Update: Pattybelle.com is no longer in business.
Remember when I wrote about Yuan Handmade soaps? It seemed to generate some interest from people who wanted to try these organic herbal soaps which I found and I still find very good for me. You might be pleased to know that the Yuan herbal soaps are now also available online at Patty Belle as well as in health food stores. As I don’t frequent health food stores ( 😛 ) online is the best way to go for me for now.
Patty Belle is an online store selling a variety of beauty and handmade products. I’m not too familiar with some of the products carried, except the Yuan organic soaps. I have seen brands like Tsuya-tsuya at some malls where I see promotions for mascara and feet treatment products. However, other brands like La Fontaine Collagen masks and B-fit slimming products have flown under my radar.
The selection of Yuan soaps at Patty Belle is quite extensive, where they carry most of the popular soaps, as well as the hair soap and laundry soap. I’m quite curious about the Liquorice Hair Soap so I’m going to buy that one of these days and try it and see how it fares, especially when it claims to reverse the balding process! Not that I’m balding… yet 😉 The soaps range between RM22.50 to RM29.50 which is a reasonable price.
Not only does Patty Belle carry beauty stuff, there is a small selection of handmade products as well from a few different people. These products are mainly handmade jewelry and cell phone charms.
I was quite captivated by some of the handmade pouches under the Tresor collection. The silk embroidered cosmetic pouches (RM24.90) caught my eye which I thought would come off as great little gifts because they can be used for cosmetics in your bag or just to keep keys in your bag. If its within your budget, it might even make a good gift bag for small gifts. Think of it as a 2-in-1 gift. Heaven knows there is any number of things I can do with a nice little pretty slim pouch! Too bad I discovered it a little too late for Christmas.
Patty Belle is based in Malaysia and ships internationally using courier service which means it can be tracked. Shipping information can be obtained here. I found the local shipping costs reasonable as it is by private courier service which is (usually) more reliable. However, if you are buying only very few items, it can work out a little costly. So, it would make sense to split the shipping costs and share with friends or family. Payment can be made using credit cards, bank transfers or Paypal – all quite common and convenient.
If you register as a member of Patty Belle, it will entitle you to previews of specials and discounts which Patty Belle may run from time to time. It’ll also make it easier for you to make your purchases in future and maybe even make it easier for you to track what you last bought.
Patty Belle will be at the Bijou Bazaar Creative Mafia @ Youth ’09 at PWTC in Kuala Lumpur on 9-11 Jan 2009. So, if you are at a loose end you might want to pop by and see if you can pick up any deals.
I have teamed up with Patty Belle for some awesome monthly giveaways starting in February 2009 so you’d have to stay tuned for that, right? 🙂
