Lets have a reason to celebrate – because you’re worth it!!

August 31, 2009 Paris B

I had another giveaway planned for today but its going to be a bit delayed. Still, lets not let a good celebration go to waste eh? 😀

I have 2 reasons for running a giveaway today:-

  1. Its Malaysia’s National Day so we’re having a public holiday – yay! 😀
  2. I posted my 1000th post yesterday charting up yet another blogging milestone – yay!

Also, L’oreal Paris turned 100 this year and this Grand old French Dame celebrated her centennary with a bang! I wasn’t there at the party but the kind people at L’oreal sent me a care package of their most recent star products.

I love them dearly but I couldn’t possibly use all the goodies! So I decided I’d spread the love. Nothing better than sharing a good thing eh? 🙂

I’m all about feeling positive – its my new philosophy in life – and I do try to find something positive in every day. Just getting to the office on time without encountering slow traffic is positive enough for me! 🙂

So, to take part, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me:-

What’s the nicest thing to happen to you this past week?

Me: Having my sister offer to send and pick me from KL Sentral for my early morning flight and late night return

This giveaway is open to readers with a Malaysia mailing address only due to shipping weight and you may leave just one comment. If you win and are an email subscriber or a Twitter follower, I’ll throw in some extra special goodies from my personal gift pile! 😀

Ooo… Another giveaway… You’re the best! You ought to go out and celebrate cuz 1000 posts is not an easy feat…

What’s the nicest thing to happen to you this past week?
hmmm… Quite hard since I was bogged down with tons of hw… I guess it had to be on Friday when I was in the monorail and an old man stepped into it… This kind young malay lady offered her seat to him =)
He was hesitant and declined her offer but she had already stood up and offered again with a smile on her face… In the end, he sat and said thank you… She was sincere and polite… unlike the others who buat tak tahu… I know, because they looked at him and then looked away…

    U must be wondering why I didn’t give up my seat? Haha… Well, I wasn’t sitting down… hehe…

Selamat menyambut Hari Merdeka… Quiet celebration this yr…

    hello! happy merdeka! 🙂

the nicest thing that happened to me last week was my best friend offering to buy me lunch since she has just recently started working and i’m still a student (and broke). this was despite her having to pay her road tax and insurance around that time and to settle her other financial obligations, which did not leave much leftover.

The nicest thing was I threw up yesterday nite at 4am and my bf jumped up to pat my back, boiled water for hot water pack to put on my stomach, and rub my stomach with oilment.

    hello!
the nicest thing that happened to me the past week will have to be my granny who survived an asthma attack yesterday morning. She is 87 years old and thank god my uncles were there to help out. She even claimed that they saved her life as anyone would know that asthma attack can be dangerous, even fatal at times. I couldn’t help crying when i heard of her situation as i was unable to be by her side due to the upcoming college exam. I’m really happy and thankful that she is able to live on and i hope that she can continue to stay with us for many many years to come.
    I love you granny!!

The nicest thing that happened to me in the past week is that my bf’s father invited me to join them for a charity dinner. I am truly happy because it’s an opportunity to bond closer to his family. Plus, it’s for charity, the food is good and the entertainment was superb! (imagine: phat fabes, datuk david arumugam, point blanc, michael jackson imitators, etc).

p/s: the next nicest thing that is going to happen would be if i won this contest. 😀

The best thing that has happened to me this week is getting to buy my first ever dazzleglass from MAC! I got Via Veneto from the Euristocrats II collection and I am absolutely in love with this product.
Albeit how pricey this thing is with such little product I’m getting, it is all worth it! Because I’m worth it! Haha! I decided to splurge on this dazzleglass ’cause I had a lil’ cash in hand and have absolutely no regrets. It is such a pretty color and I love it to bits. Makeup always makes me happy. So, this is the best thing that has happened to me this week and probably for this month! Happy 52nd Birthday, Malaysia!

The nicest thing thing to happen this past week would be spending time with my boyfriend. I may sound like a girl who has no life and is surgically stuck to her boyfriend’s ribs, but I’m not. See, we’ve been in a long distance relationship for the past 6 years, and I only get to see him every major holidays, New Year, Chinese New Year, Harvest Festival, Labour Day, Hari Raya, and Christmas, and every holiday, I get to see him only bout a couple of few days. And this time, I’m back home for my brief holiday, he drove 8 hours all the way from the place he work to come and see me. And despite the lack of time seeing him and the distance, I realise I’m still so crazy about him. And every moment with him is precious. Coz I think he’s worth it 😀

The nicest thing that happened to me this week happened today! I spent Merdeka day with my cousins from Malacca in an aunt’s place in Puchong (who just gave birth to her 4th child). Their mother cooked nasi kerabu while my mother fried some keropok for us to enjoy while celebrating the 52nd year Tanah Melayu gained its independence and us being able to live and love freely and happily for 52 years! 😀

The nicest thing that happened to me this week was spending a whole day out with my family as this rarely ever happens because we are always so busy during the weekends. And also, a visit to Skytrex at Shah Alam with my bunch of friends challenging ourselves through obstacle courses which are all pretty vertically challenging.
