… on spin cycle and worked beautifully after being dried. It never failed me but instead went missing. They don’t make them like that anymore.
This contest is only open to those with a Malaysian mailing address and prizes will be sent by the sponsors. 5 winners will be picked at random after the closing date on 7 August 2009 (12 noon).

Mowgli and Peanut, my two mini-schnauzers are by far my most reliable, no-fail companions! When all else disappoints, I know I can come home to the unconditional love of my furry friends. Ready to greet me at the door, never ever talk back, and willing to plant wet kisses on me–I’d say they have never failed on me! 🙂

one person that never failed me is my dad. no matter how many times i defy him, he will always be there for me. never once mentioned ‘i told u so’ eventho at times i deserved it. he always put me above himself, give me all i want, and most importantly even if the whole world is against me i know i always have him by my side. my oh my, his patience is over the top, he deserves a halo 😛

Mine would be my own wills. I strive for what I wanted and believe that I could do it. I made most of it happened. I know it’s not an item or person but it’s something.

One item that has never failed me is my totally old skool Sony Walkman my mom bought for me more than 8 years ago. I’ve dropped it tons of times (I’m a klutz XD) and it runs on AA batteries, but it’s lasted me longer than some of those new MP3 players 😉

The one item that has never failed me is my totally old skool Sony Walkman that was a gift from my mom more than 8 years ago. It’s been dropped many times (I’m a klutz XD) and runs on AA batteries, yet it’s never given up on me unlike some of the new MP3 players 😉

The one person who have never failed me all this while is none other than my mom. Corny I know but she has been through everything with me and stood right beside me, cheering me, supporting me, even over the silliest thing. Should any unplesant scenario arise, I know I could count on her to be there. And she stuck by me though I was horrid to her during my rebellious teenage years. The power of a mother’s love.

My boyf. 😀
He’s my everything. I’m not perfect, and neither he is; but we know we’re perfect for each other! I think my blog is solid proof of how much I appreciate and LOVE him. 🙂
I love you baby~!

Ooo… Another giveaway!
Hmmm… Something that has never failed me is my trusty K750i handphone! With the countless drops, it’s still faithful to me after 3 years… haha… Now I see so many nice phones, but tak sampai hati to switch phones… I love the camera function – auto-focus!! What’s not to love? Good luck to the others =)

I would have to say the first laptop my dad got me – a IBM ThinkPad R40. It was big, heavy and bulky, but lasted me all through my uni years and beyond…it’s been dropped (once even off a table!), bumped, knocked, had water and other drinks spilt on it, covered three continents……and despite all that, never lost any data or crashed on me. It’s STILL working today some 7 years later!

My ratty, about-to-fall-apart-but-I-still wear-’em Birkies in Gizeh. I’ve had them since I was 18 and almost 6 year later I still wear the same pair whenever I can (not so much these days cause they’re not quite acceptable workplace shoes but they come out every weekend). They are the one item of clothing i have never gotten sick of and have lasted me through daily treks to uni over 4 years (except in winter) and heavy abuse from my teething puppies

A person who is special to me. She is my dear Aunt who took care of me since I was merely one month old. She raise me up all these years without asking for any repayment. When I am sick, she will make sure that she takes good care of me until I get well. I will always be full because she will always feed me with food. Until today even I’m already 23, I am not embarrass to say that every morning she will still prepare breakfast for me to bring to office. She is the one who hold me up whenever I am down. She had never or ever will fail me.

When I most desperately needed help once, my mobile phone (nokia 3210) did not fail me. Many years ago, there was once when I was supposed to be in a very important demo at an unfamiliar place. All the servers and props for the demo were in my car, therefore, I MUST be there. I was supposed to reach the destination with some guidance from a colleague via phone. FYI, I was at home. But I was running late and accidentally dropped the phone into the toilet bowl (of all the time, it had to happen then!!). To my horror, my phone went dead. Now, without a mobile phone, how am I supposed to get to the destination, without phone support? I had no spare phone either. It was during morning peak hour and I couldn’t get a cab! Nonetheless, I disassembled the phone. Dried all the parts. I drove out anyway. 30 mins later, while in the car, I assembled back the phone and incredibly, the phone was working again!! You can’t imagine how grateful and happy I was feeling that day! The phone was LIFE-SAVER to me!

One thing that had never failed me is my favorite pillow! It has been with me through thick and thin. It keeps me warm, comforts me on bad days, and so much more than can be said here. 😀

My dad. I grew up in a traditional, conservative Chinese family and thus we never really had many hugs or affectionate gestures. Well, he can’t cook but he definitely did make sure we had dinner together as often as we could. He was somehow always there miraculously for us whenever we needed him. Until recently we found out he was diagnosed with cancer, then only I realized how important he is in our lives and the fact that he is the only person in my life whom I can 100% count on. I must admit I never really appreciated his presence but now I’m truly grateful for every minute I can spend together with him.
